Would you pay $19.99 a month to keep the game going ???
Yes. I would come back and pay 20 bucks a month.
I would pay 25 dollars a month, if have too.

I'll miss you all.
as a european player (actually not quiet european but that is where game put me in and cost me that way) I would pay 20 euro if it was to keep game up. I think I was rougly paying 100 dollar equivalent with market purchase monthly already.
However I would better spend that money as a support to one of buyers since after this I can't trust NCSoft to keep game up for another 3 month after getting our money (in other words another quarter)
Just a thought..............would you be willing to pay up to $19.99 per month to keep the game going ? ? ? I know I would. Let me know and maybe we can start a new petiton to show how many players would be willing to pay more to keep the game alive and maybe just maybe if NCsoft saw that they would reconsider with all that new cash coming in every month.

I mean.
Firstly you can notice that 99% of the people that say yes on this thread was on CoX before Freedom and secondly Freedom itself is the result of not enough subscribers.
Sure now more people had the chance to try the game and all but I don't think it would work out anyway.
At the end I agree with Golden Girl, it seems to me that money isn't the only and main reason, dunno
No joke, I would pay 50$ a month if that's what it took. I really, really would. This whole cancellation for me has been like watching a friend I've known for eight years suddenly suffer a terrible stroke. I would do whatever I could to aid in this game's recovery.
Stand UP.
FIGHT BACK!
I would
I was about to dump money into the market for PP so an extra $5 would be a no brainer.

Absolutely not as much as I love the game and community.
If they said "the game isn't doing well so we need to increase the subscription fees to keep it going" what do you think would happen? A bunch of pissed off fans leaving is what.
Some people would be happy to stay and pay the new price. But they would probably increase Paragon Market prices as well.
Somewhere in 1 of the tons of threads here someone had posted a link to the Aion forums where people were unhappy about CoH shutting down. At least 1 player for that game complained about cash shop prices doubling for that game. And I keep seeing posts in the CoH forums about how bad financially Aion is doing.
The prices for cash shop currency for Aion (their version of Paragon Points) are about equal to CoH. 1600 points for $20. OK seems to be an average rate for MMOs. No biggie.........http://na.aiononline.com/store/ncoin/ (scroll down to 'Available Denominations'. There's your prices)
http://store.aiononline.com/store/de...¤tPage=1
"Notice: This item can only be used once". They are asking 640 cash shop points for a 1 time use emoticon card? Are they out of their ever loving ******* minds?? That's what, around $6 or $7 just to use an emoticon once?
Just look around at their prices for Aion cash shop items http://store.aiononline.com/store/in...egoryPath=1_45
All but 4 of the mounts only last for either 15 or 30 days and it looks like all of them say that only characters of either level 30+ or level 50+ can purchase them. The 4 mounts that are permanent- 1 costs 1920 points, 2 cost 2400 points, and the last costs 3600 points ($50 in cash shop points for this one).
I understand your desperation for wanting the game to stay alive. But you are not considering the consequences of what you are asking. As a corporation they will probably take advantage of you, eventually if not sooner.
Currently it's "400 points for a costume set with over 30 pieces? A bit pricy but I'll take it".
Then after they decide to increase the VIP price "600 points for a costume set with 25 pieces? Well if it means the game will keep going I guess I'll buy".
Later on "800 points for a costume set with only 15 pieces? Well.....".
How much are you willing to actually *pay* to keep the game going? Especially for those of you with multiple accounts? After a while it would make taking your family to the movies seem like a better choice.
And game updates would probably be few and far in between as well.
I for one am NOT prepared to take a chance at paying a higher price for less product. FFS I get enough of that at the grocery store.
There were already at least a few players who complained along the lines of "Before the game went free to play we use to get new power sets for free. And they expect me to buy new power sets as well as a VIP sub?".
Edit: Posted wrong link.
Yes I would.. but not to line NCSoft's pockets in all honesty.. new studio, new producer yes.. NCSift has gotten enough of my money and basically kicked me out the door...
The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.

Sure. Not that I think this thread will save the game, but there's always hope. It really seems like no one from the company is reading the threads here at all.

And even if they did/were...I highly doubt they would make it public knowledge.
to the OP: I would easily pay $25 a month for CoH
I had 16 paid accts, all active until FTP came out, and still ended up keeping 4 of them with VIP status.... I would pay that and still keep all my accts going. no doubt about it.

The simple answer: Yes, I would've easily pay $19.99 a month per account to keep this game going.
The slightly longer answer: I've been paying for my main account every month since April 2004. Even when you add up that overall cost and compare it to the total amount of time I've actually played the game I imagine I've only spent like a quarter per hour at most. In terms of cost for entertainment paying $0.25 an hour is getting something for practically FREE as far as I'm concerned. In that light (and if it would've actually helped) I would have easily paid $50 a month and still gotten my money's worth.

Of course, in a heartbeat.
Storage companies, apartment complexes, cable companies raise their rates all the time, i'm shocked this never happened here.
Absolutely. I joined about 3 months after release, and I've been a constant subscriber ever since. In 2008 I added a second account (originally for my wife, but when she decided the game wasn't for her I kept it going).
Moving from $30 to $40 a month for both accounts is eminently doable. If that's what it takes, I'm in. Completely in. With bells on.
I'd be in with both my accounts.

Yes. I would actually be willing to scrap my other two MMO subs and put that into CoH.
I'll also say that I might have hesitated at $50/month a year ago, but the volume and quality of releases in the last year make this an easy decision.
And I hope I get the opportunity to put my money where my mouth...errr post is.

Wow -- I feel positively destitute just now.
(And to the OP, yes, I could still swing an extra $10 a month for my two accounts.)
