Just checking, but you do realise that five out of seven of the Roman weapons not included in the pack aren't actually unlocked by the ITF, right?

    TPN massive fail

A few days ago, a league I was on got kicked from TPN. When we could finally log back in, a bunch of us had lost the 60 thread reward from defeating Maelstrom part way through -- there seemed to have been some kind of short character roll-back, as the 60 thread drop was about 8 min before the kick. No dice from CS about getting the threads restored to teh character, so I'm leaving TPN well alone until I'm sure the bug is fixed. Having to restart is one thing, potentially losing rewards already gained is quite another.

This is pretty much how I've felt about the arc so far.

The only people so far I feel genuinely have had the dumb in a way that felt implausible are the Midnighters. If Darrin Wade showed up in the middle of any mysterious invasion of the Club, I would think their first instinct would be to shoot first and chat later -- probably a chat involving some very searching questions. Because unlike the Phalanx, they *do* know him.

I always do the Midnighter arc early enough that I can keep the Cure Lost temp for the early Faultline arcs. I find it one of the most useful temps in the game, really -- even the squishiest of non-mez-protected squishies can breeze through Faultline solo when all the cured Rectors are being shot at uselessly by their friends.
  7. Regular missions currently only allow a +1 incarnate shift to apply. So if you are +1 +2 or +3, you will only see a +1 shift in normal content.

An incarnate shift is not really the same thing as a level shift, and rewards is one of the areas that illustrate that. If you are a 50+1 fighting level 50 minions, they will con blue to you. However, they will drop all rewards as if they were equal to your level (or, if you like, as if you were equal to theirs), including inf.
  8. Illusion Control: When I got my Patron Pool powers and got an actual ATTACK, I ran around giddy with excitement blasting everything I could find, which convinced me that Ill was probably not for me. I actually got the character to 50 because I made it for a weekly team, AND then setted it out for perma-PA, which just meant that my boring uncontrollable pets could bore me 100% of the time.

Dark Melee: Even when Shadow Maul hits I hate the slow flailing animation of my only AoE that doesn't recharge in geological time. And them I miss and I hate it a thousand times more. God, you stupid, stupid character, you MISSED already. Stop DOING that.

Super Strength: Footstomp - some filler attack with a boring animation - some other filler attack with a boring animation - and another filler attack with another boring animation - Footstomp. So much fun!

Spines: I ran a Spines and a Claws scrapper up to 50 in parallel, and I just love the Claws animations and sound effects so much more that I can't make myself care about losing an extra damage aura. Spines is fine, really, I'd just always roll Claws instead.
  9. I'd be happy with consolidating IO into tiers, every 5 levels, like SO and Common IOs, as has often been suggested before. That would concentrate supply to improve trading in sub-50 recipes and IOs, and make spread-bidding easier, while still leaving the scaling properties of Paragon Market IO as a selling point. To neaten things up even more, I'd then also make IO sets keep their bonues to 5 level below their level rather than, to bring them in line with keeping powers when sidekicked down.

Of course, there are still problems to solve, such as what do you do with all the IOs that people already have slotted?

For all those who say it would ruin the market(WW/BM). You're probably the one's that have driven up the prices in the first place, by "playing" the market.
So...just out of curiosity, what effect do you imagine that allowing people to pour vast volumes of additional inf into the economy might have on prices in the AH?

That's pretty much what it looks like now, only tinted red. I have to admit, I was hoping for something cooler that what we got. The cemetery area itself is nice, but honestly I think they'd be better off putting the fog back in the rest of the zone (if maybe a bit less dense) if they aren't going to do anything more interesting with it.

(Okay, I guess he looks much the same in the current screen, but at least in that picture his lack of assets doesn't have that attention-grabbing "Hey, viewer, look at my TOTALLY FLAT CROTCH!" thing going on right in the center of the composition that the new one does. Maybe it's just because it happens to be directly in my eyeline on my monitor, but it makes me sporfle every time I see it. Underwear of STEEL.)

However, if you're playing with a regular group, then you can make sure that everyone starts the arc at the same time, and then everyone can read their own story text as you go along. There's an option somewhere to allow completing other's missions to count as completing an identical active mission of your own, and I can't remember if that if on or off by default.

OP: There's a list on the Paragonwiki of all the Villain arcs and Strike Forces that reward Merits, which basically means that they're the arcs with plots, rather than the one-off missions your contact will offer you as well:

    http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Villain_Merit_Rewards

If you run short of contacts, then remember that you can do a variable number of paper missions for the contact you're given the first time you enter a zone, and they will then offer you a Mayhem Mission, after while you'll be given a choice of new contacts.

And welcome to the game! If you ever venture over to Defiant (the other English language server from the former EU server list), then make sure you join the Defiant Events EU channel.

Premium players have 2 slots (that's 2 total, not per server), plus any that have been given out as vet or other awards or bought. Also, any extra slots already allocated to a server will become server slots, not global slots, and can only be assigned to slots on that specific server.

If you have actually *bought* enough extra slots to give you 36 (that's *extra*, not the 12 per server given under the pre-Freedom system) and you only have 26, then you need to put in a support ticket.

Don't think about it. Really. Otherwise, you might start to wonder what was the point of destroying the weapons caches in the base in the first place, when the Praetorians can teleport a seeming unlimited number of them into the courtyard from...somewhere else that we forgot to destroy, I guess.

Just kill things and take their stuff, which is the real point after all.

  19. I honestly can't tell if the OP is serious or not. Give people ten free transfers per server to be closed down, and then if there are any characters left on the servers, transfer them to a random server anyway and give them all a free transfer token? That's...very random. Bordering on bizarre.

So the first thing a player will see is a constantly scrolling list of people trying to get them to buy inf, burying all their tells, global channels, team chat etc.

Even people who wanted to buy inf still wouldn't want to see that. So at that point, players will either 1) leave the game, or 2) take the AD channel off their chat panel. This means that RMT traders would, exactly as now, go to broadcast, local and help to peddle their wares, and get banned exactly as they do now.

So all your suggestion would actually do is create a metric ton of ill-will for Paragon and work for the NCSoft CS as people lose their accounts and have their card details stolen and sold, because NCSoft have absolutely no way at all of telling in advance which seller is going to do that (other than 'a lot of them'). Only now, instead of NCSoft saying 'RMT is not allowed, and we will ban you for doing it', they're pushing their customers towards the rip-off merchants, so they will be blamed.

This is just a really bad idea, from top to bottom. There have been some truly terrible ideas posted in the Suggestions forum over the years I've been playing, but this is definitely one of the most unworkable and illogical. Dual Wield Bows would make more sense.

  22. My first character (rad defender) was created deliberately as a character to try out the game systems. I played her exclusively to level 50, and then I created my actual main, which was the character type I intended to create as my main all along (fire blaster).

    Need Help.

I'm really sorry you're having problems. I'd recommend asking the question again up in the technical issues forum, where the most technically savvy players congregate.

This is bad speed-running. For good speed running, the squishies will be covered in lovely Ice armour or similar buffs, or know to bring along a suitable stack of purple candy. If peoples' speed runs are littered with dead squishies, then they definitely are Doing It Wrong. (Said as someone who speed runs ITFs on a zero-def Fire blaster.)
