Tyrannosaurs [note i didn't say Tyrannosaurus Rex, as none have been found with outside coverings preserved] with Feathers. Facts: big theropods had fuzzzz, and smaller theropods, like raptors, had feathers more similar to modern day birds.

woooot!
But have all theropod fossils with skins shown fuzz? Most very large land mammals that live in warmer climates have thick skins lacking almost all fuzz and/or hair. Elephants, hippos, and rhinos being the most obvious examples. The most recent article i read on the fuzzy theropod fossils found in China postulated that most theropod species in warmer climates probably didn't have the fuzz. Although it seems likely that they would've kept decorative feather fringes or crests for mating purposes.

Dr. Todt's theme.

No, it sounds like you would be calling BIGFOOT at claims of racial equality a century ago, or gravity a few centuries before that, or a round earth millenia before that, or even the presence of climate change now.

They got the bone you either accept it, claim some reason it actually is not feathers, or find a way to bring the evidence into question. What you did is try to plug your ears and chant NONONO.

A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!

Why do they only find one foot print when they make claims about Bigfoot?

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

That's all fine, but if Paragon was working on a Dinosaur costume set, I would hope they're going for more of an iconic dinosaur look. I have no problem with them including feathers and fuzz for optional head details, as long as we also get heads without that stuff.

::shrug:: who really knows, they're dead! and there are plenty of birds in tropical climates, the rhea for example lives in south america and is quite fuzzy and large . all we know is what we've got and the context clues! hehe but it's true, big ones in warmer climates could have been quite scantily clad.

well ornithopods didnt have feathers [though many had spikes, osteoderms, and quills], so both options would really fit . its just kinda sad that if when the opportunity arrises for a dinosaur pack, we get very dated and mainstream ideas rather than some modern factual ideas.

example:
-aliens as mainstream icons: little green/grey men. maybe reptile men. movie that shows this: 'Paul'

-aliens as [ok there is no factual evidence for this really buuuttt interesting ideas that arent the overused kind of mleh icon] something different, game wise: rikti [not really but you know what i mean], kheldians, lobsters, squiddies.

eh? eh? eh? no? :/

also, Pterosaurs are not dinosaurs, but rather, a different branch of archosaurs. buuuttt I would REALLY like a pair of Pteranodon or Quetzalcoatlus Northropi wings for my character, most efficiently included in a dinosaur pack.

XD

With any luck, we'll get a mix of what both of us want out of a dino pack. Hopefully.

So he hops around on one leg leaving only one foot print. This has all come together to make perfect sense due to your enlightening post. Well thank you kind sir.

I am all for such a pack.
I can do without having to beat up dinosaurs for the sake of the supposed cool of it. Again.

Yes, pretty much. After all this is a fantastic super hero game and not a science documentary. People should be allowed to make their characters look like the dino characters in all the comics and cartoon references, not be told their super hero cannot look like this because it is not realistic.
I they do that, I think I won't buy it. (because it'd be no use for me)

On a side note, I've pretty much had it with the recent 'But "Dinosaurs" looked like this!' claims. Unless you are a creationist e.g. finding that SOME kinds of theropods must have had something like feathers does not mean that ALL theropods of all species in all corners of the globe that ever existed in the millions of years they pounced the earth had feathers.
Just like with so many other questions about gone species, it still remains to be seen which species had feathers at what time, and if that was a global or local fashion.

Lol @ the very outdated "much less eye-searing" comment.

With mecha and the supposed space-based content on the way first, I wonder how far away something like this might be?

Right. From these pieces of evidence, we can conclude that a BigFOOT:
  • Hops on one foot
  • Travels very far with just one leap (so as to only leave one print)
  • Is extremely light (considering the depth of the foot impression and the impact that such a long leap on a single foot would have).
This sounds like enough information to start a very informative book!

well davy, as I said, what i think would make both parties happy would be for a feathered fringe to be a choosable option for a base scaly head, as well as fins, bone ridges like a triceratops and maybe a few hornstyles.

One basic thing we have to recall is that pc rigs wont really look like correct dinosaurs, furthermore people will be using the heads for other general functions, like mutants, lizardmen, and maybe a dragon or 2(just maybe...think i know a guy with a dragon thing going on.) so i think that its important that they do respect authenticity as a choice, other more iconic, if less accurate options should also be available. that you, those who want authentic dinosaur looks, and me on some costumes, can have the feathers, but they will be among several options.

Or are they?

I still say, out of all possible costume packs requested, a dinosaur themed pack remains Massive Fail.

As far as the other person nattering on about dinos everywhere having been found bristling with pinfeathers, yeah right. I'll file that right next to "I WAS KIDNAPPED BY BIGFOOT!" claims. Hope that does not sound "snobby."

Those of you who think this game needs a One Thousand Years BC theme, carry on. I'm out.
Yes. It's just like how every issue of The Flash has a cyborg, a guy in a retro-Sci Fi outfit, a mage, a ninja, and a Furry. I could go on.

Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.
