Devs moving on, I wish them all the best.
That said, who is going to be around to initiate all the send off events? lol considering how quiet things have been since the announcement I expect little to nothing. Dying a slow, quiet death,.... so much for going out with a bang. -
Quote:If the talent and plan can be brought together then Kickstarter can be used to see if the desire to fund exists out there. On the contrary, Positron has stated that he'd love to make another super hero MMO and he's not the only Paragon member who has given it some thought. But you can't just go make a game in the MMO industry. These are hugely expensive undertakings and require investors and the right talent (not just a capable lead designer--lots of working pieces here).

Quote:Neither can you access all your toons for a farewell run on each and final screen shots.Except if you're not VIP you still don't get to do any of the Incarnate stuff.
To be honest I've just given up on the whole thing,... toons, superpack items, costume pieces, power sets, paragon points, VIP tokens, lots of things paid for that won't be used at all or to their fullest.
Learned a good lesson though caution when playing an on-line game, double caution on extra items purchased in a game store, as it can be all be yanked tomorrow even if the game is making money. -
For your longest unplayed toon:
Cap Game
Used to describe a no-limit or pot limit game with a cap on the amount that a player can bet during the course of a hand. Once the cap is reached, all players remaining in the hand are considered all-in. For example, a no limit game could have a betting cap of 30 times the big blind. Fits well with your idea of a dual pistols guy and brings the aspects of card games into the equation, when you shoot someone, of course your capping them.
Other possibilities with the poker and gun references: Drawing Dead, Ante Off, straight draw, double-draw, gut shot, kill hand, Rakeback pro, splash the pot, squeeze play, under the gun -
The re-tweet method may have been a pain for paragon employees but it gave people a fighting chance to get a code. If you invest the time to keep an eye on the feed (also a pain for your customers), you deserve that chance.
If you are going back to single use codes I will show my displeasure in the best way I can see,... unfollow. I encourage others who feel the same to do the same.
btw Zwill, if your choice is between doing nothing or something, sometimes that something is not the wisest choice. -
Probably already been said in the thread but more animal parts please to use with recently released water blast set and upcoming nature affinity set. Would love to see a shark fin backpack, squid face, proper deer antlers, badger face, for example.
It would make great sense to release a costume pack that meshes with new power sets (if applicable) and release both close to the same time, increase sales while demand for the power set is high. Instead of just selling a power set why not make another $5 on a costume pack at the same time? Maybe sell the costume set one week prior to power set release to ramp up the excitement. -
Agreed, this set if it was created could buff the player and the team rather than debuff the enemy. You could even have a choice mechanic aka dual pistol ammo type for player/team buffs.
Sanctify - team +hit/dam
Atone - team heal/regen
Bless - team +def/+resist
just examples, anyhow you get the idea. -
Still waiting on mine to be sent out but a big thumbs up Devs for listening to all the concerns, much better way to distribute these, but painful on the one responsible for sending them all out. Thx

Why not post codes that have unlimited usage for a given period of time?
Post a code, expire it in 5 or 10 minutes. That way those following the tweets are guaranteed a code. This will create alot less disappointment amongst your subscribers and still reach out to the extended community as desired.
Reaching out to the extended community at the cost of upsetting your VIP customers is not good business mmkay. Come on Paragon, it's not rocket science. -
Pay to win is when I pay my monthly VIP rate and get access to a whole bunch of incarnate powers,..... score! ;P
Seriously, echoing the sentiments of others this is not pay to win. At first I was leery of purple enhancements in the market, now not so much. Every purchase in the store is a vote for the game and that makes it better for all of us. -
Think about what you got before Freedom when you had to pay $15 per month to access even one of your toons, now you can log in for free and access some of your toons. If you want complete access simply do what you did before, pay the $15 and become VIP. When a VIP you also get 400 paragon points and a server transfer along with your month of access, plus signature story arcs, incarnate content and more.
If you think about it - it is better now, log in for free and play, didn't happen before except on free weekends. I can see you position though but I too had to change my mindset, just because we can log in for free, doesn't mean we deserve free grandfathered access to everything we have created on our account without paying something. -
Toons should be able to put permissions on their personal vaults to allow other specific toons, globals, or even entire supergroups access. We already have the permissions mechanic in place for base storage items why not for the vault. I agree with the OP that the usefulness of the vault is not what it could be.

They need to add them to Ouro, a string of scanner missions then the bank mission so that people can grab the badge.
The idea of forcing a player to team or do missions while in a certain level range to get a badge doesn't reflect this "Freedom" the game is supposed to be all about now. -
on Champion
Mangler (before the appearance of the Mangle NPC in game)
Headless Horseman (I was looking for a perfect toon for the pumpkin head costume piece)
Two that I was very surprised weren't taken when I snapped them up a couple of years back. -

Don't buy the superpacks for the ATOs, they are cheap on the market and with converters you can get what you want relatively easy. I have one toon with all his market slots filled with stacks of ten of the lower priced ATOs waiting to be converted when the next round of ATOs come out, plus 2 base bins filled with the current ones.
Put in low bids and wait, convert, and win.
Personally I love the superpacks for everything else that is in them, you may not think you will use them but you do. Having backup stacks of self and teammate rezzes siting in my mail ready to be used by any of my toons is great, team inspirations help on trials that look iffy for final success, merits, catalysts, boosters, it's wonderful. -
At 700 paragon points this will be going on my "when it's on sale list", it so easy to get around nowadays and when travel is somewhat inconvenient I have my personal mission porter power.

Anyone know what the cooldown is on this close to $10 power?

If they want an influence sink let us buy apartments throughout Paragon, a small sized personal base for a single toon with windows out to the city below from whatever building the apartment is purchased from with a choice of view direction. Don't allow them to be resold, one per toon, and relatively expensive, monthly rent in influence. Allow a small amount of storage in each apartment also, perhaps 2 storage items. Suites overlooking central Altas would command a higher price than a place in Founders.
Code them and make them modifiable like bases. You can even sell furniture packs in the game store. Get rid of influence and make money for Paragon Studios,.. sound win win and much of the work (base interface) is already in place. -

Quote:Agreed, a reasonable bid and a willingness to wait, ofttimes only a few minutes or less, makes all the difference. Permanent and significant effect, agreed,... no way that is happening. It is the "want it nao!" crowd that allows this method to even workI'm actually quite sure there are a few flippers out there who are making INF this way. I simply refuse to accept that these people are doing anything that permanently affect the market in any significant way. Like Chowder implied there are always times when "reasonable bids" can be filled regardless of what the flipper-monkeys are up to. *shrugs*

Quote:Indeed, no one absolutely no one is strategically buying some salvage types, dumping some at a loss when required, holding back stock, driving some prices up, and making a healthy profit with minimal effort. Those salvage pieces cost a lot because they're in high demand, not just because some ebil marketeer decided to start flipping.
