Quick question -

How does one join the COH refugee channel in the game? Haven't quite figured out all the mechanics yet.

I've played now for 3 weeks, have made it to Blue Mountian, and have done the first three task for-- er, dungeons.

Its not City of Heroes, but its really pretty fun. I could have seen splitting my time between the two games, now obviously I dont have that option.

I've found the game to be fun. Its a different atmosphere than COX to be sure, but I do like the idea of running around casting spells and shooting zombies with a shotgun.


I'm on Arcadia server as ...<ahem> Marcus "Rikti" Cole.

So I should be easy to spot...

By the looks of this I was justified in giving PJ the benefit of the doubt. That looks great.

And Radigast/7th Doctor looks fantastic!

Already signed up to keep up to date. I will also point out there is far less conjecture and speculation over at Titan. Not that I don't understand that people need to vent, really I do. I went a week without turning my laptop on for gaming because I was so honked off. But at this point I want fact, not innuendo. So thank you for that, Tony.

I missed this one, and I'm one of those silver aged gamers with some disposable income and would be more than wiling to throw some money at you for whatever.

You have to remember, some people will vote no who had a bad experience with the game, (like that PVP advocate who posted a thread a week ago) and some people will vote no just to be troll negative. Its reflective of the great gene pool that is the interwebs. Our goal should be to rise above the static and make sure our noise is heard by the appropriate ears in a pleasant of matter as possible.

Remember the great quote from grand theft auto: "you get more hookers with franklins than with baseball bats."

Somehow get enough folks on board that it turns the right heads; and we need to convey that asap to said heads so that it makes an impact.

I know there's a lot of this going around, but I wanted to record my personal thanks to all that I played with while feeding my obsessive compulsive disorder.. I had a tremendous amount of fun earning badges, with the exception of one <cough, keyes, cough> trial.


If the game does crap out, I think I'm going to give Secret World A try, they have a COH refugee station set up in the forums, believe it or not.

So to all of you that I fought beside, it was a pleasure.

Freedom's Badge community is fairly active. one of the big badgers (Yat-Man) had a badge a palooza over the weekend , for the MOMAG badges and a couple of others. I was holding regular keyes/ player's choice incarnate trials until I24 beta came out.

I mean, you could always try another server and see how the water's test for you.

Blargh.

and I thought the invention badges were tedious.

I think Ill leave these alone. Sounds wayyyy too much like work.

I dunno. Im mixed about this.

On the one hand, any exploration of Dul Gurdur , the Necromancer, and the Council of Wise is going to be some awesome geek .

On the other, I don't know how well that really plays with the tone of the Hobbit, which is much more of a kids tale than the LOTR was. Are they gonna Grim and Gritty Bilbo? Will the the first movie be a whole half hour of back story with Throrr and such before we even get to bag end?

Anybody else still need news flash? I don' t mind running TPN again once. Its not a difficult trial, we just have to stay focused. And the rewards aren't bad.

I Still would like to run something "different " as well to give everybody a shot at stuff.

With the (relative) success of last week's badge run, I am again opening up the phone lines for input into what should be assaulted this week.

We will definitely run at least one Lambda grenade badge run, as we took Marauder down fairly easily (even though the badge wasn't awarded due to a grenade being accidentially thrown.)

Other than that, I'm open. There was talk about the ready to rumble and the (regular) hard way badge on Mag, but you tell me what should be run.

Heck, if you guys want/need any regular TF master of badges, we can try that too.

2 tpn runs one successful with a few peeps getting master Ods. We ran an acid nadexlambdaxrun next and complete but somebody threw an acid so no badge there. Always next week.

Ok, lets run the tpn first and then switch to lambda and do three runs of tnat

OK! That was pretty quick.

How about this :

Friday, 8:00 EST, We run a couple of quick Lambda Badge runs (acids, nades, blah blah) . Most of us are plus 4 and such and its very possible to get these two within 40 minutes (2 runs are required.)

Then, we run a TPN. Im sure the big badge thats missing is the 8 minute timed part, but we can go for whatever is neccesary.

Then next week we can try the Mag and MoM trials to keep this going.

Hell, we can throw in a BAF strong and pretty and keep em separated in there was well.
