I'd like to see more mutant-like costume parts. We have a lot of clothes and armour now so maybe sets based around aquatic or nature mutations. Lobster claws, coral reef shoulders/back details, etc for aquatic. For nature, things like branches, bark textures, gnarled root boots, shrubbery shoulders.

They're pretty concept specific but so are some of the stranger parts of the Cosmic Corsair costume... Like that back detail. What is it supposed to be?

I know I risk running afoul of the political correctness police here, but I'd also really like to see some turbans in the game as hat options. Some simple, some ceremonial, some outlandish. I don't think they fit with everything of course, but for the right costume or concept, they can be an amazing lynchpin to the look. I know some people will want to use them to make socially inappropriate characters, but so many more can use them in ways that are tremendously appropriate to the scifi and superhero traditions... think of all the mystics, Persian heroes and just randomly interesting looks they can be used for.

Dear NCsoft, if you go through with this shutdown you've guaranteed you'll not see another dime from me on any project you put out, ever.

Given we have scimitars and flying carpets already, the above sounds decent to me at least.

If it hasn't been said already, I will now, otherwise second it:

Knives of Artemis backpack.

Also second the notion of hats for monstrous heads.

Oh and the last few sets that have come out recently have been AWESOME! Very very happy with new costume sets as of late. Thank you for the excellent work.

A simple suggestion would be for a luminescent version of all the chest decals we currently have under "Symbols". Such a collection could even be put together as a pack to sell and probably wouldn't require too much effort to put together since the designs are already done. I'm pretty sure such a pack would be fairly popular as well.

With so many luminous costume options we get these days, it would be nice to get those old chest decals to match and give us more mix and match opportunities, especially for concepts that revolve around a specific chest decal as the character's identifier.

A glowing version of the Scanner (detail one) would be nice. It looks like it should glow, at least.

Posted as a separate thread before learning of this one, but wanted to post my suggestion that supports both super groups, and costume creators...

The variety of logos usable on the chest are great, but I'd love to see those logos usable in a variety of ways.

Back logos - Think biker jackets with back patches. This one seems like one of the easier implementations, especially if limited to certain back types.

Cape logos - Why not put your logo on the back of your cape? I realize this one is likely harder and less likely to be implemented since it could have animation implications. A "logo cape" option would be nice though.

Shoulder logos - Logos on shoulder pads or shoulder patches would be another nice option.

Pocket Logos - Instead of the full chest, what about logos that just go at the breast pocket.

Logo Belt buckles - A logo belt sounds like another cool way to incorporate the logo.

I'm sure there are more, but a "logo costume pack" seems like it could be feasible, for at least some of these locations, and opens up a wide variety of new costume options.

I know. This is the only thing that concerns me about having turbans and other Arabian-themed costume pieces. Some idiot is going to form a SG of Muslim characters, send them all into the AE building and have them [Self-Destruction] themselves.

I hope that is an irrational fear. I would love to have the ability to make an authentic Arabian hero.

I under stand the epic costume set is to show hay i am over 50 eat this. I for one get a character to 50 his idea and look are set at that point. I do not create a lot of different looks for most of the guys i have. But would love to use it for some lower level ones but there is that restriction. In my opinion this is elitist and just dumb and is one reason i have gotten tired of this crap from other games i have played that i do not play any more. To see COH go this rout is sad. The aura unlocks for slime and others is still annoying but can be done with merits Oh wait that's right the ones that are limited per day and can only be gotten from doing those stupid trials. Give the vets a chance to at least unlock or pay to unlock this crap because i for one do not want to spend that long grinding and getting these just so i can add to a character idea i have at first level.

end rant

I just want a gorilla head to use on characters. Gorillas have been a crucial part of comics for years. At one point there was even a one gorilla on cover per month limit at DC (no really). Please just give us a gorilla head, even Champions Online had a gorilla head and that game was nothing compared to COH. Afull gorilla body would be cool but I am not greedy. Just the head would be great, Please...
Thanks

Bush hats like the Aussies ware. You know with the one side folded up against the brim. Actually other people use them too but for me this is the most well known.

And no, you can't really "fake" that because most hats always come with hair on the outside of any Robotic face you pick.

I have a self-serving reason to ask for this, of course. My own Nathanel was supposed to have a Colonen Kroenen look to him, but that's impossible to do since the military hat always has to have hair with it.

