"Toon" is a pet peeve of mine, too.
Also, "mob" is singular, short for "mobile". A group of aggro-linked mobs is a "spawn". People have come to conflate the English word "mob" (mAHb) an unruly group of people, with it, even referring to spawns as "mobs".
Get off my lawn! -
The real answer is SJ/NIN/Weapon Stalker. You are the night!

Disappointing that personal bases aren't even on the radar (and probably impossible from a tech standpoint according to the answer), and point cards will probably never happen, for whatever strange reason. At the very least I'd like to see support of Ultimate Game Card added. That'd be a minimal-hassle solution for NCSoft.
There's a very good reason you want to give free players access to SG membership: it gets them involved with the community, community involvement being key to retention, and retention is key to them becoming a paying customer. It benefits VIPs also as they have a larger pool of players to get SG members from. Really, it's a win-win-win situation for NCSoft, VIPs and free players to allow them SG membership. -

Uh, that was the end? What about Master Midnight? Doesn't he give missions or something?

If true, that Energy/Ice or Energy/Energy Stalker I was planning on making for I22 is looking better and better. I22 Stalker changes+I22 Energy/ changes=oh, yeah!

In my opinion, the sexual situations reason has never been the real reason there are no female pets for Masterminds. This idea most likely originated within the player base to explain the phenomenon of no female pets being available, and had since grown to a certain level of acceptance even among the devs (though most likely apocryphally).
Again in my opinion, the reason you see no female pets is the same reason you see no female Wolf Spiders: (even though they were part of City of Villains' original design intent; see the Art of City of Villains book for proof) cost cutting.
The sexual situation explanation has overtaken the most-likely explanation because it captures the imagination like a simple cost-cutting explanation never could. -

It took me about 5 minutes to digest the OP. Ima have another coffee with NyQuil in it. I call it a "Ghost Widow".

Quote:If this is how it works, this proc should be fine, shouldn't it? Maybe I'm missing something.Yes, that's what it does. The Fury inherent checks to see if you have it slotted.
[min <= num <= max] acts as a clamp that limits a number to those values.
Normal Fury:
[0 <= (Attacks * 0.5) <= 10] * [0 <= ((100 - Fury) / 20)^2 <= 10]
Fury with Brute's Fury Special slotted:
[0 <= (Attacks * 0.55) <= 10] * [0 <= ((100 - Fury) / 20)^2 <= 10]
Fury with Superior Brute's Fury Special slotted:
[0 <= (Attacks * 0.575) <= 10] * [0 <= ((100 - Fury) / 20)^2 <= 10]

These forums are the home of minmaxers, and the only path a minmax Dominator player is going to follow is +Recharge, because it provides the most benefit compared to anything else.
All those years ago when the IO system was first released, I was the lone voice in this forum saying I was going after Defense when everyone else (well, almost everyone else) was going after Recharge.
Lots of Defense on a Dom is a bit "meh" compared to other Archetypes because a Dom's controls are what keeps them safe the vast majority of the time. Defense serves to give you some breathing room for mistakes, but that's about it (okay, it can help with those nasty PToDs, too). The controls make it semi-redundant because if you're not making mistakes your Defense isn't doing much for you.
But I still love me some Defense. On Gravity it's a great way to go as Singy throws out so many controls, you can spend much more time assaulting than any other Dom would be able to. The Defense combined with Singy's tanking and controlling makes for a very unique Dom play experience.
I don't generally post builds though, so ask in the Builds forum for a softcap Dom build and someone may do one up for you. -
A feature of Unstoppable I don't see mentioned very often is the extra mez protection it gives. When soloing mez heavy spawns set for 8 (especially when taking on multiple Master Illusionists) you can get mezed long enough to be defeated. It's an extreme edge case, but still a factor.
It also gives an extra source of Recovery for those rare times when your Recovery is highly debuffed. It was nice having the extra Recovery even on a fully IOed Brute in the Alpha Slot unlock story arc, or when fighting Vanguard and you get hit with that curse that heavily debuffs your Recovery. Again, an edge case, but something to think about.
And with attention and practice, the chance of being defeated when Unstoppable crashes approaches zero.
When fighting the IDF or Resistance, I never leave home without it. -
If NCSoft didn't want to go to the trouble of making their own cards, they could add Ultimate Game Card support instead. Better yet, both!

Part of the problem here is you're taking an Incarnate softcap build into non-Incarnate content, meaning a significant portion of your build/set bonuses is worthless outside of Incarnate content.
Make a secondary build that puts you at 45-48% Defense, and use your build and set bonus opportunities to build for other things, like Psi Resistance/Defense, Hit Points, Regeneration, that kind of thing. -
Fight the IDF at that difficulty and see how you do. Vanguard, too.

Is that Staff Fighting or Breakdancing? While your Staff Fighter is spinning around on their back, make sure to make them say, "Whoop, whoop, whoop! Ner, her, her!"
All kidding aside, this set is an automatic purchase for me. I'm guessing the minmaxers will set and forget the Recharge stance as "the" stance. -
It strikes me Energy Aura is a really good SO-only set these days. +Defense, +Recharge and +Endurance all with no IO bonuses or procs. Not too shabby!

I've pretty much sworn off the Incarnate system. Alpha Slot was good, the rest of the slots are one big "WTF?" to me. They take a character and make them into something they're not, instead of making them better at what they are. The Alpha Slot is the sole exception to that. That the iTrials are just a collection of cheat mechanics, and feel like a completely different game certainly doesn't help matters.
I think for the sake of 45-50 standard content, all non-Alpha Incarnate powers should be restricted to iTrials and other iContent. Way too late for that to ever happen, though. -
YES SIR!
I look forward to the Arachnos States of America! (or United States of Arachnos) -
They would probably regret making Hasten as powerful as it is. And Air Superiority is pretty ridiculous for a pool attack as well.
And I agree on the +Defense. Way too much of it in the Invention system. When Blasters are softcapping, something's very wrong.
I'll bet they wish they'd made Knockback more desirable as well. This is a comic book inspired combat game, after all. -
Show is Bragarbage. Cancel it.

What's most weird is they label the caption "Caption". I mean, why? We know it's a caption.

Okay, that blue one with yellow eyes has some suspicious veins on its shaf-- er, body.

Another vote for Olivia d'Abo! She may have been 15 at the time, but I was 14 and very happy to see her on that screen.

One of the biggest failings of bases in this game is that they only look cool if you have the talent to get them to look good. I suspect most players do not and I know I don't.
Another is that bases don't serve much of a practical purpose. All game world services need to be available in bases, in addition to bases offering services only available through them.
I look forward to being able to purchase a personal base that looks cool by default, but can be customized if I want and comes in various theme flavors. A base that offers a full set of services making it a place worth buying and spending time in.
