Zwill was simply an ironic victim of his own attempt to be cute with this. If that movie quote had used any other word than "favorite" we probably wouldn't even be talking about it at this point.

So...no one even said it was staff fighting. Everyone assumed it was staff fighting. Zwill said negative on staff fighting and made a movie reference. People misconstrued it as being rude. I read it and it wasn't rude. Staff fighting didn't come out and epic rage commences. Sounds reasonable.

To those doing it, the Z victim cheerleading is not doing the legitimate issue at hand any justice and is just as extreme as anyone of the extreme's being incorrectly deemed an issue in this case.

And yes, I get the joke NOW. It's his "favorite" because liger quote etc.
It was phrased VERY VERY poorly. At this point I could care less about staff not being released today and more on Zwill got us all excited for say a new pack or Hecatombs and instead its more pets.
I'm not trying to personally attack Zwillinger. He's a great mod. His phrasing was just awful and got a lot of people, including myself, doubly dissappointed.

I've never bought a vanity pet, but I often get more excited about the release of a new costume set than the latest power set.

Sure, I'd like to see them make a whole bunch of options and release it as one pack (short of the ability to customize!), but, either way, it makes no difference to me... so long as they do get around to a lot more options with these pets.
They are the same as costume pieces, only they can't be customized, so we need a release for as many options as they can kick out.
And (not targeted at any one particular poster) people should really lay off of the "abusing the new rig to death" bashing. It's fine if someone wants something else, but they shouldn't lump their frustrations of not getting their shiny onto others getting their shiny.

Just because you can't customize a pet doesn't mean that the pets don't fit some player's character concepts as is. Even with all the costume customization available, I still can't always give certain characers the right look. Other times I find the parts that fit a character to a T with little tweaking. For some I'm sure its the same with pet choices. Who am I to tell some one who thinks a particular pet fits their character concept that they're wrong? That's silly. It's their concept, only they can judge.
Athough now that you suggest it, customizable pets would be awesome and might induce me to actually buy one for once.
