I'm not certain that she will. After all, mind-riding Aurora didn't turn out so well in the long run, so may be reluctant to try it again so soon.

Not to mention the question of what would happen if she tried to use the body of someone who is possibly more powerful than she is, even willingly.

Wasn't there something in the SSA so far about an artifact Wade has that boosts powers, and does something bad if the person isn't in complete control of their powers?

Maybe's he's counting on Penny not being in control of hers.

EDIT

Found it. Red side part 2 you find a list of the items Wade had the Rulu-Shin steal from the Midnighters.

Two are the skull of Tommy Arcanus, and the Dirge of Chaos, both have come into play so far.

The third is what I was remembering.

Generally, they're not the type to be wearing their old duds at large scale public events. And if they are, it's probably because they're Loyalist villains who are their to bomb said public events.

Just sayin'.

Looking at the picture, I didn't think any skin was actually showing, until you said otherwise. It all looks like white-colored tights to me, including the midriff and the mask.

After some playing around in GIMP I think I've managed to invert the filter that was used to wash out the colors.

While I can see why the filter was used -- to set the mood of desolation and listlessness -- I didn't think that's how David originally drew the characters and wanted to get as close as I could to his original work.

As an aside, I see that many of the attendees are just as trendy and "creative" as a lot of the people I see in Atlas Park . I see no less than 5 wearing full sets of Elemental Order, and 2 in full Celestial.

If those are indeed white tights and not skin showing, then we've got us a new high-ranking Longbow character. She merits an entirely different pattern on her uniform and David has even positioned her quite deliberately both apart from the rank and file Longbow and closer to Ms. Liberty than the other 'Bow. Even her stance and sightline are different than the other LB.

Speculation: The mystery person is Dillo, in his new form, after his defeat in SSA3.

The top of her shirt/chest piece, the top of her shoulders, and the lines under her eyes all match up with the picture someone posted of Praetorian Penelope

The thing about "Ms. Mystery" is that her boots, briefs and bra (or bikini, if you prefer) all appear to have volume above her body. This is what makes it look like she's dressed like a sexpot. If it wasn't for the sheen on her legs, there'd be no suggestion at all that she was wearing "tights", for me anyway.

As it stands, it appears that she's wearing a body stocking of some sort (whether it's literally a stocking or whether it's some sort of shiny rubberized sort of thing) and she's then got on thigh boots and lingerie on top of it. To me, it does not appear to be a solid body suit with the shaded areas painted or dyed.

The stylized tear depending from her right eye implies that the rest of her facial skintone is probably makeup or some other face covering.

She doesn't appear to have any affiliation with Longbow based on her uniform, that I can tell. It's a stretch to align her with them based solely on the color scheme.

Hate to break it to you but that's not a bra That is a jacket. She also seems to have robotic arms. The legs also look more like one of the currently available piece in game that is more or less armor but has the crotch piece colored differently.

Also. That looks nothing like a tear and it is an obvious face mask/plate.

The overall matching of colors indicates a robot or someone that needs armor to live...

Well, the biggest strike against both of our interpretations of the picture is that the line running down the center of the uniform would make the most sense as a zipper; even to terminating halfway above her groin, like a wetsuit.

You mean yours. That thing you are looking at is a jacket. It's one of those that don't go all the way down to the waist. It's either that or a variant on an armor piece which we have in the game that most people don't use that layers the color with the pattern selection.

No, that isn't what I mean. I agree with you, that the upper-body bit is a jacket or something designed to resemble a jacket.

The zipper doesn't stop at the bottom of the jacket. It extends all the way down past the top of the "bikini brief". If you enlarge the photo, you can see the line (or at least the visual artifacts from drawing a light-colored line onto light-colored material) connecting the "jacket" zipper with the identical line on her briefs.

That suggests that the whole outfit is one piece with a zipper for entry/exit. That sounds like a flexible suit of some sort, not some kind of body armor.

No it doesn't keep going. That white piece on the bottoms is a star like symbol that can be scene on a few pieces in the char creator >.> It's not part of the same thing.

Okay, after some more fiddling with photoshop, I'm going to concede that one. It looks more like she has a bare midriff and the visual artifacts I was looking at were just visual aritifacts.

Ceremony. Pallbearer is more about showing support than giving support. Do you really think it takes that many even average sized people to carry a coffin? ( Unless the deceased is really huge. )

Edit: As was answered by a redname later on. Surely y'all can't expect me to read through 10 pages before I can reply, huh? HUH?!

Maybe she dressed up like this FOR the Clockwork King. You know, to bring him over to the side of heroes and help save his sanity. It worked for taming Enkidu in the Epic of Gilgamesh.

Just imagine...

Penny: *enter the room* Hey, CK, I picked out my new hero outfit, I was thinking of you. Tell me what you think. ... Is that a weapon for your body or your approval of my costume?

Meh, am I the only one happy to just wait until we get some official confirmation on who it actually is?
Personally I think it's a cool costume. And it looks Longbow-ish, but whatever.

Still a little disappointed in the choice of guests, though. As in 'Why are they just complete costume pack sets? In duplicate from time to time, no less?'
Sure, have one or two complete pack sets, and the Animal pack characters are at least quite well made. But....meh. Could have been a bit more creative and also seemed less like another sneaky money grab oportunity. Maybe I'm just cynical...

(Note: Not faulting the actual art quality. That itself is really damn good. Only the costume design.)

Well, from another perspective, David probably has more responsibilities at work than this one picture. Either he could use complete sets, many of which he himself drew the concepts for in the first place, or he could spend however much time coming up with a couple dozen totally original characters so they could make their first and only appearance as the nameless crowd in an image that is really about the major characters in the first place.

My favorite thing about that drawing is that he had to make the bioluminescent hero look as though she weren't grinning gleefully.

It's probably Protean.
