I don't think Trickshooter would fit in well with the Phalanx, since he's intended to be a teenager and would just look like Manticore's sidekick to most people.
Buuut... I'd love to see maybe Tierce, Chevaliere, or Brightside joining. Hmm...
I wish I had screenies to attach of them, but I'm at work so all I have is the pictures on my character page in my signature. :B
P.S. You should also do a player-submitted Powerset addition (mostly because I recently remembered I had made one over a year ago)!

If we do get to submit our own characters, I may throw Not a Nemesis Plot's hat in the ring in just for giggles. Because he's a hero, and totally not one of those Nemesis Automatons.
First: If it had to be someone from canon, it should be Hero 1. Recently recovered from Rikti control (via your first Incarnate arc), he's essentially the "perfect" fit for Statesman's replacement. He's got the raw power and skill to add another angle to membership for the Phalanx.
Second: I really do like the idea of Sister Flame. However, if that means she can't ever play that toon again, I withdraw that support.
Third: Either way, I'll offer this by way of self-promotion.

If someone from the lore... why not bring back Hero 1? it was already hinted during Remiel arc that he will recover and stop being the Honoree

Come on, Hero 1. There should be no other option.
When they do this, I hope they have you submit the following:
- Costume
- Alternate costume
- AT/Powers information
- Personal stats (Name, age, and so on)
- Bio
Not only would the questions help them to pick a good character, it would help them in figuring out how to write the character when they use them and maybe even suggest a plot line or two they may bring to the table.

Well, what we really need at this point is some firmer details about the process or whether the idea has even gone that far yet. This sort of sounds like something that someone tossed out at a weekly department meeting and that nobody had actually thought much about beyond "hey, maybe we could do this".
I'm liking the idea of i being a Kheldian of some kind. A Warshade would be great, especially if it gets the Synapse treatment with a custom AI to really go nuts with the Kheldian forms. Double Mire, Eclipse, Nova, Dark Extraction on player characters. Fun!
Plus, there's a great story built into Warshades as it is, and they're pretty under-represented in the game.
So the suggestion of "a female Warshade in conservative clothing"? Yeah, I could go for that. If I'm able to participate in the contest, I might just make one of those.
Besides, the Phalanx could use some dark purple.

You know, as much of an ego trip as it would be, I don't think a single one of my characters would be a fitting member of the Freedom Phalanx. The only one that even comes close is part of a secret-society RPSG anyway and I enjoy playing Illumineer too much to consider having to remove her from the group, which I would surely have to do if she became such a public figure.
Well, there is another who comes close, but Atomsmash is already just Positron Lite, so he'd be kind of meh.

Then along came the Kheldians, and their need to inhabit human hosts on this planet. She learned of this and decided that was what she needed, because she was way too frustrated trying to be a hero in a super powered world with no powers of her own like she used to have. The angels thought it wasn't such a great idea, because they felt she should by doing everything on her own. But she found a kindred spirit in a Warshade who, like her, had renounced her former ways and was now trying to atone for a lifetime of evildoing. Before anyone else had a chance to intervene, they decided to merge with one another. Their personalities complimented each other so well, that by now they've essentially fused into a single entity.
Well... it sounded like a neat idea when I first came up with it anyway, LOL.
In another interview today, Positron also had this little bit of info:

This was done in a game universe a number of years ago I wrote for. However, instead of taking PC, the name of the person(s), (two winners), were cannonized into the main storyline. It was really cool too. It got to the point that us writers were putting in people's names as NPCs throughout the storyline. However, the new line developer put a stop to it and ultimately we had to kill them all off in the massive war that ravaged the entire universe. However, they are part of the game's history now.
I think I'd be willing to give up one of my characters to become a member of the Freedom Phalanx. I do have some emotional attachment to each one; however, I know I can set that aside for the honor of being part of game lore in such a prestigious group.
Current active characters: Dragon Maiden (50+3 Brute SS/WP/PM), Black Widow Maiden (50+1 Night Widow), Catayclasmic Ariel (50 lvl Defender - Kin/DP), Quantumshock (50 lvl Elect/Energy/Energy), American's Defender (38 lvl Tanker - SD/Mace), Spider-Maiden (15 lvl Corruptor - RB/PD) & Siren Shrike (15 lvl Defender - Sonic/Sonic). My entire stable.
