Not Goodbye
Here's a question from one of my favorite events...
In the Praetorian Invasion, which Dev played which Signature character from the invasion?
I know I chased Anti-Matter around in PI on Freedom, and I actually gasped when I came face to face with Emperor Cole. And I remember everyone trying desperately to do damage to the invaders (We all had the mentality of 'To hell with the minions! Take out the head honchos' and everything will go away! LOL)
[Admin] Anti-Matter: I was in ur dimenshun, killin ur d00ds.
[Admin] Emperor Marcus Cole: Good job, Anti-Matter. Troll them.

Behind The Veiled Mask
Arc# 526759
I am not Tic-Toc. I do play on Justice and have play with Tic-Toc several times.
A couple of things now intrigue me.
- Ghost Widow (Developer) was, at one time, part of the QA crew (QA Lead?) and was seen on Training Room or Beta for several of the testing cycles.
- Very few people outside of Paragon Studios knew the person behind that Red Name's mask.
- Ghost Widow (Developer) has not been heard from in quite a while. In fact, I don't even recall there being an general announcement that Ghost Widow (with real name withheld) was leaving Paragon Studios.
Just a wild guess: Ghost Widow and TheNet are the same person?
I'm Tanking / Bruting so get familiar with my hand signals.
Nope...hmm lets build on the last hint.

This was great.
One of my favorite bugs/exploits was when people realized, "oh the ouro portal, you can stand on it. That makes it an object, and plaaaaaatform!"
Later that day, in Freedom, a bunch of us were skywalking with a burning platform of ouro portals going up into the sky. You guys fixed that one pretty fast as I recall.
The first friend I ever made in this game, would take turns with me tp'ing each other to the next door mish. We eventually turned to seeing the funniest places we could tp each other. We'd tp each other into high level mobs, off cliffs, etc.
That's when I realized if I was a super hero I'd use my powers mainly to goof off, with occasional uses of it to help scouts finish a bridge over a stream or whatever. Oh and stop criminals, yip.
Farewall all of you. It was fun playing and forum posting with this monkeyunch.

Well this is a shot in the dark, but you wouldn't happen to have a fondness for orchestrals, would you?

TheNet: do you like Gladiator movies?

Some time later there was the dropship raid in Steel Canyon, and while we were waiting for a Rikti assault we start building Ouro bridges between a couple of the skyscrapers in the Northern end. One of the best "bugs" ever.
Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...
TheNet, maybe you should tell them how you got your job at Paragon.

Probably not... but I'm gonna guess anyway....

Most rating-threatening bug: the "all my clothes disappear underwater" bug.
Most exploitive bug not involving item duping: the "mission complete, here's your reward; zone; mission complete, here's your reward; zone; mission complete, here's your reward" infinite loop bug.
The bug that made regen scrappers cry: Castle's Cur!=Abs bug for Widow VEATs, that made them recover 10% health eight times per second when Indominable Will was toggled on:
The bug no one ever told me was ever fixed: the "critter spawns invincible" bug that I showed to Castle, he saw in the logs, and never figured out how it happened.
The bug that sealed my domination over all things Defense: the "lucks and insights have been mislabeled since beta, and no one noticed" bug.
The most humorously juvenile typo, ever:
(Yeah, you'd probably fall down as well.)
The most W-T-F map bug ever:
The best captcha encountered on NCSoft's website:
The strangest NPC I ever had to escort out of a mission:

I love it! Thanks for sharing this anecdote.
One of my favorite things about this game was the bug in King's Row where citizens would congregate on a slanted door along the street, and a huge mass of them would lurch up and down the slope of the door. Now, there is perhaps my favorite history plaque ever located there explaining how citizens were mind controlled by a lost Rector. |
Arcana, I've had NPCs pushing shopping carts as I lead them out as well!
What about that one day when everything seemed to go haywire... It seemed like just about all the powers were connected to the wrong FX!
I may have to go search for the threads about that... It was so odd. I even made some image about it being the New secret expansion: City Of Heroes: Twilight Zone!!
Tentacles appearing if you sprinted or something... Very strange stuff. I think it was after a quick patch... and was quickly reverted, hehe.
What was that all about???
and round up everyone that knows more than they do"-Dylan
Wait... TheNet = UncleBob?? Say it ain't so.
Man. If only we could have seen the Crey Projectile Vomiting power in-game.
Blaster AT? Or Controller?
