Not Goodbye
FPARN.
Hey I got one goal that I wanted
And yes y'all did work hard. That is why the way they screwed y'all over peeves me the most.
That story is why all Q&A people should always have FRAPs running! And a YouTube account...

NEET NEET NEEET add me on facebook perrrty please with sugar on top?
I am deeply disappointed that that did not make it in game.
We'll always have Paragon.
I was hoping we could reproduce that for April Fools Day...How awesome would that be?

Warewolves walking around actually sounds kinda cool. NPC's puking replacing brawl as the new move [Party Foul]. lol
Cheers.
Not enough for zombie vomit, but cheers nonetheless.

Dear Net, you've always been a stand up guy and I really enjoyed meeting you at the Summit (gosh that seems so long ago) and driving you and Protean around :P
Thanks for being one of the highlights of Player Summits for me...you always had a great smile and your friendliness was infectious (in a good way of course!) even when those damn mai tais had thrown me for a loop and I idiotically introduced you to Mr. Wentworth as the wrong dev. I really hope that you'll continue to stay in touch!

At least here I can properly thank you for all the help you've given me on the beta server when I was running around like a hummingbird on crack trying to get a video done. From unlocking story content to giving me personalized tours of new zones, you (and Beastyle) were of tremendous help. *hugs*
Look me up if you're ever in Seattle - I'll buy you a drink or three.

And why is this where the story ends...because it is the most hilarious thing I ever saw. Crey Infiltrator's Brawl was turned into the puke emote. They would run in and then vomit. That is something that will stick with me for the rest of my life.

One of my favorite things about this game was the bug in King's Row where citizens would congregate on a slanted door along the street, and a huge mass of them would lurch up and down the slope of the door. Now, there is perhaps my favorite history plaque ever located there explaining how citizens were mind controlled by a lost Rector.
If only...how awesomely hilarious would that be.

About the only time I've seen you ingame was betas and maybe a costume contest here or there. If you ever remember just standing around on the beta server, minding your own business, when out of nowhere a cookie came flying at you... that was most likely me
Except this one time. Back when Night Ward was just put onto beta I mentioned to you that I really liked the floating lanterns, and you told me I should check out the Westerman building cause they go all the way up the giant tentacle. That was really unexpected to me, that someone in QA would be impressed with a pretty minor background decoration. Thanks for that... it told me that this game could even be impressive to someone who'd seen every inch of it a bajillion times. Thank you also for all the hard work you've put in bug-catching, trust me when I say we appreciated it!
In the meantime, I never did go check out that tentacle. It was late and I was tired and I went to bed instead. And I just didn't get around to going to Night Ward after (so many things to do!). So in your honor man, one of my characters will be at that giant tentacle for Lights Out. .....just not yet. I still have to finish the First Ward and Night Ward arcs first
Good luck with whatever you do next, man. And stay safe out there, hero!
I'm not ready to say good bye and so I am not. I will be around for the next 3 months until the lights go out, Red Name or not. That said I am so thankful to have met each and every one of you. Even if only indirectly because I have read your posts...so many posts. I worked in QA along with Fire Man and both of us being previously from the game I know we both worked hard for all of you.
Where the developers create things that you can see we are in the shadows making sure when you play with that content it doesn't explode into a fiery mess...unless that is what is intended. We never can catch every bug though.
There are so many things I wish I could tell you about like [redacted] and [redacted]. Those of course not even being the redacted things you might have heard of. I will tell you of one story which was still my most favorite thing I experienced working there.
Net vs the Sync Error:
December 23rd 2010: I started just the week before and I had just got into the swing of testing. We were testing something in Pocket D, probably Valentines, when I noticed Diviner Maros floating where DJ Zero normally is. You cant imagine how confused I was and with it almost being Christmas there were very few around to look into this. As I recognized who was floating there , thanks to my years of playing, I moved over to Sharkshead to see who was standing where Maros would be. I got there and there was a NPC I didnt recognize, turns out it was one of the player made NPCs used in Studio 55. As we began looking around more and more we noticed that this problem was spreading. Using powers called on different VFX. Some of the neat things were Warwolves walking around like citizens as they pushed around a wheelbarrow. Super Jump was using Blazing Aura. This ultimately lead me into RWZ just to see if NPC powers were changed too. And why is this where the story ends...because it is the most hilarious thing I ever saw. Crey Infiltrator's Brawl was turned into the puke emote. They would run in and then vomit. That is something that will stick with me for the rest of my life.
A little while back there was a thread about "Will you regret Gaming on your death bed" I can honestly say my only regret is that I couldnt play and work on this game until my death bed. I have always wanted to be a super hero and City of Heroes allowed me to pretend just for a bit I was.
I love you all but remember this isn't goodbye.
