Edit: I just watched it again, says its at about the 2:30 mark then immediately goes in to Pummit talk so not sure if it's related or not.
Just watching it; I'm pretty sure he was just talking about the Player Summit tickets going on sale tomorrow.

Maybe players will get quivers if Manticore gets one as part of a revamp of his outfit to relfect his return to brooding vigilante loner status?

If we only knew they are working now on power pool, epics customization...
But if they not already working on that by now, we will never get it

They won't announce anything until it's ready to go live

Yeah, cuz we've seen how well -that's worked before.

A: The problem comes as people expect it to be a dynamic costume part. (I assume taking arrows out of the quiver/drawing the blade from the sheath) They also expect it to be extremely customizable, so that your idle animation is the weapon selected (such as Impervium katana) being sheathed as opposed to it always being the legacy katana in the sheath, no matter what weapon you've chosen. If they're ever able to do these, they want to do it *right* (unlike Champions Online), such as it being dynamic and having the extreme customization. It's not on the schedule now.
Why not just implement stand in models, like a generic sheath or quiver (the quiver really doesn't even need to be dynamic) and then when you finally bust out that dynamic tech you want, upgrade the existing costume parts? It worked for tails, and would finally make a use for that awesome backpack node you worked on for years and barely have any costume pieces for.

About the quivers...

Yeah, on one hand I can understand and respect their take on wanting to do it right and holding out until they feel like they can (I feel like their wings and capes somewhat resemble that standard)...
But, quivers don't really fit into the problem they side with for scabbards and weapons.

Just do a one-of quiver for sale. No need for a specific pack or anything... just a basic quiver with a few bolts in it... As someone else said, we can't customize arrows anyway.
Again, while I understand their issues with weapons and scabbards, I'm honestly a bit surprised that quivers were not only not done as soon as they got the back detail node in (Steampunk backpack) but that they still don't even have plans to do one.

This player here does not expect dynamic, super-customizable quivers... He'd just like one for his archery character (who has left his back detail empty... waiting for the certain eventuality of a quiver...).

What people?

As regards quivers, I've never heard anyone specifically demand dynamic quivers or bust. And I know I've never asked for dynamic quivers, or ever even thought about it.

All I have ever wanted is just a static backpack object that looks like a quiver, with a bunch of fake arrows sticking out of it. This isn't me saying, "I'd settle for that." What I mean is, this is all I want. I just want a costume piece.

I love you Paragon Studios but you're over-thinking this one.

Indeed. It's not to say that a quiver which had my actual bow attached to it when said bow wasn't drawn wouldn't be neat. Or if it had graphical representations of each of the Trick Arrows which were currently recharged sticking out of it that likewise wouldn't be awesome. But I'd be perfectly happy with a non-interactive costume piece - with perhaps a couple of design choices, of course.

I don't even need dynamic sheathes for my characters. Mostly because I'd like the option to slap any sort of weapon(pretty much any temp power option should be included here too, seeing as we can chase a temp power from recipes or Ouro flashback if needed) on my characters' backs if I wanted to.

I read the post and all i have to say is this

Is issue 22 here yet?

Give us weapons and quivers as backpart options NAO...

Please?
BTW, who cares about dinamics, we dont even have fingers or animated faces and now we care about dinamic quivers?

I like the idea of proliferating existing rifle options to other sets, and the retro rifles as new additions. Gimme, gimme, gimme! o.O

The powerset panel will just end up being another melee set.

I don't see that as a bad thing.

I think it is more likelly that it will end up as an armor set. However psi melee is MUCH requested, so you may be right.

I think we'll be getting psi melee regardless of what happens at the panel. I think the panel will be a FULL NEW PLAYER-CREATED set. Whether it's melee or not will depend on the panel.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

I still don't get the thing about the quivers. Scabbards I can see you wanting to make dynamic, but my archers never run out of arrows, so why would the number in my quiver ever have to change?

As for customization, just limit it as with other items. Give us two or three quivers - a natural quiver (simple leather/animal skin), an arcane quiver (fancied up like the arcane high collar capes and such) and a tech quiver (metallic and cylindrical looking or something) and let us use two colors on each, and viola, you're done.

As for the tidbit about claws, I know this is a pipe dream, but hopefully they've figured out a way to give us clawed hands ala Sabertooth.

I can't go to the Player Summit, but could somebody please go to the "Design a Powerset" panel and suggest Pirates for MMs?

UGH.... So.... tempted.....

Sadly while I have the money for it NOW (YAY taxes!), I have no idea if I'd actually still have the money to make the trip by time April 28th got here... and I only live an hour or two away too.

Any time invested in MMs from now until the end of COH should be spent making all the pets be player configurable, as if each one was a seperate toon that needs a costume. Once they do that they never need to make a new MM set ever again, and each time they add new costume part or animiation rig MMs would be able to use them on thier pets costumes.
