Just checked the new Dark Astoria - sweet on the graphic changes. I like the models, textures, shadows, and overall feel very much. Unfortunately, this has the side affect of making the older zones show their age even more. I think the devs should bump up the priority of zone makeovers to the newer quality, or if they have, possibly the schedule/pace of highly-used zones, even at the expense of (yes, I'm saying it) new powersets. It doesn't make too much sense to have new pretty shinies to play with in old drab-looking-by-comparison toyroom.

Also did 2 runs of Dilemma Diabolique. Pretty nice - didn't find any mechanics which made it feel "cheaty," and a full league of 14 with mostly +2s/+3s was able to run through pretty quickly. We were able to pick up 3 trial badges in our 2nd run.

I think that they're aware of the importance of zone revmaps by now

They're even having a panel at the next Player Summit where players can make a 2 minute pitch for a zone revamp, saying which zone they think should be the next for a revamp, and what the revamp should be like.

Ok, so it's a spiffy looking trailer but I really don't think it showcases issue 22 terribly well. I think you first really see anything to do specifically with I22 at about 1:20 ... out of 2:06. The rest of it is dealing with Statesman's death (which won't happen with anything in-game aside from the SSAs until I23) and the newer purchaseable powersets (including staves which isn't actually in-game yet).

It's like you ripped the still-beating heart from the chest of the Hentai Avenger and threw it on the ground. You guys are wrecking my dreams.

... Seriously, though, awesome patch. I was just griping the other day about having to log in to make settings. Heck, I think I still have a character named Settings Changer whose sole purpose in life was to let me shut off the music before Atlas Park was loaded.

I am, quite honestly, amazed that there are people who seem unhappy with this set of patch notes. Yeah, I want Staff Melee and enhancement converters and also a puppy and a pony, and a pony that takes a puppy for rides and they're friends, and also a million dollars.

But the question I ask, when I look at patch notes, is:

Will I have more fun playing this game than I would have playing the game I had available yesterday?

And the answer is yes, yes I will.

how do you get the Magicked Telepad to accept 6 zone, mine only give 2 destinations?

Nice trailer but I think it's bugged - it's got several scenes with staff melee in it.

Hmm, Assassin's Focus stacks seem to work well on Stalkers with short animation times, but on my Spines stalker I find it kind of frustrating to see my stacks often expire while I'm stuck in the 3 second plus animation times trying to queue up an Assassin's Strike.

I understand the wanting to make them be short duration use this battle only criticals, but as mentioned in beta, the duration seems a little short for practical use in some sets.

  • These new Telepads look and work exactly the same as Basic Telepads but support up to 6 Teleportation Aux Beacon connections - meaning one pad can link up to 6 zones. *cracks knuckles and opens base editor* Anyone got a Dew...or 5?
  • Arcane Base Telepads now correctly take players to Echo: Galaxy City instead of Destroyed Galaxy City. See, they get to the little things when they can. ;-)
  • Corrected the visual appearance of the Grandville and Pocket D Supergroup Teleport Beacons. Thank You!

Lots of QoL upkeep going on here, Yay!

My only gripe so far is missing letters in contact dialogue and in the nav bar in DA. These aren't typical typos, seems more like a text glitch.

Whats up with the new loading screen? Isn't Statesman dead? if so why is he on the load screen and why is he lacking so terribly in a certain department,... geez I feel sorry for the guy, no wonder he wanted to die. ;P

On a related note anyhow know how to change the load screen?

Yeah, I don't really want to look at poor States and his *massive* lack of package.

Maybe he traded it for extra powers, or something?

Maybe some useful communication re badges would be nice.

People shouldnt have to trawl through forums to find information on the 45+ new badges this issue.

So far everything is just great.
I've noticed that the thread drops in DA mission and while street sweeping is none existent since I have my setting at +1x6 and clear mission maps I would expect at least 1 thread. The thread drop needs to be increased substantially, otherwise why bother using DA to get threads when BAF and other trials drop them constantly.

Another thing is Umbra Beast.
I know allot of people in the Beta, including my self addressed this issue with it NOT attacking unless the caster was attacked. The devs failed to let us know if this is intentional or not. Is the Umbra Beast suppose to be on Defensive mode?

For me Umbra Beast should be one of the most aggressive pets in the game with it being an Entity of the Abyss and all. I'd like some dev input on whether this is a bug or intentional.

Some bugs in the DiB trial, just couldn't get it started on a blue side only team. Didn't let us select it in the LFG window.

The new incarnate trial is awesome, the new maps are awesome.
I'm glad they didn't release Staff fighting in this release because that would make me alt from one to the other too much. At least now I have time to hit 50+3 on my dark/poison troller and slot it before staff comes out.

This is one of my favourite updates yet, been wanting a Dark control set for a while now.

Currently the Umbra Beast's AI is effectively set to defensive. This is a bug and will be addressed in an up coming patch. Hang in there, Umbra Beast will be an aggressive face eating monster in no time.

While we have you here, what's going with the changes to Fade and that other power in Dark Affinity I can't remember the name of. Will that be in the next patch?
