You really didn't *have* to stare.

~~~
I like this loading scene better than last. Even more I like them changing around rapidly.
I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.
Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.
So sad to be ending ):
Thanks, I will never be able to look at that picture again.
I still like the part where they blew up the Magisterium's council chamber, killing the Loyalist Magistrates (Resistance sympathizers that Calvin Scott decided he didn't want anymore), and almost blew up Cole Memorial Hospital.
Great guys, those Resistance.
Yeah. Like looking at an accident. You want to look away, but just cannot.
Anyways, I am interested in the resistance/loyalist conversation going on and guilt by association. During violent times every side has someone in their ranks who commits atrocities that are not in the spirit of the movement. It is how the organization deals with the offender that shows their true colors.
On Justice? There may/may not be justice in Paragon. In most countries Justice is a label slapped on the legal system like when fast food franchises try to say that some of their stuff is healthy.
I'll just quote one of my posts about this.
My Test Server Login screen:
I leave my Beta Server login screen at default so I can see what people are talking about.
The art in my Test Server login screen came from David (Noble Savage) Nakayama's CoH: Freedom gallery on his pixel-saurus Deviant Art page.
My Live login screen is the picture from the Going Rogue Razer Sphex mouse mat.
Honestly, I've had no problems with the loading screens, but I like being able to choose my own. Being able to start at an image of Desdemona that I like or some of David's art, well, that's a good thing in my book.
I'd make a login screen from my Nakayama marker sketch of TJ (the one in my avatar) but I don't like that much white on the load screen.
I'd love to commission David to do some custom screens for me of my characters, but there is no way I could afford to pay him what he's worth.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
It's not lost. It's posted on David Nakayama's pixel-saurus page at DeviantArt in his City of Heroes Freedom gallery. Along with several other nice pieces of art.
One thing that's always bugged me about the States vs. ACU image, in all its variations - why are we showing the Superman of the setting going up against a lieutenant-level robot on anything like equal terms? Put him against his opposite number, or one of the other Praetors, but he should be able to knock down IDF 'bots like bowling pins.
A Statesman v. Tyrant splasher?! Are you crazy?! Do you know what sort of slashpocalypse Golden Girl would make of that?!!
I always thought it was a special ACU or something *shrug* Especially when it was at the top of the forums, I kept thinking "Man, for it to be up there, it has to be named and be like..powerful or something"
I guess not.
But yeah, I can see that. Or at least show up taking on like...10 or something.
You're assuming the fight will last more than the half-second it takes Statesman to punch the ACU's head off its shoulders. I always viewed it as a close-up of him about to attack one particular ACU in a group of many.
Awww, no more MBP, whatever will Al Gore do?
Yeah, "Pow! A screen full of Ken-doll Statsie's crotch was irritating."
But the Marauder / Pendragon issue cover has me thinking of a parallel thought: "Hello, we're from the government, we're here to help..."
Tyrant is on trial for crimes agaisnt humanity because he killed large numbers of people "for the greater good" - Marauder also killed large numbers of people "for the greater good", but he's fast-tracked into a new SG - and both of them have a higher body count than Domi, who helped Primal Earth during the war, while Tyrant and his faithful attack dog fought to the end for their "utopia"
Marauder and Marchand also bring nothing new to the table as a possible motivation for the authorities not putting them on trial - for example, a theme in I24 is Primal groups wanting to get hold of advanced Praetorian tech, especially the Praetorian Clockwork, so if the "reformed" Praetorians were Neuron and/or Anti-matter, then it'd be easy to see how the authorities would be preapred to let things slide if those 2 agreed to co-operate with salvaging and repurposing their creations.
You mean the Dev's actually read history books and are doing like the Communists and Allies did to the german scientists and war material after WW2. Pray they haven't read Milton, Kafka, or Nietzsche, nevermind, looks like they did with Nemesis, Center, ect. Hey Dev's, MOAR Aliens, MOAR Lovecraftian, MOAR Alternaelsewhatifworlds... And Tentacles, please... Remember Vote Cthulhu / Hastur 2012!
