Ahh, not a groundbreaking week- but I might get time manipulation while it's on sale.
Edit: Or, I would buy it for when my VIP account expires. If I could.

Still hate the visit Winscott mission- make it dropable, have it give actual exp or remove it altogether. PS- Down knows who you are.

I was hoping we'd get nature affinity, since we had the intrepid informer last week. Ah well.

I missed Halloween last year by one month! Is the Halloween costume pack sold every year? Are the fish bits part of it ?

Posted

The recent Intrepid Informer really made me think that Nature Affinity was dropping this week. Oh well - hopefully next week?

So, what was the point of the article about Nature Affinity if we're not getting Nature Affinity?

The fish parts were indeed a part of the Halloween pack last year. I believe a recent coffee talk (sorry, don't have the link) indicated that the old pack would be going back on sale this year alongside some new Halloween content.

Just put Bio Armor on the market already!!!

@Rylas

Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.

It's too soon to know if the Halloween costume pack will be sold every year. We've only had the one year. But I would guess... probably? And yes, the fish bits are definitely part of the Halloween costume pack from 2011. Didn't Positron say there would be a new Halloween pack in 2012?

Well we'll get it, obviously, just not immediately. I'm not seeing much of a difference personally, between doing the article a day or two in advance of it, and a week or two in advance of it. *Shrugs*

Hmm, the sale on the IO and auction house peeks my interest (if only for my 2nd acct)....

There was, to my memory, no release date in the article. So I'm guessing the point of the article was to inform people about the specifics of the set. Maybe build a little interest. Get people thinking about whether they'd like to have it when it comes out. You know, like a press release does.

Think about it, we're gettining "Man of Steel" trailers, and that movie won't be out until next summer.

People have asked for a week's advance notice of any power sets going on sale, and they were told they'd get it. Last time, they used the Intrepid Informer article as the one week notice. Thus, many people thought that's what was happening this time, too.

There's more I want to say here, but it'll come out sounding bad, so I'll just leave it with a "Be consistent, please." for PS and leave it at that.

So much for new actual shark costume pieces, instead we get repeats that will be back in 2 months anyway.

Might as well not have even bothered with Mako Week. The players arent always right, devs.

I come to these feedback threads every week to point out that Paragon can't release something both awesome and brand new every single week, and that it's better they not release anything new at all than release something rushed, broken or otherwise not ready for prime time. I stand by that.

On the other hand, I come to these feedback threads every week to point that out. It's starting to skew too far in the other direction for me. New super packs, Cybertech costume set... something, guys. I suppose it's forgivable to focus on the fish-pieces this week (honestly, I was surprised those didn't make their return last week) what with the pseudo-event, but it's starting to wear thin, even for me.

I care about costume change powers about as much as I care about vanity pets. Which is to say, not even a little. And these barely count as something new -- they just replace my character model with something already in-game.

Nobody ever promised us Nature Affinity this week. there was no release date in the Intrepid Informer article. The past few articles have all indicated their subject's release a week later, but they all also spelled that out explicitly in the article. This one didn't, so I'm not too surprised not to see it this week. I'll start getting excited once we get the "it's coming on this specific date" notice -- I won't be at all surprised if that comes later today, though. It's been unheard-of recently for an II article to precede its subject by more than two weeks, even when it didn't include a date.

I'd grab Time Manipulation today while it's on sale "just in case," but, oh look, my name is orange. Guess I can't.

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

GET TIME MANIPULATION !!!!!

That is all

I'm just as happy with the "slow" market weeks cause it means I get to save my points for big stuff down the road.

Having said that... the hype for Nature Affinity on FB posted just yesterday sure made it seem like it was launching today.

IDF Ranger? As in the minion? At least the Olympian Guard has a semi unique body type, but as far as I can tell, the IDF Rangers do not and we have access to all of their costume pieces (I suppose you can't get their colors perfect, but still).

Actually you can replicate both costumes perfectly with costume parts that are free to VIPs.
