Is there a summary or can someone share the details of today's coffee talk?

Neuronia's post really captures the gist of what they talked about. The only detail was Matt talked about doing the rogue arc some like apparently it's possible to get through most of the missions through dialogue up until the end mission boss fights and the arc has a 1 time (non-repeatable) special reward at the end.

Listening to the feed now, I'll update with any special Q&A answers.

Edit:
The groups featured in the Grey arcs, Void Sanction and The Hammers of Justice, will each have their own chest emblems that will be free for everyone to use when the issue goes live.

The Skulls new skull mask will be featured in the Halloween pack this year.

Q: Will we ever see origin specific tips or 'Horror Themed' ones?
A: Possible. Can do origin themed. Comes down to breadth to depth. Could do origin specific stuff but it means people get 1/5 of the content.

Q: How different are the dev mission creator tools compared to AE's?
A: Waaaay different. Excel. Access to scripts.

Q: Contact #6?
A: Exe#6 and agent six are two different characters

Q: is the Council/5th Column War now swung back in favor of the Council?
A: Each have staked their own territory. 5th Columns territory will be shown in the future.

Q: How many levels will the King's Row arcs take?
A: About 3. Content goes up to 20 so they have a lot of wiggle room for players.

Q: Will praetorian missions ever be in Ouroboros?
A: Incredibly unwieldy due to phasing and contacts dying. Would have to reprogram how ouroboros worked.

Q: Any chance of the more robust dev tools being added to AE?
A: Big undertaking. Dr. Aeon has championed trying to get into AE some of the easier stuff

Q: Can we please look into trading Enhancement Catalysts, especially within the same account?
A: We can look into that especially accountbound

Q: why are 3 blueside areas 8-20 (skyway, steel, and now king's)
A: Some feedback from players is they want a variety of paths to go instead of a single path. King's Row is -part- of that. King's Row content is primarily updating the oldest content in the game. Like introducing story lines that don't finish up in a single issue. What you're seeing in each issue is a part of the whole.

Q: Will we be meeting any more of the Regulators later on?
A: A possibility. Several will be in retirement age.

Q: Any update on making anniversary badges accountwide?
A: Have to use an auth-bit to make that happen. When they first created authorization bits they didn't have an idea of what to use them for so they didn't leave much space for the amount of bits they'd have (relatively small. 256). Now they have like 2 left and each anniversary badge would be 1 bit. Not enough bits to do them without reprogramming how auth-bits worked.

Q: Do you want to go back and update any of the villain zones such as king's row and atlas?
A: Mercy got an update and St. Martial got an update this issue. More will be coming. Also keep in mind City of Villains was written after blueside, some lessons learned were applied to Redside. A lot of the content is more robust and not as in such desperate need (not that it's perfect and some does need revamping)

Q: Will the Phallanx, Regulators and other groups get makeovers before the Coming Storm arrives?
A: Coming Storm is starting in i25, not enough time to do makeovers for everyone. They were discussing a contest to makeover well known NPCs, it might be a reality someday.

Q: Specific reason King's Row arcs are VIP only?
A: Mistake in beta, they are -not-.

Q: Bugged veteran badges?
A: Loyalty reward badges in the current tree all work properly, the former badges do not work with the current account system. Not big on the list of priorities, several things much higher.

Q: Are we getting a statue of Statesman and what zone will it be in?
A: Ask again in a couple weeks. Ask again when I25 is announced.

Q: Is the contest for making a new Freedom Phallanx member still coming?
A: Some ideas for that, it's not dead in the water. But it is still in the early planning stages if that is going to happen, no promises.

Q: Bacon.
A: Bacon will kill you.

Q: Is Primal Earth's plan to evacuate Praetoria and leave it to the Hamidon?
A: They don't have much of a choice. Either that or close the portal and leave everyone there to die. The Hamidon is -extremely- powerful. They could throw the heroes at it but it's easier logistically to evacuate.

Q: Statues of Zwill's hats?
A: No.

Q: Wings with Tech Knight armor?
A: No. But there are wings with the backpacks.

Q: When will we see the Praetorian Hamidon?
A: Later.

Q: What's happening with PvP?
A: Designer came up to Posi with an idea for PvP that he hopes to implement.

Q: Some missions grant badges only to the mission holders?
A: Just talking about that. The reason is badges are usually given out at the end of a story arc, the end of your long invested time in doing the number of mission in it. Problem with awarding to everyone is you can do all the missions then hit the finale and add 7 people and they all get the badge. Hoping to fix that for Ouroboros so that everyone will get the badge.

