This is the end
Hold your breath and count to ten
Feel the earth move and then
Hear my heart burst again
For this is the end
Ive drowned and dreamt this moment
So overdue I owe them
Swept away, Im stolen
Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
At skyfall
Sad skyfall -
As a matter of fact, the final week or so of the game will be a Rikti invasion blowout, so if you haven't got the demo done by then, you'll have your chance.
Also, I was redside on Victory today soloing on a lowbie villain (according to team search, just my one lowbie and about eight villain 50s running about). As I was logging out for lunch, a Rikti invasion triggered in Port Oakes. If it can happen on Victory redside, with less than ten villains online, it can still happen anywhere. -

Thanks very much Maribelle!
Bumping for great reminder, this takes place today, 9 PM ET, 6 PM PT. Have fun Justice! -
@Fox-tailed Gamer, AKA (Keldon/Marine/Whatever)oftheHood is hosting a Hami raid this Saturday, 10/27 at 9 PM ET in the Hive. This is a personal challenge, bucket list item for him, as he's leading it on his Peacebringer.
He doesn't read these forums much, so I posted it for him. If interested, please show up at the appointed time. Thanks very much! -
How many here have run their first Faction quest?
As a Templar, I had to run the darkness of the parking garage. Really great use of lighting effects. -
Remember, TSW works on single server tech. Despite the names, it's really all one server, which is why you can team cross-shard. So no need to roll a new toon on Huldra.

Quote:All the rest of your information is on point, but I disagree with this one. True, it is easy to bounce back in and get another weapon, but it does you no good. At that point, you only have skills in one weapon anyway, and you don't get more points until you hit the Kingsmouth Sheriff's office. After you choose your first weapon, exit the training area and re-enter, and then pick up a second weapon.
Just outside the office, there's a guy in a black leather jacket named Moose. One of the missions he gives is a crafting tutorial for weapons. The end result is a white-quality weapon with a glyph slot, which the training room weapons lack.
Basically, the devs planted that mish there exactly for the purpose of giving you a second weapon when you needed it. Costs nothing, and if a glyph drops off a mob, you can drop it on that wep to get more use out of it. -
Quote:Morbid posted this above. Just hit 'c' to get your Character screen, then choose 'Dressing Room.' There'll be choices such as 'Back', 'Chest', 'Legs', and 'Boots.' If you get a hat, a 'Hats' option will also appear. You can click on anything there to see how you look in it, but you have to hit the 'Wear' button to make it stick, otherwise it'll vanish when you move.Okay I'm starting to get really irritated. I bought the pack with the faction clothing, I claimed the clothes from the store, but they didn't appear in my inventory, they don't show up in the character creator, and I can't find an NPC that let's me change my clothes ingame. The Barber and Surgeon are only letting me change my face and hair.
Oh and their damn forums won't let me register. It says my login and password isn't valid, then sends me to a screen to get them sent to my email, but then tells me my email isn't valid and to contact an Administrator, but wont let me do that because I can't log in to the forums.
Who the frak is running things over there gorram Dilbert? -
There's a pic posted on Facebook of the meet. Pebble's rocking a cowboy hat.

Quote:Sounds like you're very early in the game.So far I'm running with Elemental and Shotgun. But I haven't actually found a shotgun, so really I just have Elemental.
Pro-tip: Once you get out of your faction city and into Kingsmouth, there are a couple of tutorial crafting quests. Moose, near the Sheriff's office, has the weapon crafting quest. You take apart his shotgun for mats, then place them into a pattern based on his book to create a new weapon. You can place them into any pattern you like to create any weapon you need. The advantage here is that, while the weapon is basic/common quality, it comes with a glyph slot so you can improve it, making it useful longer. -

I remember the robot invasion on Justice, and how we decided to invade back with mimes.
I remember Virtue accepting the challenge of downing dropships during a Rikti weekend and in one day we downed...what, 35? D_R would know, she was recording it.
Those two are the first ones off the top of my head, but there are a lot of good memories from this game. -
The first toon I rolled for this game...
Well, I still have it, untouched. Rolled my first toon on Champion server, because the name sounded cool. Decided from the descriptions I'd be a tank. Created the toon, and built in my mind an image of a brawling biker. Someone kinda anti-heroish, though not grimdark, just rough around the edges, more interested in hot chicks and free beer than being noble. So he became an invul/SS tanker...
...named Harleyfire.
Harley because he was a biker...fire because...of the flames on the outfit.
Such a dumb, misleading name. Anyone seeing it in chat or in the team search window might think I was a fire blaster. And for a biker, he's wearing a tight shiny outfit. All patent leather, with a ponytail and a cigar.
Anyway, it wasn't the outfit that turned me off of him. It was the slow feel of SS combat. Big, slow punches that anyone should be able to dodge. And since your first toon became your global, I was @Harleyfire for a while, which I hadn't been aware of at the time of picking the name, or I might have picked something else.
All these years later, I'm looking at him and thinking he really should be a StJ/Will brute. With a better outfit. And possibly a better name.
