Discussion: Rikti Invasion: Coming!

well to all that complain about the upcoming invasion,I expect a full and humble "I was wrong and I am sorry" if the DEVS have upgraded the invasion .

yes this could be a same invasion that we have had for years, or they could be using this to last minute test stuff for shark week. It would look pretty bad if a much hyped event had a few major flaws. After all the blockbuster that is ending had 1 or two to start(but were fixed quickly). but with that they had a whole month for the event.

It might be a good time to take a vacation... (grumbles about reenacting the stupid invasion events happening again)

...as for why they announce it, think about it this way, they chose to look like that, first to look like the lost, then the rikti, they are obviously stupid. There are plenty of ways to get power w/o making yourself into something that hideous, and worse yet, joining a group where everyone looks like that, no beauty left in the species. Looks might not be everything, or even the most important thing, but it IS a thing.
So they are like Cartman thinking the South can win the reenactment.

I know that the Rikti always want a piece and I am happy to serve them a slice of fresh alien woopin, but what about rularuu? I remember running my security level 20-something behind off when the eye-balls of doom dropped in. Considering that Darin Wade just got the Ravager closer to freedom than normally allowed, I am surprised by the absence of watchers outside my window. So please send a letter to the Shadow Shard for me:

I'll just do what I did last invasion: beat up Rikti and the Ghost of Scrapyard at the same time. At least that way, they'll both have a chance.

In case anyone cares, on the Pinnacle server, if a Zwillikti invasion happens on Friday night between 8p and 10p, or on Sunday evening from mid-afternoon or so...

Brawling Humiliator will be there to tank the GMs that Zwillikti spawns. Wherever it is. And also brawl them to their ultimate end. Just like the Zwillmesis invasion in AP that time. w00t.

I gotta ask, what is the purpose of the War Walls?

I know they're supposed to keep out the rikti, or keep them in, or something. But they obviously don't work. They don't go high enough to stop space ships, and the rikti appear to be able to turn them off at will. So they're just obtrusive.

I liked it more when this event was a week long. Since im typically busy on most of the weekend I don't usually catch these very often.

Well as of 922 am est, the devs have failed to delivery the invasion event.

Hey guys, you forgot to turn the invasion on.

I ran across a theory once that the longer you live, the less amount of time each day is to your overall life. A week in the life of a 7 year old passes sooo slowly because each day is more a percentage of their age (7 days out of a little over 2550 days) than say a 35 year old's (7 days out of over 12700).

Which means that a day passes really quickly for beings as old as Rikti.

Which means the Rikti, like me, had to stop and look at the calendar to remember "Hey, today's Friday. Where did this week go?"

Scratch that. They turned them on an hour later.
