  1. This is an amazing story so far. This whole endeavor brought a tear to my eye Arcana. Thanks.

  2. Audios, and much thanks for everything.
  3. I am sitting on perhaps 250 purple IOs, 100 Panacea IOs, and much much more that I may just dump on the market. This was a constantly replenishing stash that was used to supply my brother, my friend, and myself with fully powered alts.
  4. Many thanks for sharing this, and for Babs to come on back and clarify everything.
  5. That was an interesting read, and an illuminating parallel with the use of social media in the Arab Spring.
  6. Just a heads up, but your third link is accidentally playing an awesome Rick Astley video.

That stuff from i24 looks so epic!

  7. I am initially elated that the blue caves will die on November 30th. Particularly the layer cake room of frustration.

    ...

But then I think about how I got my first accomplishment badge while dragging a hostage in that mission environment, and later found out that it was required for this cool thing called an "accolade" that granted my character perks.

On second thought, I'll miss them dearly.

  8. I will have to think long and hard about numbers 2 through 5. But the number one thing I loved the most about this game was the SK/Malefactor system and when it eventually became a super-SK/MF system. Being able to play with anyone, any level, any time was the best thing about this game. This was important because my friends varied from power-gamers, to RPers, to a 73 year old family friend that had us "level" and "buff" his character up for him.

I love it! Thanks for sharing this anecdote.

One of my favorite things about this game was the bug in King's Row where citizens would congregate on a slanted door along the street, and a huge mass of them would lurch up and down the slope of the door. Now, there is perhaps my favorite history plaque ever located there explaining how citizens were mind controlled by a lost Rector.

    Thank you.

If this is what you love doing, PLEASE keep doing it Hit Streak!!! Don't let what happened to Paragon turn you away from something that you are passionate about. You all have made a game that changed people's lives and brought them together.

Edit-- and THANK YOU for everything.

Thank you too! Man, tonight I am getting all emotional. Logging in and reading all of the developers posts, and participating in the evolution of this game through the forums was a big part of what made the CoX universe so tangible for me.
  12. I will be heading over to Titan Network after these forums are shut down. See you all there!!

Zwillinger, I loved participating on these forums and reading about the game nearly as much as playing it. In fact, because I could peep on here during work hours or by using non-gaming devices, I probably spent more time on these forums than in game.

Hog angry. This MY world to destroy, not yours. HOG SMASH!

  14. City of Heroes was my home for 8 years because the world was so vibrant and palpable. Thank you for all you did with things like Striga all the way up to the most current releases War Witch!
  15. Thanks for sharing your personal story with all of us. I loved all the new content that you all were producing. Everything was top notch, from the writing, to the mission mechanics, to the design of the new zones.
  16. CoH was and is the BEST g-- da--ed hero game!! So angry about this theory I am gonna have to log off for a bit.

    AHHHHH!

    PS-

I love you Paragon Studios, COH, community. Gah!
  17. I am RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With a little bit of sadness mixed in.
  18. Tic-Toc, aka BABS-- you rocked. Thanks so much for your time here.
  19. On November 30th, Maldehyde, Warhog, SFpops, Merriwather, and the rest of the Machiavellians finally win. The world is theirs.

(Or at least that's how I am RPing it...)
  20. You may have not gotten me into this game back in issue 1, but you and everyone else will have kept me here unil the last day in November. Thank you SO SO much!

    To all of you...

I watched all of your coffee talks Zwill. Thanks for everything and being a PARAGON of community reps.

    To all of you...

Goodbye to you all. And thanks you all SO SO much, you were the best group of developwers possible and created a product that I never ONCE stopped purchasing for 8+ years. Not when I was unemployed, and not when my gaming rig died. You had me from day 1, and all of your great current work kept me here until the end (whenever that may be in November).

Best of luck to each and every one of you on your future endeavors. As someone who has been between jobs for quite sometime now, my heart truly goes out to all of you. Thanks again, and please land on your feet all of you.
  23. I wasn't here for Beta, but was here when the game dropped live from the shelf of my local gaming store. Thanks for creating the best and only MMO that has ever held my attention, and my heart.

I'll be here until November 30th, and logged in running content.
  24. Thanks to the team and community! I will try to take over the world until the lights go out. That's how great of a game and community this is.

So sad right now... Issue 24 had me extremely excited...
  25. I checked the calendar five times today hoping it was April 1st already...

So sad. I had the best concept ever for a Water/Martial Combat character too. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
