How far back does it have to be to count as a legacy arc?
Generally, a lot of people seem to draw a line between pre-GR and post-GR content, but that would mean that Faultline, the RWZ, the Midnighters, Cimerora and Ouroboros would count as legacy content, even though they feel more modern.

Envoy of Shadows. Why would I ever touch that one again, except on my character who's doing every single (blueside) mission available on her way up? (And yeah, she is level 37, so... soon...)

Came here to say this.

Harvey Maylor's interminable arc about the Bands of Shu and so on is also incredibly tedious.

I wanted to, but never really got around to World Wide Red or The Eternal Nemesis.

Villains are those who dedicate their lives to causing mayhem. Villians are people from the planet Villia!

I did that with my first ever live character Blood Rose starting from 2004 on to 2007. Only problem was that she out leveled stuff that didn't exist yet.

Anyway seed of darkness.

The clockwork one where you eventually save the family from the clockwork. Used an auto speed shop motif over the usual warehouse decor for the final mission (which was added as the original arc simply used the generic warehouse map for the final mission).

Library of Souls
Revenant Hero Project
To Save a Soul
Freakalympics
Looking Through the Glass

The first five that came to mind before I even looked to see if the second post asked any kind of clarifying question. If I have this wrong, I'll edit it.

Oh Wretched Man. And most of the other lower level villian arcs. My latest red side character seemed to get to level 20 really fast and then it was tips to read through the new stuff there, a couple of the villian SSAs to see that side of the story and then First Ward to do it non-Ouro style.

TBH, I haven't played a lot of villians so there are big chunks of red side I haven't played even once.

Terra Conspiracy. I keep missing it. I keep planning on Ouro-ing it.

And for temp powers... the one with the chameleon device that turns you into a sorta-freakshow.

You name it, I probably haven't played it.

I think the last time I ran anything was Johnny Sonota's arc redside, and the next to the last mission left a really bad taste in this solo-player's mouth (huge map, find and lead four hostages, etc.).

The other reason is that I've grown pretty bored of solo playing and almost always PUG, as I alt around too much for an SG. PUGs very very rarely in my expoerience ever do anything other than trials, radios and tips (I'm sure some of you will pop up here and tell me otherwise and good for you, just that my milage has varied).

I've given the Freaklympics a pass ever since Striga and Croatoa came into being, which is a bit of a shame since I love fighting Freakshow and it awards one of my favorite badges.

I always do Faultline-Striga-Croatoa now, so anything else that might happen in that 20 level stretch is going to be ignored.

On the other hand, I do whichever lowbie and 35+ missions I get from contacts, so I have run Crimson and Indigo and Angus and Harvey at least once in the last four months.

I've lately come to find out that a huge part of the player base isn't even aware of Striga Island. That's a damned shame, as it's one of the best zones available to blue-side folks.

Things I hate: Anime. PvP. Lying MMO Developers. Outleveling content. Manga. ED. Comic Store Employees. Anime.

Vahzilok Plague arc.

Also, Freaklymics/Freakshow War arcs.

The latter two are still a couple of my favorite arcs in the game.

Took me about 10 seconds to come up with an answer.

Vazhilok Plague - ugh, endurance gimping for fun? I think not.

World Wide Red

The Hollows arc, at least the parts after Flux/Frostfire.

I disagree. I have thought about it, and I can't come up with one. And I haven't even set foot in Dark Astoria in over a month.

I play a lot of alts, and unless I'm on a TF, I solo. I prefer story arcs, so there is literally NO story arc in the game that fits the "You haven't played in years" criteria.

Ditto. Been quite the while. Always fun, I should roll a character up to play that again.

Talshak's Heart of the Hollows, though. I had to run that back in December when I got Rose Dawn to 50. I hadn't run it but once back in I4 or such. o.0

Wasn't the same though. I had a better computer, Rose was well stocked with slots even exemplared, and although we had a little trouble here and there... we pretty much steamrolled through the last mission.

The previous single time, the local lag trying to draw all that crap going on just made it... difficult, let's say. And we had SUCH a time getting people to the obelisks and timing it right... Way more fun/challenging back then.

It's really pretty in there, though. Got some good screenies this time. Good times, good times.

/Yes, only twice have I run that one.
//Seems odd to me, anyway.
///It *was* years... but now it's only months. Still.

Freak olympics, or whatever it's called. I ran that once, way back, when I was leveling Palrah and haven't seen it since.

I started "Burning Dreck," which is as close to an "origin of the Freakshow" arc as you get, on a character some months or years back and have yet to finish it.

I have also never, ever done "Ubelmann the Unknown" (either version). That's the only "legacy" hero arc I can think of that I've never done.

You know, i'm really unclear how Dark Astoria even has any relevance to the discussion. In fact the more i think about the less I see the revamped Dark Astoria as being relevant one way or the other. Almost a complete non sequitur.

... eh?

I alt fairly heavily. My SGs don't mind - since I'm almost guaranteed to have something at any level. Also, hook up with the server (or global) channels - I don't know how you're just seeing tips, radios and trials, since (aside from the DFB near-spam) I see calls for task forces, mission teams and the like fairly frequently.

Poke around for some new channels.

Heather, Heather, Heather, Ephram, change character, repeat was the implication I assumed.
