Which has got me thinking, does that mean we're getting to pick inherents?

Assault is a choice of either fury, crits, defiance or scourge with the tier 4 giving a choice of two (crits and fury or defiance and scourge?).

Control tree a choice of containment or domination.

Support tree is the only one i'm not sure on.

It's doubtful but got me thinking.

I've got a couple of "Praetorian only" characters who have been patiently waiting for Praetoria to get "finished" all the way up to level 50. This Night Ward news was good news for that.

That's true for most MMOs, but this game has always given us epic Taskforces to cover those awesome, huge events. STF/LRSF, LGTF, ITF, even the Apex and Tin Mage, which started the whole war. League-worthy raids were reserved for either a humongous monster or taking your army of supers to face down an army of Rikti in the middle of their home base. Trials are nice for those events that actually warrant nothing but combat, but a Taskforce is far more efficient at telling a story. I just, personally, feel the big ending to this conflict deserves at least that.

I can understand what you're saying but also just was never expecting an 8 man "ending" to the whole Praetorian issue(s).

I've said it before, one person can make the difference in a trial.

I've been in 8 man tfs/sfs and felt like, "I could leave and it wouldn't be an issue/no one would notice."

To be honest, I wasn't expecting it either. Just hoping. Telling a story through Trials just feels real awkward. :\

In a game where a single player can go into outer space to fight the new magical merging of a villainous god-like entity, and save the universe, I am not so sure that any distinction need be made.

I'm not saying that anything different will be done, but there's no reason for it, other than that's what the developers want to do (which is their right!).

I still can't find any references or cached versions of the page. Anyone have one handy?

NCSoft will be getting no more of my money and my GW2 purchase was halted the day of the announcement. I'm a loyal and very profitable customer. I hope to return to giving them all of my money, should CoH survive.

Also, Mot.

From what I see is that Praetorian War is the "league path", SSAs are the "solo path" and DA is "incarnate solo path". All three have major/epic events balanced for different playstyles.

So I would have expected the last battle with Cole to be a league sized trial.

Those who want a more personal, yet still epic storyline will get to deal with Pandoras Box (of catgirls) and whatever new arcs/zones are added to the incarnate solo content in future issues.

I do not suffer from altitis, I enjoy every character of it.

In this day and age (and not just at Paragon), it's hard to tell what is a mistake, what is a leak, and what is strategic. This several hour pre-beta feature peak has many people on all the servers chatting in hushed tones now about i23. Perhaps more so than if it were the full and final feature list in a proper reveal. Just sayin'.

Only question: does this take the wind out of there sails for the big unveil at the upcoming fan event? Or do they have several nuggets squirreled away regarding from here through the rest of the year that they plan to reveal regardless. I.e. new premium powersets beyond Staff Melee and what not.

There's really only two possible outcomes to these "info leaks" we seem to get -all- the time.

Either they leak these things on purpose just so we'll chew it up and spin out a torrent of speculation just to give them a feel for how the new content will be received or all these leaks really are accidental in which case they must not be -that- bad because the game has yet to "explode" over the multiple leaks we've had over the years.

Bottomline it's not that big a deal for Zwill either way.

Where to find me after the end:
The Secret World - Arcadia - Shinzo
Rift - Faeblight - Bloodspeaker
LotRO - Gladden - Aranelion
STO - Holodeck - @Captain_Thiraas

Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.

[QUOTE=Lothic;4182981]It's been mentioned/implied that Positron was a fan of Robotech. I would have to guess that whatever we get that's called "Mecha" is going to be influenced by that style at the very least:

Super Dimensional Fortress Macross. Super Dimensional Cavalry Southern Cross. Armored Genesis Mospeada.

Sorry... a bit of a sore spot.

True, but probably not by terribly much. Apparently there's a livestream of the I23 trial over at MMORPG.com tonight (6-6:30pm EST).

What? A sore spot that I just used the word "Robotech" all by itself? Get over yourself.

As long as there's a wikipedia page for "Robotech" then I'm going to use it as a general term cover all those specific anime/manga you bothered to mention that didn't really add anything to the general conversation here.

The livestream is announced on the front page of MMORPG.com but it doesn't have any specifics beyond, "The trio will be running through some new content in City of Heroes to show off the awesomeness." I took that to mean they'd be playing through some I22 content, but on the Ustream they said the I23 trial.

Why in god's name are they nuking posts that contain information and links in them? No one is breaking any forum rules by posting or linking to the stuff that Paragon Studios posted.

If it was a mistake, and this was special for the pummit, STOP PUNISHING players for it. And if it wasn't a mistake, someone needs to get over themselves. Seriously.

Maybe Zwillinger should post something like, "Hey everyone, don't search for Issue 23 using Google, and then look at the cached pages that Google saved." Boy, that would just be terrible.
