Commemorative Statesman Statue
Because the entire point of removing Statesman from the game was to remove him from the game.
"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
A memorial statue makes perfect thematic sense if he was supposed to be the Superman of CoH.
He'd look great in Steel Canyon, replacing boring Captain Shoulderpads by Posi & Valkyrie.

My City Was Gone
Yeah, I get that, but c'mon. Surely they can manage a statue somewhere even without an official name placard that looks like him, or... something. Reference him as "Ms. Liberty's grandfather" if you must. But it seems odd to have statues for Hero1 and everyone else and yet nothing for Statesman, in-game-history-wise.

I agreed I think Statesman should get a statue since he of one of the main heroes in the game. put it in.... the center of the city, A huge one like Atlas. The center of Paragon City

Where?
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.

M1 (the statue by Posi/Valk in Steel Canyon) can be replaced by Statesman. He already has a statue in Galaxy, and I think he also exists in Peregrine Island's "random assortment of statues, including voyeur girl peering into an apartment building".

Oh, :P then yeah just put it where Positron is, everyone who plays will see it at least once
Personally, I would like a revamp of the statues around Paragon altogether. Put Statesman somewhere in Atlas, hold a contest for players to design costumes for some of the other hero statues, downscale their size a bit, etc. etc.
Also, can we get a new Galaxy Girl statue? And anyway though, part of this is because it really is hard to tell Cassopia from generic, female hero statue number 8 in a half dozen other places in Paragon.
Okay, now I'm just ranting.

But if the idea is to remove Statesman from the game, how about a statue of the actual man behind his mask? Show that he was a soldier, a friend and a father too.
Or you can do something artsy or symbolic, a memorial with fountains, moat and his signature star patterns beneath the water...maybe a statue of just his helmet...
We see so many repeats of the same statue and pose over and over, replace some of those with new ones.
Personally I would love to see Statesman on top of city hall, posed as if he were holding up the flagpole.
I could get behind the idea of a States statue in Steel Canyon, and maybe replacing Voyeur Girl with Sister Psyche. She invades your privacy... with her MIND!!!
EDIT: Plus, much like in real life, Positron would forever be in the shadow of Statesman. It's, like, a metaphor.
FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.
To have statues of all these random no-namers and bit-Heroes, and NOT have one of Statesman and Psyche? That would be bad form and out of character for the Paragon Universe. And shallow and petty too, really =/
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Yep, it would be good to have a statesman statue.
With a badge.
I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.
Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.
So sad to be ending ):
Sister Psyches post was in IP so her statue could be there. Statesman needs really big statue... Something like statue of judgement in Judge Dredd. Top of statue on maximum height of the game and new superhero command center inside his head
edit. oh oh and lasercannons in his eyes
Prunejuice is warriors drink.
Although States and Sis. P are dead, they havent been utterly wiped from existance. They still have a history, friends and people that remember them. Some of us have known them for 7ish years and they are recognised figures in the CoH universe.
They should DEFINATLY have something big and showy as a memorial to them, and not just the memorial room for hero 1 that we only visit in missions. We need something that players can mourn at and to show new players the past of the game and what was the pinnicle of superheroism.
On Dungeons and dragons Online, they have a memorial to Gary Gigax. Its a mossy monument with special music, lighting and little fluttering butterflies. I know States isnt in the same league as Gigax, but we should still have one!
Rockshock (Druid Tanker), Medicat (Combat Medic), Dwarf From the North (Ice Mage), Rocket Gal (Energy Blaster), Graveborn (Undead Mastermind), Streeker (Punching Speedster), Op. Sidewinder (Recluse's pet Spider)
I think that is a good point, Rock.
He was here. She was here. They were integrated in the game, and therefore in our lore as the playing characters in the game.
A tribute, annoying as it might be to some because of what States and Sister P means to some (Jack), wouldn't be a bad thing.
The park near AE in Atlas could be the place. The depressed one towards the Hollows entrance. Although I'm not sure a *gigantic 20 story statue set* is the thing, perhaps a couple ala Cyrus in Kings Row would be a good thing. Poignant, not looming. Maybe a history badge or a different type of cape mission can be started/made with them and a history plaque each.
Anyway. I'm for it, but I don't think replacement of other things is needed, and huge is definitely not.
August 31, 2012. A Day that will Live in Infamy. Or Information. Possibly Influence. Well, Inf, anyway. Thank you, Paragon Studios, for what you did, and the enjoyment and camaraderie you brought.

Well... perhaps I was premature about that whole 'signing off' thing... - 11-9-2012
Yeah the Memorial of Breakneak is a good example. Something sentimental. Thinking about it, I think States and Sis. P would rather something small and respectful than something huge and showy.

I was misremembering M1 as Hero 1. My bad! Named statues that I can find in the game:
Atlas (duh)
Galaxy Girl
Talos
M1
Mustang (aka Corsair snif)
Avatar (broken, under a tree in Perez)
Nebula
Wavelength (!! does "Assist the security chief in IP" still say Wavelength fell in the Rikti War? She looks awfully spry at the moment.)
Cassiopeia
Breakneck/Cyrus Thompson
Dauntless
Nimbus/Georgia Reynolds
Crimson Fist/John Knox
Orion
Night Hammer (badge implies she was quite alive when it was made)
Red Tiger/Jake Montoya (definitely still alive)
And Lord Recluse, of course. HE's quite alive. Such an ego. And all the Praetorian statues, but we know they have ego issues.
So, it's an odd list. But... we *do* have the memorial of Hero 1 (although I wish it were outside somewhere), and I think it would be fitting in-game to have a couple of memorial statues somewhere for Statesman and perhaps Sister Psyche (she's been "dead" before, but this time for sure?)

Wherever they put them, though, both the Statesman and Sister Psyche deserve commemorative statues of their own. They were important characters in the city and pre-date all our own. There needs to be some obvious reminder that they existed.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

While a statue would be cool of both statesman and sister psych, I think a museum or one central building dedicated as a memorial would be even better. This space could commemorate things from game lore/history.
So we have all of these GIANT statues all over Paragon City, most of some specific now-dead hero or heroine. Many of these dead supers have a statue because they did something Particularly Important, which is nice and cool and all.
Statesman is dead.
Why doesn't HE get a giant statue?
