when will scrappers get makeover
Brutes do not have higher damage potential, and they usually don't have higher damage in practice either.
But even if your premises were true, "slightly less incredibly awesome than brutes" is still a far cry from "useless".
Your actually asking to make an arch type able to solo through the heaviest arcs and possible to tweak to solo AV's even stronger?!

I hear the next powerset for Scrappers: Shark Mounted Laser Rocket Launcher Explosion Fist; Will largely satisfy the disparity between Scrappers and their ego.
It seems that, currently scrappers are pointless to play. Brutes have a larger damage potential, higher defense limits, higher HP limits ect. There is no benefit or or reason to play a scrapper. The critical hit only hits 10% of the time and it doesn't even feel like its that often. If it was every third or fourth successive hit it would be better.
As it stands now they are useless, just play a brute. |

They aren't Pointless to play, I play them all the time, They Still the best at Melee Damage. They don't need to be fix or redone. They do there Job better then Brutes, I can Solo any EB in this game with my Scrapper and can do 8 Players groups of Mobs in Mission Maps alone. Not every power Set need to be work on in this game.

Btw. brutes dont have higher defense limits than scrappers meaning the Def is equal. If you mean they have better survivability than scrappers through larger HP and Resi Cap than its true.
Brutes in general do not more damage, either in potential or practice. Perhaps you aren't aware that Brute fury was changed specifically to make this the case in I18.
Stalkers got a makeover because they were perceived as underperforming. They were less durable than Scrappers and did less sustained damage (and usually less AoE damage). Now they still usually deal less AoE damage, are still less durable, but now deal comparable or even better single-target damage. In other words, they "pay" for that damage potential by being weaker in other areas. That they finally get something worth what they pay is not a reason for Scrappers to be changed.
You makeover an AT when it doesn't perform well or when people don't like to play it, either by not creating many or by having poor retention. Scrappers suffer none of those issues.

As for Max Health and Resistance ... again slightly misleading. My Claws/SR scrapper often has more HP than the Brute(s) he's teamed with providing it isn't a set with a self HP buff such as Dull Pain. This issue has more to do with which power sets and how highly IO'd the character might be rather than AT limits. Perhaps a slight nod to Resistance based sets on a Brute over a Scrapper (90% vs 75%) but even there how IO'd plays a huge role compared to the resistance limit in terms of survival.
And I want to be riding my very own Adamantium Armored War Pony (aka the AAWP) while dual firing my Shark Mounted Laser Guided Rocket Launchers of Exploding Fists of Fury (SMLGRLoEFoF) ... Please ...
Yes. It's absolutely true. Scrappers are pointless to play next to Brutes. Stop playing those sissy scrappers and slinking stalkers and toothless tankers and come play the only melee AT in this game worth playing.*

The only thing I feel scrappers need are taunt components in their damage auras. Otherwise they are fine.

I'd appreciate the opportunity to add a taunt aura into my Regen's Integration, like his brute counterpart has. I understand it would be a coding nightmare to make it an option instead of hard-baked into the power, but since we're dreaming..
The other thing that scrappers need that no other AT should be allowed to have is a glowing, fiery aura around their broadswords like Valkyrie has. I think I speak for all of us when I say that the AT will not be complete without that critical Scrapper-only costume piece.
