Actually, strike the white part. Just connect the top red part and the bottom red part together. There's no reason for the exposed belly. If you want "sex appeal" the red one-piece bathing suit look should be sexy enough.

Well, to be fair, it wasn't at all obvious what the doo-hickeys on her arm in the pall-bearer picture were supposed to represent. I didn't think it was a robotic arm but I DID think that the light colors represented the arm and that she just had an anorexic figure like half of the women in that picture. As it turns out, the DARK portion was actually her arm. It was just too small to make out the details.

I still say its a weird outfit, but I suppose I see how it vaguely echos teen Penny's style. Considering some of the contents of Mr. Yin's general store, I have to wonder what surprises might be tucked into the pockets of that uniform...

Agreed. Get rid of the white and the midriff. Replace it with the black like her arms, so the costume is consistent and not trying to do three things at once. Penelope Yin doesn't need to be doing the sex appeal thing, either. Something about that just seems wrong.

Pretty much, yea. It's very much a work in progress.

Yeah, maybe it's because she grows up off-screen, or because you can still go to Faultline and visit teen Penny, but either way it just feels a bit slimy to be looking at at her as a "sexy" character.

***EDIT***
Eighteen? There's no way that Faultline Penelope looks or acts eighteen. I always figured her for about fourteen.

Should be ms liberty imo. But if I know the ego of our current dev it will be positron. Just like it was jack that adopted states. I challenge thee to make it someone other than positron.

I pegged her for 16 myself.

It's already been confirmed that it's Positron

He and Sister Psyche are the 2 most senior members after Statesman, but she's been out of action since SSA 1.4, and with Darrin Wade on the loose, they mightn't want to wait around for her to recover before they choose a new leader.

Agreed. So strongly agreed. No way does the Faultline info/story convey her as 18. And "Sexy Penny" just feels so skeezy to me.

Why? Ms. Liberty already leads the Vindicators and Longbow. She's also on the fast track to being a Vigilante in her actions. And she's never even been a part of the team to begin with. Positron, meanwhile, is personable, a genius, helped found the group, and is one of the most iconic Phalanx members both in game and out. The only possible person that could compete is Manticore, but he prefers to operate solo half the time, and the other half of the time he's making conflict within the team.

That also brings up a weird thing with the levelling up = time progrressing stuff - this leaked arc caps at 40, so it'll probably be 30-40, which means that Penny ages several years in the 5 levels between the end of Fautline and this new arc

Unless they're planning to rewrite/rebuild Faultline.

Might be interesting to update it once more. Show a bit more building progression, Jimmy, 'Nette, and Penny are all in their new uniforms.

As a random note: why does her description claim 'no one knows who trained her' it was mentioned she was being trained by Sister Psyche and Aurora in the LGTF if I recall. Though given her costume, maybe some people are right and she's starting to take after her mother.

edit: another interesting note is that a closer look at her costume also seems to show her taking some costuming cues from Maelstrom.

If she was 18 in Faultline she is 22 now. Someone said that an NPC explicitly said that it's been 4 years since then which is pretty much the same amount of time that has past in the real world... 5ish years.

As far as her membership it might mean that Sister Psyche and Manticore are leaving >.>

She could also have been trained a bit by the Clockwork King.

Manticore's still there - but Sister Psyche was missing from the meeting.

So where's Manti in that pic?

Probably with Sister Psyche - or he's just using his leet ninja skillz to dance invisibly on the coffin.

Well, in the first pic, he's leaning against the wall in the background.

I'm not so sure how well The clockwork king can train anyone.

Also, with Penny joining the Freedom Phalanx officially, this means a joke rant I had about the unfortunate (and obviously accidental), racist undertones of the Phalanx's membership. (BAB is not an official member meaning all members of the Phalanx were White Caucasians, though with Statesman's death BAB may be officially a member now)

I love the seams on the white pants - if those were down the sides of the legs, they'd be great for making normal leggings as well as tights.

Honestly, the more I look at her costume, the less I like it.

There are a number of reasons, so I'll go by then one at a time:

1) The exposed midriff. There's no reason to have an exposed midriff except sex appeal, but the rest of her outfit is blatantly Unsexy. This just makes the costume look scatterbrained and unfocused. Also, visceral "DO NOT WANT" reaction to the idea of Sexy Penny.

1a) There's no way I can accept her age as 22. There's just nothing in Faultline that feels like she'd be 18. I'd be more comfortable believing that she were 18 now.

2) It's very busy. With the random zipper looking parts and buckles and straps. It's very.... eye straining.

3) The white part feels very tacked on. Like the costume wasn't really thought through. Which, I can see, since it appears to recycle bits of Praetorian Penny's trial outfit.

4) Holy Eyebrows Nocturnal-Flying-Mammal-Man!

Honestly I liked the look of the illustrated one better, before we knew she was wearing pants (though again, no thank you sexy Penny). At least the "sexy" of the bikini bottom matched the "sexy" of the exposed midriff. The upper arm bits made it look like her arms were also exposed, as if her top had a Tee sleeve, which again agreed better with the "sexy" of the midriff/legs.

Also, the strappy parts under he shoulders looked like they might be military cords, similar to those on the Gunslinger jacket, like so:

If Primal Penelope is the daughter of Vanessa DeVore the way Praetorian Penelope is, then being 18 in Faultline says...unfortunate things...about Wu Yin's taste in women: Vanessa was somewhere between the ages of 9 and 15 when Penelope was conceived.

If she was 14, that's better: a 30-something Wu Yin being involved with a college-student Vanessa is far less disturbing.
