New Loading Screen for I24
The same with Marchand... it was Cole calling the shots for an invasion. Cole, who, by they way, most believed was necessary to stave off being subsumed by the Hamidon. And when it was clear that Cole wasn't acting in the best interest of the Praetorians, he switched sides. Marchand didn't order attacks on civilian populations. You don't try an opposing General for doing what Generals do... that's not war crimes. It was Cole that crossed over the bounds into war crimes and crimes against humanity. |

Och rosor i ett sprucket krus

THAT I want. Want want want want want.
In fact, I will go on record right now threatening to never make another video again for COH if I don't get that as my loading screen. Michelle aka Samuraiko/Dark_Respite |
I thought there was a program you could download from the NeoSplasher website, which is what I did awhile back when I changed mine, but now I'm not seeing it on a quick glance...not sure why.
And I like this much, much better than the current one, but possibly not enough to change back. Smiley Marauder is pretty hilariously adorable though.
Edit: Oh, you have to upload an image to get to the page with the download link, that's kinda silly. This is the link for the program (Windows only, and clicking on it will attempt to download the exe, so be warned): http://webapps.sgspaces.net/cohstuff/click.php?id=5
I'm just a holy fool, oh baby it's so cruel

Ugly. Let me know when I25 goes to beta, maybe that one'll be better.

Don't you know?
You always raise your fist in anger to punch someone you want to make out with... especially when you are a dude and the target is a robot from another dimension. *le sigh* |
I don't know, maybe that's just me. But consider what people's head do right before they kiss, at least in the big "fireworks and applause" end of a romantic comedy.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

That comes off as incredibly corny lol..
And ya, something is wrong with Marauder's smile.. I would have put a more serious smirk on him, not a goofy ****-eating grin.
Although I can see where you are coming from, angles can do a lot of funny things with the perspective.
For me, I for one see the robots body in line with its head, which means that it is *all* tilted... and therefore, at least in my mind... not romantic in the slightest.
I'm not saying it's a bad screen, It's actually really good.
But i don't like it D:

I'd like to see the current Issue number and title added to the screen to help with the comic book theme.

I want my Penny back! She was cute.. Marauder Grinning like a goof is creepy.. He is all like " Hehe chumps I broke out of jail..again..."
whose that guy in the sky with the hat? Charles deGaul? |

@Thexder
It's not the position of their hands, it's the position of their faces that does it for me. While he may be scowling, you can see the Statesman look longingly into the robot's cold eyes, while it's expressionless face appears to be lost in the hero's gaze.

Meh....new screen looks like photoshopped in-game assets akwardly posed for a screenshot.
I miss David.
Maybe that's why they look so baggy in the front.

They didn't kick the Crusaders to the curb and instead used their villainy to continue the fight against Tyrant making the Wardens complicit with the Crusaders and thus just as guilty for their actions.
And nevermind Cleo trying to assassinate you.

The membership requirements are also extremely vague - for example, while Tunnel Rat is presented as a Resistance agent, people like Jessica and Robert Flores are presented as sympathizers with the general movement to bring down the dictatorship.

Ogi, don't even try painting the Resistance as anything less than unambiguously heroic. Not with GG. She's picked the side that, in her mind, lets her avatar be purely good and righteous and not get so much as a smudge of Praetoria's muck on her. Guilt-by-association only applies to the other side.
(Personally, I have another solution for characters I don't want tarnished by such storylines - I don't play that content with them.)

Sounds like rather inconsistent justice to me, the Resistance's war crimes are against the same civilians as Tyrant's and should be prosecuted as such.

Well, it's better than the Penny's twisted spine and manbearpig, but I am a little saddened that it isn't an ink and painting. It looks more like the NPCs were posed together to make a screenshot, and someone used some illustrator on it.

Tyrant is on trial for crimes agaisnt humanity because he killed large numbers of people "for the greater good" - Marauder also killed large numbers of people "for the greater good", but he's fast-tracked into a new SG - and both of them have a higher body count than Domi, who helped Primal Earth during the war, while Tyrant and his faithful attack dog fought to the end for their "utopia"
Both have to decide who is worthy of holding accountable and pursuing to impose penalties in wartime and afterwards.
And they ain't got nothing on Marauder unless there are Praetorians willing to testify about what happened in the wilderness. And even then, it's up to Praetorians to try him, not Primals for what he did. Marauder traded in drugs to keep his war buddies alive (but also abused them as street thugs to justify a hard line police state). But it's up to Praetorians to try him for that. Marauder tried to hold a fortress against an invading army. No war crimes there. It's true that Marauder has no moral core, but there's nothing for a Primal DA or a General to pursue. And if he can be an asset on another war front... you use him.
The same with Marchand... it was Cole calling the shots for an invasion. Cole, who, by they way, most believed was necessary to stave off being subsumed by the Hamidon. Now, it's true that for the same reasons Dominatrix should also be cut loose. She didn't lead any attacks against Primals. And any crimes she committed as a Praetor should be tried by Praetorians. And she helped take out Diabolique (though poorly); and she abandoned Cole (though to switch to the winning side). We know as players she is completely amoral, even sociopathic. But any Primal General or DA wouldn't. If I were a General, I'd put her past a Grand Jury not so much as thinking I'd get an guilty verdict, but to let her know that Primals do not countenance what the Praetors did in Praetoria, and none of that will fly here.
