What are you pairing with Dark?

Don't know about you, but I'm gonna be all over Dark Control when it's live. Based on current trollers I have, I think my choice for a secondary will be limited. Already did /Cold,/Rad, /Thermal (gave up at level 44),/Empathy. And I've done /Dark, /Storm, /FF on other toons....so I'm thinking about going with /Poison just to have something different.

I'm thinking of going /Empathy. I tried Electric Control/Empathy but it was mind numbing so I deleted the character. I want to enjoy playing Empathy and Dark Control looks like it'll be active enough with some ok damage to make it not so unbearable.

I'm likely going to do my first repeat with Dark Affinity and pair it with Illusion, simply because I want to play Dark Affinity and my favorite Controller thus far after having played all other control sets has been my Illusion/Sonic so I ought to play it with something else I'll enjoy.

I'm debating whether Lawn of the Dead from my sig will be Plant/Dark Controller or Dominator. He has previously been a Plant/Earth Dom, Plant/Psi Dom and Plant/Rad Controller.

The idea of the AoE rezz in Dark Affinity makes the combo at least kind of conceptually funny to me. Arise, my undead plant army. And I guess I could make the Dark powers look like dirt.

I sort of wish there was a plant-y support set. The only thing I have against Dark Affinity is I've already brought Dark Miasma to 50 twice on other character.

Time Manipulation!

Dark/Time/Fire has a very magicy feel to it which is what I want for my concept. I've rerolled the character quite a few times, I think this will be the combo that sticks.

I've been indecisive between Time Manipulation, Dark Affinity, and Storm Summoning.

What about Dark/Kinetics? Can you put shields on the haunts? or the sonic -res power?

Dark Affinity for me. Ive been wanting this character since I rolled my D3 back in EU launch, a character that I still play and love. /DAff for me, no doubt

Looking at the powers, I think it's going to be very busy and a lot of fun!

You can never have enough -ToHit. Definitely Darkity Dark Darkness all the way for me.

I plan to make Dark/Storm and Dark/Poison pretty much right out of the gate. Fire/Dark also.

Eventually, I plan for Dark/FF, Dark/Time, Dark/Dark, and Illusion/Dark as well.

Oh hell, maybe I'll just do 'em all.

Dark / Poison

Already have the character name, basic background to explain her mutant power, and her first costume down.

It's a toss up between Dark and Time for me. I'm leaning toward Dark/Dark, having just recently done an Elec/Time.

Once I've got the opportunity to do so I will be creating a Dark/Time Controller.

Probably Dark/Time and may roll a Dark/Poison in addition to that.

I think I'm going to do the full Dark option. I've been drooling over a Controller with Fearsome Stare since I-2 (IIRC), and I've just gotta have Fluffy.

That said, I've been having a TON of fun with a Beast/Time MM on the Beta server, I can totally see how Dark/Time would be awesome, and as mentioned the FX would pair very nicely as well.

Fire/Dark would also be awesome... I mean Imps with a heavy Def shield AND all the -ToHit in /DAff(esp the -ToHit Fluffy brings to the party)? WITH a great heal? Great combo.

Sooooo many tasty Dark/ and /DAff combos, but I'm going with the pure super dark combo out of the gate.

OR Come on Devs, how about a Dark mastery for controllers and doms to match our new pretty powerset?

I dont usually like matching powersets, but I may do dark/dark. But it doesnt really do it for me. Of the 12 new characters I will be making tonight, the dark/dark controller is #12.

I never make matching powersets and that's what this is all about. I really really really want an Illusion/Dark, but I'm sticking to my guns and finally making a matching toon.

Illusion/Dark sounds really cool. I might give it a try.

I finally got to make Biowraith as a Dark/Dark controller. Now I just need to be able to make him a Dark/Dark/Dark controller...
