Quote:Well, they actually didn't murder anyone in the new series. Grandpa on the original Munsters was specifically said to be Count Dracula, so it was implied that he was not always a nice guy.I did not like the fact that they were eating people, yes I know they are monsters, but the oringinal Munsters weren't evil.
SPOILERS:
The scoutmaster fell down the steps, it was an accident. And the guy Grandpa had painting the house was revived. -
It actually wasn't bad. I think a "movie" at best, rather than a series though. I don't the premise as being sustainable.

You know they've done stuff like this before. For years in the 70's Clark Kent was the news anchor on "WGBS" instead of a reporter for a paper. Eventually a movie or TV series comes along and they stick him back at the paper. They always come back around to the original concepts and situations for these characters.

Quote:Remember that when Calderon is looking at her, he only sees Artemis. The charm at her neck only works on other people*. She's not wearing a disguise or a wig, she's using a magic charm. There was a pretty glaring continuity error in today's YJ. When Kal and Artemis are on the flyer, she has her blonde hair one scene and in the next it's back to being black. Kinda surprised something that big made it through.
*People other than Calderon, Nightwing and Wally. -
City of Heroes was unique in many respects, what I will miss most is the level of creativity and individuality you could express in the game, not just the costumes, which were incredible, the bases, the Mission Architect, all of it. There is nothing comparable to this system, and it's developers and players. It will leave an absence that cannot be adequately expressed.

Quote:Just a thought..............would you be willing to pay up to $19.99 per month to keep the game going ? ? ? I know I would. Let me know and maybe we can start a new petiton to show how many players would be willing to pay more to keep the game alive and maybe just maybe if NCsoft saw that they would reconsider with all that new cash coming in every month.

Quote:I'd love to make this a poll, but can't find how, so I'll just ask.
If all your characters were deleted, your veteran status, everything (even forum posts), and you had to start from scratch, would you still continue to play this game, or would it be too much of a setback?
If my other option is to lose City of Heroes forever? Yes, I would do it. -
Is there any artwork or backstory of the Avilians that can be released? Any of the planned, but dropped creations from way back? (Blood of the black earth, etc)
Any lore that wasn't implemented but was talked about in years past. -
Quote:This.
But I'd also like to add that NCSoft has done much worse in the past.
I used to play Tabula Rasa alongside City of Heroes, so I think I've got plenty of reason to be bitter with NCSoft. When TR died, I vowed that City of Heroes would be the only NCSoft game I'd ever touch again, because I thought it was old enough and big enough to survive this kind of crap.
I was wrong, and NCSoft won't be getting any more of my money, no matter how cool their latest titles turn out to be.
That was 2009, how was that lawsuit resolved? Anyone know? -
I hope we get one soon, this one is horrid!

Specific band-widths of electromagnetic radiation interfere with or nullify psionic
transmission band-widths, thus weakening or blocking the psi-powers effects.
Example: Iron Man used microwave transmissions to block the Titan Moondragon's telepathic assault in Avenger's #211.

Quote:I wouldn't bet on it.I assume there is a mechanism in place that prevents you from getting the same costume piece more than once?
And in case the people creating this stuff care, I won't be wasting any points or money on it, it's a rip off, and really lowers my opinion of the people behind the game.

I wait to do the Midnighter arc on most of my characters until they get the cape mission at least 20 in order to combine the Cure the Lost mission with the Lost encounters in the latter part of the Midnighter arc.
Sometimes I wait until 30 or more, and combine the cape/aura missions, so often the Hero 1 tomb and the other missions are all Rikti, but I have noticed that the Lost curing wand works on some Rikti, turning them to humans, only the Conscripts, and counts for the number of Lost cured as well.
It makes sense for the in-game story, but its a deeply embedded bit of trivia, I was just curious if it was widely known.
I just wondered if anyone had noticed this, as it isnt mentioned at all in the Paragon Wiki articles regarding Lost or Rikti lore, and many people I asked were also unaware of it. -
Wow~ Thanks for sharing!

Did it to me too on a character, CS still doesn't know what to do about it. He's just broken for some characters for unknown reasons. I purchased the token and sent to that character and it worked.

I just came to find out if anyone else was getting this error message. By reselecting each costume piece I was able to determine that the Imperial Defense Hat was causing the "character has an invalid costume" error, but I wondered why.

I would have liked to have known, at least. The "sand castle" analogy fails in that there isn't a person somewhere who decides when the ocean is coming in after many years of it not doing so.

The reason the whole "it didn't happen less it was said" worked before is because pre-1980 most comics weren't serials and took place in several different cannons thus if you said X happened or didn't happen it only meant that that particular book happened and had no implications for most other books
Evidently you weren't referring to either Marvel or DC, both had good continuity in the 70's and Marvel invented the idea in the 60's. -
I will add to that, before this season of Dr Who aired on BBC America, there was a teaser/documentary that had aired called "Dr. Who in America" that was showing behind the scenes filming of the episodes. I was highly annoyed that it gave away the big plot point of episode one and pissed that it showed a pivotal scene that I won't discuss in episode 2, ruining watching the show for me. I was expecting "behind the scenes" about the filming and the cast, not for them to air important scenes from the show out of context and story.
