While i18 contains the market merger, trading between heroes and villains in co-op zones, the CoP trial. All of these things have been in demand for a very VERY long time. PvP has always been a small minority in this game, even when it was introduced. In terms of giving players what they want i18 wins.

Quote:Do you remember i6? The one that came out with CoV? Considering this issue will be released at the same time as GR it's much more than I would have expected. And yes, they are trying to get people to buy GR. NCSoft is a business. That's what businesses do.It's like toast with no butter or jelly, it's very "dry". This almost seems like a ploy to get people to purchase GR; once they see how much fun everyone else is having in Preatoria as well as side switching.
I think they should have at least given one of the 4 new sets to non GR buyers. -
That's very likely. they've done the same with the original tails and their animated version. We have seen upgrades to costumes already, with the tails as well as glowing costume parts and the reflections that came with Ultra Mode. It's not inconceivable that we'll see more of this in the future.

It was a pretty common bug, just like vet rewards not rewarding on time. Not too long ago they "fixed" the whole system which resulted in quite a few people getting several years of rewards ahead of time.

But, if you are checking on a server that you don't already have that name on and it's unavailable, wouldn't that mean you can delete that toon on the original server and get the name back as long as someone else doesn't grab it while you're playing dress up?
-
But if the selected mission is a talk to contact mission you'll get a message saying you can't teleport to this mission. It won't just teleport you to the first eligible one on your list.
-
Last time I did the extra costume missions they were just the individual hunts. The cape and aura missions are different, but yes, if you are patient enough to do wait around 12 days you should be able to auto complete.
-
People still do these missions? Weird. I usually just auto-complete them.

Quote:From the updated FAQsThat power only seems to be useful for avoiding patrols and PvP. Will getting a prepurchase (early Demon Summoning and Dual Pistols) allow us into the Tier 3 Closed Beta Invite or is it for just preorders?
Quote:What is the difference between prepurchasing and preordering?
If you prepurchase, you are buying the City of Heroes Going Rogue expansion pack from NCsoft.com. You will be able to access the Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning Power Sets immediately, instead of waiting until the official release this summer.
If you preorder, you are placing an early reserve for the City of Heroes Going Rogue Complete Collection through one of our retail partners. These early reserve programs are not managed by NCsoft and may have different pricing and incentives. Furthermore, you will not have access to the Dual Pistols or Demon Summoning Power Sets until City of Heroes Going Rogue officially launches. -
The issue isn't that you want links to back up claims- that's common practice on these forums too. The OP came off as a little demanding, and you are asking for information that has been widely known and easily available for quite some time now. You've been around long enough to know about things like ParagonWiki. That should always be your first stop when you have questions about the game. If the answer isn't there, we probably don't know it.

Quote:Double XP weekends are usually used to draw back old players. Chances are good one won't be around GR release simply because the expansion will draw back a lot of people already. They'd be better off waiting until the shiny factor or GR has worn off to whip out another Double XP weekend.Considering they do them about every 3-4 months, and the last one was at the beginning of March, I'd expect one in late June, early July. Since that is approximately when GR is supposed to be out, chances are good that DXP will hit around then. Unfortunately, they can't tell us when until the time comes closer, in the event that plans change. Don't want the potential legal hassle of someone saying "you promised us X event on Y date and didn't deliver!"

Quote:Since you're already level 5 do this. Go to King's Row and take radio missions until you get the safeguard. They are insanely easy to do and you'll get a temp travel power.
And take heart, once you've leveled up enough to do the Safeguard mish in King's Row (level 5 and above) you'll have access to a temp travel power. -
Quote:Funny, nothing you highlighted or underlined actually answered the question 'why.' The poster's question was why it affected some and not others. Your answer says it affected some. You quoted Avatea, but did you actually read what she said? She already gave the answer to your question:
(I bolded and underlined some parts for emphasis.)
A better reply would have been that the actual awarding of extra vet rewards was a bug that the devs predicted would happen to some players, and that it didn't actually affect everyone in the way the poster thought (i.e. counting inactive accounts as active for rewards).
A friend of mine went from the 50s to the 66ish without ever canceling his account. -
Quote:So you've sent two petitions? If you have a 3/6/12 month sub check your account again. The dates of your next rewards should be listed.Or not...
I sent an email to support on Jan. 5th for the 51 and 54 months rewards that were several weeks overdue. That got fixed in a couple of days, no complaints with CS.
But I had to sent another one yesterday for the 57 months reward, which I did not get either.
Third time the charm ??
When this happened to me I sent a petition and it was fixed. The very next reward was late again, so I sent another petition. AFTER the second petition my rewards were put back on the usual schedule.
Although, as mentioned above this hasn't been the case for everyone. -
And once it's been fixed keep an eye on your reward dates. Often the following reward will be a little off too. After two petitions it is usually ok.

The simple answer is you don't force it. If a character switches sides before 40 they have access to the new side's EPPs. If the character already has one when they switch side then leave it alone. They may have to choose a different pool if they respec, but there's no need to force someone out of the pool they already have.

Quote:This happened to me back in October. I sent the petition and was awarded the late reward, but going by my original cycle, my reward is late again. Has this happened to anyone else? Am I on a new cycle? Do I need to petition this again each time I have a reward coming up?Definitely send a petition in-game. Mine was showing that I had 28 months of time.... when according to the date of my last reward, I should have already gotten my 30 month badge.
I sent a petition, and got a response in a day or two that it had to be escalated, then I was told that my rewards had been recalculated and I received my wayward vet badge. Total turnaround time? Four days. Not bad, considering the first petition was filed day after X-Mas. -

Quote:It won't actually show up as "booster pack" in the section that lists the codes you have already applied. It should be listed as "perk" followed by the date it was applied.Well, with this new information, i double-checked, and no, it was NOT applied- im even looking at my master/COH account thoroughly and i haven't even SEEN the words "booster pack" aside from when i first created the account and it asked me which one i wanted (which they ultimately didn't give me)
For some reason i couldn't ask a question on the support page either -
