What makes good use of the kb2kd proc?

This is where I had it before bonfire, and it works exactly like that: the mobs just bounce around and take 3 big ticks of damage (most I saw was 230ish/tick). If bonfire gets adjusted this is where it'll go back to.

You're right. I was confusing the power with the repel effect found in hurricane.

Just tested this and can confirm that it does not work in Singularity.

Weird question: can it be slotted in a standard PBAoE damage auras? If so, does it knockdown 20% of enemies around you every 10 seconds?

What about Fortunata Psi Tornado? Is it the same as the storm tornado (except needing accuracy)?

I've never used the power, since I dislike the KB effect.

Nope. Not even remotely the same.

Psionic Tornado is just a target AoE attack which has a chance to knockup.

Tornado is a pet summon that left unchecked will wreak untold havoc and chaos upon the field.

I have an Ice/KM Tanker (As well as 3 other Ice tankers) and took it out of Repulsing Torrent because it ruined how fun that power was, not to mention the KB isn't 100%. If you're needing to stick it into KM as an ice tanker you're probably doing something wrong. (Willpower I can understand due to low taunt mag, and stalkers because of how much KB lowers the DPS) so I moved it into Icicles.

I rarely see it proc though, to be honest. I ran a farm I used to do and didn't see it trigger.

May need to find a single mob who isn't going to die by leaving Icicles tick and watch my combat log/screen to see if it is actually triggering.

I believe that's just by virtue of being a toggle.

Like the damage procs, it'll only check every 10seconds. Because it's only a (what 20%?) chance to proc in non-KB powers, you're only going to see it fire off about every 50seconds or so per target.

Honestly I don't think it's really worth it in toggles.

I believe there's currently a bug where the knockdown part of the enhancement isn't working. The knockback conversion works, just not the other part.

Not only does it turn it into a decent second AoE cone that lines up perfectly, but should also turn it into a very nice mitigation tool. It has a low recharge rate (8s), cut that down by half and you have a 4 second, decent sized cone that you can spam to keep baddies off their feet.
I accidentally respecced into this yesterday with my Sonic/Pain Corruptor. The short help says "knock down foes," while the long help says knockback. I only read down and I selected it... Boo. Oh well. Good place for the set.

In the Blaster Dark Blast Set

Umbral Torrent....though the blast will still be subpar damage and travel along the ground meaning anything hovering avoids it...at least it would do knock down instead of knock back and not be totaly detrimental to the rest of the power set or the dark manipulation set or any of the other blaster manipulation sets.

Although on the other hand if you slot it with the new enhancement...then you wont be able to exploit this power in pvp by slotting this one with nothing but knock back enhancements and knock down anyone you like...and juggling them across maps.

oh well....most likely this power wasnt supposed to be inthe set and was supposed to be Dark Obliteration Instead.

Just picked it up (and all the badges. . .nifty) on my first go at it with my DM/Elec/Soul Brute. I'm half tempted to slam it into Lightning Field. But then my thoughts turn to Dark Consumpion, Soul Drain, and Dark Obliteration. Heck. . .even though it is single target, Siphon Life is up every 4 seconds.

Thoughts?

I mentioned it elsewhere , but I'll add it here... it doesn't work on the new gravity/propel .. the new narrow KB cone still stays as KB and not KD if this proc is slotted.
As others have said - also tested in Singularity and doesn't work

one of the posters said too bad that the set willnot work in one of the powers, well this is is my tin foil hat time.

there will be other sets coming out for other powers, some of the ones that do not have purple sets avail for them, I bet next year there will be either a "triple " feature or a choice of a second type of enhancment for the event, and dont forget in a month or so we will have halloween event again.

For me the priorities are/were (more or less in order):

Solar Flare - as others say, game changer
Tornado - goes from a power I only break out when things have already gone south to one I can use as often as it's available (endurance permitting)
Explosive Blast - don't have to put as much effort into positioning etc anymore (never actually had complaints on my Energy Blast characters, but that's largely because of aforementioned extra effort in that area)
Blaster Dark Blast Torrent - as above
MM power pool Bonfire - I'm actually thinking of keeping it as KB on my blaster as he already has lots of AoE so I'd maybes miss the get-away-from-me aspect (especially now it's not *totally* OP), but for my MM I'd prefer to keep them in the patch for the damage.


Those are the main ones for me. If I can be bothered continuing to farm the trial, or spend the non-trivial amounts of inf, I'll maybe add some to stuff like M30, Shockwave, etc, but those are nice-to-have rather than must-have for me. And adding it to Crane Kick would make me a sad (kung fu) panda - I love the KB on that one, just for the visual.
