If this language closure must take place, (and I hate it for our Francophone Canadian friends) let me suggest something: in all Atlases, near Atlas Plaza, place 'Deutscher Bund' and 'Hall Francais' buildings where those language groups can gather for community and maybe even add official Deutsche and Francais help channels.
Per TonyV - sure, lets add a Portuguese Building, too -
I agree with the poster above about the speed of the text-heavy ending on SSA 7.
On a related note (I don't know where else to put this) would the Devs consider a button (for all mishes, not just SSAs) that will let us read the Mission Owner's text? I have been through the SSAs as a team member and still don't know what the story is. It's a shame that I have to lead each SSA myself once to get the details. -
I just heard something on Help channel I liked - how about changing it up and giving us Double-Drop Weekends? A few thousand extra recipes and salvage would help the WWs prices a lot, I'd bet - and a few extra purples around wouldn't hurt either.

No need to follow me up. It was a one-time error, but thought the details might shed light on anyone else experiencing Launcher trouble.
Win 7 64-bit, 8 G memory, nVidia GTX460, error after playing game, closing it, then closing the Launcher (error details from Windows):
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box. -
I am going to suggest Psi blaster. Most of the powers have really long ranges compared with others and most critters don't have much Psi protection. Couple it with Mind/Mental secondary (holds, immob, attacks) for my go-to auto-self-defense power Mind Probe and you can attack long-range and still defend yourself when need

This sort of answers your question. I want MORE COLORS in the color choices.
I often want a lighter yellow and a lighter blue shade for costume trim and
I am sure other folks would like a bigger spectrum for their suits. -
Like B & F, I would choose F
-
I vote D
-
I like B
-
I vote for A

I like A & B, but I guess if I had to choose, I'd say B.

I don't know when the NPC Defeat animations changed (I only noticed in I21), but the new animations are disturbing. The defeated NPCs fold in half, the head spins, limbs rotate into impossible positions and sometimes the middle revolves so much that they look like hourglasses. I liked the old ragdoll style, but the spinning heads and folding are very off-putting.

Two I think need revamping: Bobcat and Desdemona. When ANY of my characters stand next to Bobcat in Studio 55 or next to Desdemona in a mish, I always think how low-rez and undetailed they look. I mean look at Mirror Spirit and then at Bobcat - Bobcat is so 'un-surfaced' compared to Mirror. Desdemona is` supposed to be a main character, but she is so uninteresting compared to her art in the previews or concept art. Fix them please!

I have had two sword/shld toons. The main shield power (deflect) is extra cool because you can slot both Def and Resist in it. You can get good protection early. That said, the lower lvls can be frustrating because the sword attacks are sooo slow. Now that everyone DFBs to lvl 10, that is probably moot, though.

I just installed nVidia 285 drivers (latest) and the flashing has gone away. So, don't know what changed in game, but nVidia seems to be on top of it
nVidia 460 1GB -
Same here, graphics flashing particularly outdoors when flying or turning around. When really bad, character will appear on a black background for a sec and I can see all other characters and NPCs through buildings. Often can see other player's auras through walls, even when not flashing.

I just moved to a win 7 64 PC and of course, reinstalled NC Launcher. In the staged install, it allows you to get into the character creator while the rest loads. It asks if you want standard or ultra graphics. I chose Ultra (I have a Ultra-capable card), but the game started in 800x600. So I would have to create my first character in a horribly vertically compressed mode (I have a widescreen monitor). Would it be possible to add the video/sound options to the Stage 1 download and a button to access them ?

Ok, if you are serious, try this:
1) Get off Vent. A female voice on voicechat will always get you harrassed. mostly by 13-yr-old boys who imagine you look more like Olivia Munn than Velma (nm, scratch that, Velma is kinda nerdcute).
2) Petition the Devs to change your Global to something butch, like Flint Beefstick.
3) Change your forum icon from something other than your real face.
4) Once you get back in game, don't tell anyone you are female. If someone asks, don't reply or say something like: 'Weeeeelll . . .at least {your character name} is female . . ..'. If they harrass you because you are playing a female character, they are stupid. 90% of the female toons are males. Use ignore, kick 'em or leave the team.
A few less serious suggestions:
5) Avoid the words 'cute' and 'outfit', particularly together. 'Cute' should not be used to describe a piece of a costume, only an entire female character (like Joanna in the Prae Trading House, yum).
6) When building a character, slide the Chest slider one click further right than you think it should be.
7) To make sure other players think you are male, be sure to: Any time a mission has the new Mother Mayhem in it, express incredulity for her glandular assets. Calling her Mother Mamhuge is usually enough. -
The biggest change to me has been the Market (Wentworths) so I can get what I need for my toon and the Invention Origins (IOs) that allow set bonuses (like 10% regeneration or 5% movement increase or 2.5% endurance recovery) and allow you to get more boosts per power than SOs.
The second biggest change to me is Praetoria (Going Rogue) which has actual compelling stories (unlike 'Kill 50 x' or 'Rescue Hostage X') that go all the way through the zone. I suggest you create a scrapper there and play all the way through one of the story lines (Resistance or Loyalist - and there are two different versions of those: idealist or realist) without going on higher level teams and out-leveling the story. Read the text too. I found some of the arcs to be quite moving. (Also great visuals and appropriate music.)
Third would have to be Villains. I don't play them much, but the zones there are interesting and the visuals are really cool. Now that they can come to COH and we can go to COV, there is a REALLY complex mix of powersets and teams around to play with.
Fourth, some people might not agree with, but if you have a higher level video card, Ultra mode does amazing things to increase visual realism. You've not seen Independence Port until you've seen it in Ultra mode. -
Servers are still down until at least 12:00 with maintenance. The server status page is broken, so that's no help. Just have to try after noon.

I've seen plenty of all troller TFs do well, so I think the team members matter more (and to some extent, the enemies you face. I mean, werewolves are hard to mez, hold or otherwise debuff).
That said, an all tank TF can work but is really slow without the IO and incarnate boosts.