Please do this thing

Ascension Armour - can we remove the 50 requirement for it. Two reasons: 1; players can unlock it and then it's available to all their 50s, Incarnate or not and 2; once unlocked a player has it FOREVER so if/when they drop to Premium they still have access to the parts but no access to the powers. Also a bit insulting when we see a potentially low level 5 NPC wearing the belt even if he is Wind (Zephyr from Dr Graves' arc *shudders*).

Circle capes - saw this while levelling an alt. Little cape with a pattern to match the new CoT style on the Agony Mages. Filed under Vanguard backplates.

Some synergy would be nice to clean up some option choices for certain pieces:

  • Syndicate pattern used to be available for female pants as well as male
  • Barbarian bikini is only under tops w/skin and not under jackets
  • Females also can't wear Steampunk boots with Resistance pants as the boots don't appear in the tucked-in pants choice and yet they do for males
I'm sure there's other combos that could be listed here too, I'll try and list the ones I can find.

I mentioned the Longbow spandex pattern before, and the LB jetpack, grenade bandoleer (lieutenants have it), leg pouches (belt option) and Warden helmet.

These are already existing assets (along with the VG backplate and thigh plates) so, please, please, PLEASE let us have them! You have no idea how frustrating it is not being able to get a decent Longbow look. Please Dink

I own at least two arabic toons.... An IllTherm and a sand controller. Female and Male. It is not easy... but it is possible.

I sure could use some basics to fit the carpet and veils we do have. Scimitars and Turbans to start. Maybe the Turban can be another freeby!?

Could we have chest hair options for males?

I can currently fake it for some of my characters using the Monstrous Fur chest under an open jacket, but I have a bunch of heroes who would like to be able to go shirtless without having to wax everything off.

Something as simple as combining the front of Monstrous Fur with the back and arms of Bare Chest Muscular would do the trick nicely, maybe with nipples added.

Thanks a lot!

Ok, maybe I'm ignorant of an anime reference or something, but are the Mecha Armor wings and backpack supposed to stick out of the back on a giant peg like a poorly engineered action figure accessory? I think they'd look vastly better if the inner plane of the "mounting surface" (those bits that would actually be pretty epic looking on their own without the wings or warp nacelles) was flush with the back. Does it need to be that way to accommodate some of the beefier "chest option" pieces like PPD armor?

Dear NCsoft, if you go through with this shutdown you've guaranteed you'll not see another dime from me on any project you put out, ever.

Yes, PLEASE! More character accessible paramilitary accessories like grenade bandoliers, belts with thigh holsters for pistols, and so on. Also please give us some updated ammo bandoliers. As much as I'm a proponent of leaving access to older costume pieces, the 2-D Shotgun shell and machine gun ammo bandoliers are really showing their age.

I brought this up with Tunnel Rat earlier in the thread, she checked with the artist who made them and reported this was working as intended. I'm with you, though - I don't know why that is and I don't get it.

Here's the thing: I know it's impossible to have a flat static plate be flush with the characters' back both because the back isn't flat even at rest and because it bends greatly when animating, both forward and back. However, this doesn't seem to prevent Tunnel Rat's own Retro Sci-Fi jet pack from being flush with the back, so it's obviously doable.

Furthermore, I know that the Mecca Armour jet pack was designed to work with an armoured top - the actual Mecca Armour top only came in armoured form initially - so the pack would naturally be set a bit back. However, I believe this is a mistake. Designing parts to only look well together is a problem in itself, but even generally, BABs created a solution to this with Shield Defence - the shield would offset itself based on the glove model used with it. This should be usable for backpacks, too.

In general, I agree that having the backpack sticking out of the character's back on a gradient-colour, no-shader girder looks BAD, and it looks bugged. Why make what is for all intents and purposes a mounting plate and then hang it on a peg? I really wish something happened to those packs to mount them better.

I would love the following option in Head Details...

The flower from the plant hair.. which has the option to come with or without colorable flower... Can we get that flower as a head detail pleaseeeeee!!!?

I am thinking Hawaiian and Asian girls... Spanish dancers... etc. All possible if this excisting model would be placed as head detail.

Yeah, the BAB offset would be a vast improvement. As for how you make a flat mounting plate fit a curved back... you extend the flat side of the plate (that is pointing toward the character) until it's more of a box that extends until it's inside the character model. It would be nice to have details along the sides, but even just a plain box (or would this be a plane box?) would look better than "the peg."

EDIT: Also, having seen video proof of how awesome it looks on today's Community Coffee Chat, can we PLEASE have some invisible pistols so we can do the whole "Gun Hand" thing?