Q: What are your favorite ATs to play?
A: Protean likes tanks and controllers, Posi like Dominators and Blasters. Zwill likes controllers, brutes, and scrappers.

Q: Would the server resources needed for single player housing outweigh the benefits of new cash flow for the market?
A: Yeah. Before going to Freedom they looked into how much maps took (AE maps, personal maps, instanced maps, etc) and they were shocked at the data they got back. That killed any idea of allowing personal player housing for the near future. People like the rest of the game to function well and players getting to spawn as many lil houses as they want would change that.

Q: More storage space for larger bases?
A: Can't talk about it.

Q: Favorite issue to work on?
A: Posi's was the Vanguard issue ( couldn't remember the number). Protean's is Going Rogue, crafting Praetoria into the Police State.

Q: What are the working relationship between Babs, Marauder, and Blue steel?
A: Future Content.

Q: BABs from Atlas to King's Row?
A: No, personal story arc has something that happens to Babs that would make that difficult.

Q: How are the people on the secret project doing?
A: Doing secretly awesome.

Q: How do you like your G600?
A: Growing on Zwill.

Q: What happened to all the buses in Paragon?
A: Primary targets for the Rikti so they stopped using them. Too much money to tear down all the stops and since they're indestructible they make good places to hide during Rikti invasions and advertisers still pay money for the ad space.

Q: Any chance of children or dog/cat NPCs being added?
A: Talked about adding dog and lion npcs. In the first test run they added, someone clicked a dog and it gave them the time like a standard NPC. (And we do have Coyote in Night Ward hanging around. Ki yi yi!)

Q: What zone does Positron want to update?
A: Given the choice, Perez Park. (NOT A PROMISE FOR WORK). There are plans. (Blow it up).

Q: Would a talking dog be so weird?
A: One? No. All of them? yes.

Q: If the skulls are eastern european, what are the hellions?
A: Skulls have the Petrovich brothers as leaders so they have a pref for folks from the motherland. Hellions are americanized gangbangers (Another reason for conflict between the two).

Q: Does Protean do Taskforces?
A: He's done Sutter and Mortimer Kal and worked on preliminary work on the Positron Taskforce.

Q: What was the original idea behind personal story arcs?
A: To tell parts of the story without having to involve your character. Giving a perspective how the other side is thinking. Good for fleshing out the story.

We've had costume parts that change their behavior/appearance based on whether a specific power is active for years now (wings, rocket/winged/piston boots, jetpacks), and auras that only turn on when the character is in a combat stance for a while too. The Vanguard shield has "on" and "off" graphics -- and it even has an animation to transition between the two. I don't see any reason a scabbard couldn't work like the Vanguard shield.

I think it's more of a "this would be a LOT of work and we're very busy creating other awesome things" situation than a "we don't have the tech to pull it off at all" one.
Just a note to add to this: Maelstrom already has holstered guns that he actually draws for his attacks. I keep hoping they'd do the same at least for the other signature characters with weapons.

The Tech Knight quiver was shown in a screenshot...there's that, and the

Golf Bag

/e vomitface

and those're the only two. The TK one looks pretty sweet, and will prob work for any costume set.

Hrm... no new normal quiver. I have no problem with the golf bag (not my kind of thing, but whatever), but it's not really a quiver. And if the only other one right now is going to be the Tier 9 one... Well, I'll just wait and see.
Thanks!

So do Malta Gunslingers, so it's not exactly new tech, it's just a matter of attaching it to player-generated models, which I'm sure is quite non-trivial.

Yeah they said we won't be getting a normal quiver for non-T9 VIPs this issue.

Oh and I added the Q&A to my post up above.

Well, at least I can chalk it up to that account-wide bit limitation why badges, or at least accolades, or at the very least stuff-in-general-that-you-have-no-reason-to-do-over-again-on-every-character-to-access are per character and not global.

You missed the bit where Positron said that the zone he'd most like to do something with is Perez Park, and then Protean said that they'd actually made a few plans for it.

Good point, Doc. I pondered that exact thing after I posted my previous message, and I think your final thought is exactly right.

It sounds like something they are going to have to face sooner or later, though. So while not immediate, here is to hoping.

They mentioned that there are new free for everyone chest emblems for the Hammers of Justice and Void Sanction (Rogue and Vigilante arcs). I'm hoping that we can get the non-Void Sanction Hero Corps emblem for our characters some day. Been wishing for that one ever since the first emblems became available way back with the Vet Rewards.
