The same kind of decision that level gates events to level 30?

I'd forgive them, but it's just lazy. The game knows not to give me hero tips. Flag the Valentines tips the same way. Yeah, that means "neutral" ones would have to be duplicated for both, but so what? Do it correctly.

I think they did that on purpose so you'd still have the option to misdeliver them.

I can't deliver them to either choice if both options are in zones I can't access.

Are you sure about this, ZM? I just tried three different heroes, and after doing Gamymede's first mission he would only offer me the villain-assisted mission. I tried going straight to Zero and he only offered (shudder) Snaptooth.

I believe that when Zombie Man mentions completing the mission, he means completing both the first mission and the second mission where you need the help of the opposite alignment. After you finish both of those missions, then Scratch/Ganymede will offer the mission to talk to DJ Zero.

re: the new Rez the Red Window arc

Whose AWFUL idea was it that, unlike every other holiday event missions, you have to click every contact and complete every mission along with the team leader or you don't get the badge? It's just silly and annoying. I was with a group who ran it this morning and we were all dismayed when only the leader received the badge. A total waste of time. I had the mission, I did every one of the missions, went to all the contacts, and not once did the "do you want to complete this mission?" dialogue box pop up. With AV's and EB's, I can see this being impossible for some squishy folks to finish solo. And if they won't know to get the mission, click the contacts, etc.,- something you've never had to do before on an event team - they won't get the badges. It's just a poorly made decision, seemingly designed to annoy players.

Bugged for me; and so much for the VIP tech support...I stood around for about half an hour before logging w/o a response or even the generic email...

Yes.

To get the Badge, you had to do Ganymede's two-mission arc with a villain helping, then help a Villain with Scratch's arc.

To get attuned, you have to do Ganymede's two-mission arc with a villain helping, then go back to Ganymede for the mission to talk to DJ Zero to become attuned to Valentine Tips.

So did anyone else catch the reference that DJ Zero made when telling you about Cupid's bow?

So another spring fling comes and goes with nothing new for me. I'm sick of the content gated behind a requirement for help from the opposite faction. Yes I can log in another account and do it myself, but that's a hassle, one that gets increasingly bothersome if I want to enjoy the event on more than one character. I'll just pass again this year.

I was really looking forward to the card delivery missions. They sounded like fun... however, as a mostly solo player, having to run the forced co-op missions before getting the attunement mission means I won't be doing many card deliveries.

There should be a new contact, maybe the "Pocket D Postmaster", who gives out the attunement missions.. AND said attunement mission should count for getting the hero/villian merits from the signature story arcs instead of being forced to do a full set of tip/morality missions.

I never thought of that.. but you do need to be level 4 to get into pocket D, no?

Nope. The teleporter power is restricted to level 4+, but access to the actual club is not.

Hey, let's turn this thread into another rant-fest!

My mistake. I had assumed "You don't have to participate in the opposite alignment mission again, like you did for the badge." meant I didn't have to do the second part. It's been a few years since I bothered going for the badge, as finding a willing villain has become next to impossible, and to be honest, it isn't worth setting up CoH on a second computer just to enable this content.

I have no active missions, besides the Mayhem Mission i have been saving. To be sure, i abandon it, having no tasks open at all. Still the same reply.

Look at contact list, and she is in the 'Inactive' tab, and when i click on her... the way point goes to the Ski Chalet door, which i can not enter.

Ganymede will give me missions btw.
Problem 'solved'.

It seems that the mission log will tag a story arc as active if you talk to the contact. Even if you never accept the mission, it'll be tagged as active, i have 3 tags that way. 4th tag was from Ganymede, marking my 7th 'active' story arc. Once i did his arc, i could talk to Jessica for missions, her contact was placed in active, and all issues were resolved.

Could we please look into this? if i do not accept a mission, the tag should not be placed either.

If you get a valentines tip that leads somewhere you can't go, you're meant to just abandon the contact. It should be an option when you open it up for the info.

As far as we know, it isn't a bug, but working as intended. Rogues/Vigilantes have the most flexibility this event.
