So what is left to fix?

eh, we do know that everything isn't going to be fixed...just a lot of things and people taking the comment out of context when they know that literally fixing everything is nigh impossible.

but all the changes coming are nice =)

I've run the summer event by queuing up a lot and, particularly with my corrupter, it highlights the problems.

We're going to fight a number of AVs in order, often accompanied with bosses (and the badge design usually means "don't hurt the bosses while you work on the AV"). When there's no aggro control, no one able to soak up some damage and try to keep the bad guys from attacking everyone else, there's a lot of death. Team makeup for the summer event has made a world of difference in the times I've run it, in terms of survivability, getting the crowd favor necessary to get the final boss, and so forth.

If you're picking 16 or 24 incarnate level characters, it's not so bad because there's enough you're likely to get some of everything, plus at 50+ you have options to compensate for weaknesses. 8 players at level 2 also usually works all right, at that level everyone is so weak that the AT differences don't show so much.

Oh... OK, that explains why my recent meetings with low-level Praetorian Clockwork haven't ripped apart my SR characters nearly as much as I remember them. I was utterly dreading fighting these guys, but when I actually did it... It wasn't all that bad. At the time, I figured I just remembered wrong, but it's good to hear they've been brought back to line. Fighting them is actually enjoyable now

Allow wings with the bolero, trench coats and other cape-rig costume pieces again.

BTW - VERY happy they finally fixed the blinking-forever bug on the team buff icons.

Well here's my short/off the top of my head list.

Mercenary MM's need buffs.
MM IO procks when the ATIO2's come out theirs going to be 7 IO's that MM "need" to have for their pets can we put these in brawl or supremacy please?
MM Primary attacks need Fixing. I'd like more damage and less end cost.
/Traps time bomb and Detonator fix.
Crab Spiders need DDR.
Beam Rifle feels a bit on the slow side.
Targeted AOE sets With +def to Ranged, AOE, Melee
More (robotic) options for Monstrous feet.
More costume options for Crab Spider backpacks (Like the IDF heavy troopers)
Mayhem missions added to Oro
Option to disable the stealth effects at least so I can see myself at all times.

Tons of other stuff I can't think of right now.

Captain Den'Rath 53* Merk/Traps MM, Rivona 50Energy Blast/Time Cor,Victoria Von Heilwig 53* Dual Pistols/Traps Cor, Crab Spider Webguard 53* SOA, Accela 53* Bot/FF MM,Valkyrie's Executor 53* Broadsword/Shield Def Scrap. On FREEDOM! @Knight Of Bronze

I joined the game last September, as a VIP just as Freedom was about to go live for non-VIPs, so I never saw Praetoria in the "before" state. But my experience with Praetoria's "difficulty" had nothing to do with how hard the enemies hit me, or that they had better defenses than Primal enemies.

The problem was the non-stop knockback attacks. While the Destroyers and Ghouls were the worst offenders, most of the other enemies also seem to be overstocked with KB attacks that they spam as if those are the only attacks in their repertoires. My character can neither attack nor defend him/herself when he/she is constantly falling down and standing back up. And most melee secondary PSs that offer a power with KB resistance don't make that power available until you're nearly finished with Praetoria anyway*, and of course most ranged ATs don't even have that.

I rolled a number of Praetorian characters initially, but by the time I finally got one of them to level 20 and out of there, I couldn't bring myself to progress any of the others. And that's entirely because of all the KB. I really like the Praetorian writing and would love to explore it more deeply with other characters, but I just don't want to deal with the frustration again.

*Actually, I guess this is similar to the way in Primal Earth, you get your "resist Toxic" power right about the same time you outlevel the Vahzilok...

I would settle for the game deciding on whether it's "superadyne" or "superadine" Okay, yeah, there are plenty of others, but that one always sticks out to me, especially since it's not just one instance of the word being misspelled with an "i" - it pops up all over. Also I just ran across a place where Luminary is referred to as "he".

Has anyone mentioned "simplify enhancements yet?"

1. Get rid of "combining"

2. Get rid of TOs and DOs.

3. Make enhancements work for a a larger range of levels. Don't have them "go red." Just slowly degrade their bonus instead.

4. Rename everything so that the names make sense.

5. Lose origins.

Hi everyone,

I think this is a good discussion, and it has a lot of potential. However, please avoid detracting from that potential by posting things like "signed", which only serve to lengthen the thread without improving content.

Thank you,

what is the approved method of indicating agreement with what has been posted?

I believe that indicating that something is not merely one person's opinion but is shared by other posters is, in fact, valuable information that furthers the discussion.

