Why do you tease us?!

If it finally contains the actual Praetorian PPD gloves (rather than the cheap imitation version we got with Going Rogue), I'd be all over that.

Or go with AT pairings:
Defenders and Corruptors
Blasters and Stalkers
Scrappers and Brutes
Tankers and Masterminds
Controllers and Dominators

Indeed. Now there was a piece of work. (i can't even recall what his name was, but i'm somewhat sure it wasn't anything as accurate as Cranial-Rectal-Inversion Man.)

Dr. Todt's theme.

True... but there's also NCsoft's other brand to think about, ie. Guild Wars 2. It's become clear from brand launches in years past that NCsoft likes to slow down development on "old" games so they don't become a competitive distraction for the shiny new game coming to market. I remember CoH having a particular dry spell around the time Aion launched so I'm not at all surprised its happening again.

If my theory's correct, it means you guys won't start openly beta-testing for I24 until *after* Guild Wars 2 officially launches at the end of August. Which puts I24's "go live" date in early November (following October's Halloween event). Oh I'm sure you'll let loose some new powersets and costumes just in time for the start of 4th Quarter (unless 3rd quarter metrics aren't up to snuff in which case, one highly anticipated Market asset will be released prematurely to help bump the numbers). In the meanwhile, you'll tease us with juicy tidbits of information here and there regarding upcoming releases - sorta like dangling the carrot in front of the horse. But beyond that, it's gonna be relatively status quo for CoH (which means we're in for one helluva long marathon run until Black Pebble gets the green light to promote something "new"). I like your new hat btw - much nicer than the same old spin we got in years past.

Oh, and should you try to whip out your krinkly little Obi-Wan Kenobi on me...

I really should do something about this signature.

Given the rate of Synapse's involvement with the Beta testing of these sets I strongly suspect that Bio Armor will be released prior to Nature Affinity.

I would prefer to wait for bio armour until after they have bio-armour styled weapon skins.

I would prefer to wait for Bio Armor until after they have power FX that don't look like I fell in a cart full of cow manure.

...and yes, I know you can do "minimal FX" but still.

But still? Why but still?

Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.

Our release schedule was determined far before GW2 announced their launch date .

Your theory, while certainly interesting, is pretty inaccurate.

Positron: "There are no bugs [in City of Heroes], just varying degrees of features."

Bio Armor looks great.

There, I cited just as much evidence as you did.

Also, the "but still" is for this:

Yes, I can turn off the effects of the "drunkenly fell into a pile of poo." That's all well and good, because the other powers in the set still show up and are color tintable.

I can also leave the poo coat on, and change its colors. Which I did, in the costume creator on Beta, for the better part of an hour. Still looks like poo. Poo from gorging on Fruit Loops for three days.

If people are awesomely fine with the Guyver/Prototype thing, that's cool and I hope you'll enjoy it. I just don't like the FX on those two particular powers, just like the original Granite Armor looked like poo. Poo is bad. I'll just go minimal FX on it, I just wish I DIDN'T HAVE TO.

Didn't read the thread, but it is very unfortunate that Nature/Bio will come out after DoubleXP Weekend.

I think Bio Armor is one of the coolest looking sets ever, and has about as much in common with poo as Super Strength.

Sorry to slightly derail this thread, but actually we are being teased more by I24 and the lack of an overview page and the knowledge that a LOT of awesome stuff will come with the Issue.

I will repeat what I said when the first leaks started, something that continues to be proven.

This is the best issue since issue 1.

With the possible exception of whatever issue City of Villains came out in.

There's the Organic Armor Sword from the old Mutant pack, and a couple beam rifle weapons are sorta Biological-looking. but yeah, some other sets don't really have much for that.

Titan Weapons has the Demon Axe.

So that leaves Axe, Mace, most of the gun sets, and Staff.

Personally I'm gonna be pairing it with SS or StJ.

If that's what your digestive system does after being subjected to Fruit Loops for three straight days, I would recommend never attempting to see what it does after five.
