What kind of WB Corr are you going to be making?

Water/Kin for sure, others still up in the air.
Issue 24 PPM Calculator // The Great Makeover: The Vindicators
Water/Poison blood blaster for sure. Concept is the guy can manipulate his blood and drain the life and abilities of anyone he touches with his blood.
Probably traps. Trying to figure synergy, seems like water would be an ideal fit for a secondary that lacks a self-heal. Traps also does all of its setup at the start of a fight, so don't have to worry as much about being distracted from optimal use of tidal power. And waiting until 35 for trip mine won't be quite so painful since water has such boss AoE. I've also got a decent concept in mind for one (though I'm sad that the name 'Depth Charge' is already taken on my home server - it would have been perfect).
The lack of an AoE slow in traps to stack with whirlpool does give me pause, though. The other major contender I was thinking of is dark, since it is (as always) incredibly awesome and tar patch + whirlpool (and DN pulls onto tar patch + AoEs in general, for that matter) sounds like a very tasty combo. It does steal some of dehydrate's thunder, though, and I've already got a /dark corr who I like a lot.

This is what it means to be a tank!

Caltrops.
Coincidentally, I'll be making one of these myself: Whirlpool + Stacking (and slotted) Caltrops; Geyser's Stun + Stacking Trip Mines (w/ OF proc)
May also do a /Storm as well: OF enhanced Tornado to whittle mobs down into Scourge territory; FR + everything.
Apparently, I play "City of Shakespeare"
*Arc #95278-Gathering the Four Winds -3 step arc; challenging - 5 Ratings/3 Stars (still working out the kinks)
*Arc #177826-Lights, Camera, Scream! - 3 step arc, camp horror; try out in 1st person POV - 35 Ratings/4 Stars

I even have the name.. "Hematologist"

The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

1) My main character is a plant/storm, and having played it in that way for so long, it would be hard for me to get used to playing storm without the lockdown of a control set (I know Tornado with the OF proc would be fine, but there's always thunder storm which does KB) and as I said I already have my bit of storm it's time for something new.
I guess I listed all my reasons in that one paragraph lol.
And I guess I have never really been one for traps, I could never get into it.
Either way I am so excited even though all of the blasts can be essentially the same Just different visuals and side-effects, WB with its Tidal Power is just refreshing and seems fun! Can't wait!
PS: As an added note, I have looked around the forums and now am torn between rad and cold. Ugh I might just have to roll both :-P

In other news, the effects animation for dehydrate sure is pretty when it's a nice nearly-opaque red.
I really can't find a thematic pairing that I feel is really compelling. Maybe after I've seen more of it a concept will occur to me. I'm trying, but I don't recall ever thinking to myself, "Wow, this Support Set would be awesome to pair with a Water Blast/Attack!"
That said, it sounds like a well designed set, balance wise, and sounds like it has some interesting mechanics built in, so it'll probably be popular and net some decent income for the game.
Was gonna do water blast with cold but may wait till nature affinity comes out and then try water/ nature.
Water/Poison. Sulking Platypus.
The gods had fun creating him, now it's time for them to learn what humilitation tastes like!
@Viper Kinji
Currently working on:
Turtle Snapper - SD/MA/Ice Tanker
Went with a Water/Time corruptor and have been enjoying it so far.
Now giving thought to a Water/Dark Blaster and possibly shipping one of my characters off to another server so I can use his name--Dark Tide.
Under construction
Ended up deciding to go with a Water/Kin - Splash Damage - and a Water/Time named Time Stream (seriously, how was that still available this long after Time came out?!).
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

Never made a Corr so I went with Surf's Up: WB/Ice - has the frizbee and board (ala hover board or w.e). "Ice" being the foam and surf that is blowing around - ya, weak, but Im having fun. Thought wb/time for a heck-o-spinning whirly things, but wanted more wateriness.

haha nice names...
I level shifted my water/kin yesterday afternoon, and he really has been a ton of fun. I'm liking the cone more than I thought I would.
I'm still up in the air about what I want to pair with it. I've decided not to do time, and hold off on repeating that set. Dark and Cold however are not completely off the table now. Kins just spoil and confuse me for when I want to use a set again

WB/Time Aqua Flux and WB/Rad Toxic Tide. Aqua made 50 yesterday, Toxic will be 50 later today.
The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Water/Dark named Dark Pirate Waters. Because I'm original like that.
Current Published Arcs
#1 "Too Drunk to be Alcoholic" Arc #48942
#2 "To Slay Sleeping Dragons" Arc #111486
#3 "Stop Calling Me"
was thinking pairing it with /Storm...
dunno yet =\
Well, I have to say that after all that good reading, I have been swayed to make my first /poison character. I would never touch it as a MM, but I have had enough of Kin, traps, storm and don't want to detract from my "First" /Time char...
But the joy of all the water effects... The myriads of tints...
I have my theme, now off to find a name! Thanks.
Wassabi Grav/Kin 50 (before badges/accolades were in game) Pinnacle
Miss Command Bots/Traps 50 Justice
*others left off due to space issues
I made a water/therm corr. Didn't expect to like it (hate "healer" sets), but the theme just...fits! Made him as a former Outcast that once rivaled Frostfire, but couldn't hone his skills to the level Frostfire could.
Still working on a better story, but I think Aquafire could be a keeper. Kinda sad Aquaflare was taken.
Here's my Water/Storm build.

The Only Token Black Guy
My first thought was pairing Water Blast with Storm Summoning; a hydrokinetic psychic Mutant. So far I haven't found anything that's not to love. Excellent synergy both in power theme and function. Now if only I could stop giggling every time I start a fight with Tidal Power -> Water Burst -> Freezing Rain -> Whirlpool.
And it's only going to get worse with Geyser.

I've made Sandmage, a Water/Time corr. I played around with the power colours to make them look like sand and it's very convincing.
I am thinking of making a WB/Rad, but am not 100% sure. I am going to have to take a look to see what I want, but just like the title says post what build you are going to make and why, or if you aren't going to be making one why not!