I would hate to think that disagreeing is allowed and considered good but agreeing is considered a problem.

No. BAD! BAAAAD!

They'd either have to RIDICULOUSLY expand store inventories and move to enhancements for every single level (rather than every 5), or players would have to deal with certain levels sucking royally because you can't plus up enhancements to keep bonuses at a consistent level.

2. Get rid of TOs and DOs.
While the munchkin in me would go "SOs at level 1? SOLD!", a more realistic outlook recognizes the need to gradually ramp up power for players.

That's what they're essentially doing anyhow. I'd prefer to keep the system as it is now, rather than have to dink with "well, my enhancments are 7 levels old and are providing me with DO-level enhancement now".

No. There are too many systems that extend the origins system. You'd have to rewrite a significant chunk of the game.

Let's see.

Rewrite so everyone's origin and origin powers (which nobody above the teens use) all are bland and homogeneous.

OR

Use the time and resources to give us more NEW stuff.

I shall evince preference for the latter.

you do get SO's at level 1 - just do DfB. Since the devs give out SO's in the most popular content for low level characters, it seems that extending that to all low level content would not be a problem.

and lose origins I assume means for enhancements. Just have SO's that work for everyone. Don't make you sell them in particular stores. It is just a bit of extra pain that adds very little.

I would not want origins to go away for other stuff.

Couple of others to add...

* Fix the male-voice taunt on female shield characters. Taunt with shield up - male, taunt with shield down - female... it's been broken for a long time.

* Fix the problem with Kahn's TF so Rogues don't get kicked from the team for going into a co-op zone. This may be a problem in other TF's but I have no experience with those. This used to work fine but hasn't since before Freedom was released.

I'll probably think of more later.

Agree by adding something to the discussion that dovetails with what you're agreeing with, rather than just repeating it. At least explain why you agree. Same goes with disagreeing. If you can't explain why you feel the way you do to the Devs, nothing will change. If you're not adding something new to the discussion, you're just padding your post count, or burying the relevant discussion under an avalanche of +1's or /jrangers.

One of my dream fixes is the NPC dialog within missions. Many missions, when you walk into the door, give you an explosion of everyone's dialog all at once, rather than being triggered as you encounter the particular mobs. Other missions have an abundance of statement/responses that are given in the wrong order. I don't like walking into a mission where the person I'm trying to rescue says something like "Hero! It's you! Help Me!" when I'm three floors and several walls away from even seeing them.

Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Luminary

Original Luminary is a guy named Kit.

The current robotic Luminary was a wedding gift modeled after Kit's wife for figure.

If you are referring to the Bright Star badge, that should be a "he".

"Me too" generally doesn't add much to the discourse. "Me too because..." is another matter.

Anti-Matter has the worst luck with women. He can't score Dominatrix on his own, so he builds a robot variant of her (Nightstar)... who promptly shacks up with Siege. Even Battle Maiden is hanging out by Neuron's Tower instead of over by the reactors...

Then again, he's missing the chance for some MAJOR snark against Neuron...

This is the #1 reason why I haven't finished making another MA arc yet. I can understand to a small degree why the Devs are touchy on mission designers using some names and terms, but how about considering tagging sensitive names and terms so that their use would trigger a flag, prompting a Dev or GM to look at the mission and use his/her best judgement to decide if said use really deserved to be blocked?

Absolutely! For me, part of the fun of doing TFs and SFs is trying to make it work with whatever sort of team you have. That spurs creativity and cooperation, as well as furthering everyone's knowledge of powers and how they work together. If every TF/SF were run the same way with the same team makeup, then we'd be left with 30 DFBs. (That's a guess on the actual number of TFs and SFs. I expect someone does know the exact number off the top of her/his head, though.)

This. I'm really amazed that no one from Paragon Studios has really grasped the value of the free advertising that /demorecord could produce. Heck, it already produces a significant amount; Samuraiko's videos are as good as any commercial I could imagine for CoH. Making it easier to produce quality videos for the rest of us could result in many people getting a taste of the CoX universe who otherwise would never have noticed.

Well if we're throwing requests out there:

A Base rent payment via the SG interface would be swell;
An inspiration vendor in Perez Park at the hospital would be keen;
Team-up teleporter extended to Giant Monsters would be peachy;
HP Accolades, account-wide for PvP zones at the Paragon Market would be fantastic.

Yeah I can't help thinking that instead of assaulting the Keyes Island Reactors we should have just given him a subscription to an online dating service. It probably would have been a lot easier.
