What side do you pick more than others?
Blue. I've got a fair number of rogues/vigilantes and a couple villains.

What play style do you prefer?
Teaming. But I like soloing when I can. I like the ride to 50 and the Incarnate stuff in it's current form and look forward to new stuff.

What power set(s) do you favor?
I favour SS/Inv because it's my main...But i've got 1 of that specific combo. Otherwise /WP. While I favour melee, I like blasting/control as well.

What zones do you like the most?
Fond of Croatoa, Nova Preatoria, new AP, Striga and PI.

Do you usually play as a male or female (word of hatred) ''toon''?
Male alts.

Views on Role Playing?
Not really my bag, but I find the idea interesting and may give it a shot in the future. This was the 2nd venue that I was ever even remotely involved in an RP environment, the first was the old online Vampire :Masquerades .

Either Blue or Red.

Melee or Defenders.

Close combat.

Kicked it to the curb for three years after really being involved in it since the pre-beta forums. Quit the game for a year and came back to it, now I'm an addict to it again.

Heroes on characters that need/want teams, villain for those that prefer soloing in quiet (and good story arcs)

What play style do you prefer?
I used to be a big fan of "support", namely defenders but also controllers/corrupters. Now I am on a melee phase. Diggin' personal survivability, missing being important to the success of a team.

What power set(s) do you favor?
Usually ones that are good without being FotM. I have two shield users, but otherwise I have no repeats.

What zones do you like the most?
Praetoria and the Shadow Shard are pretty, do I guess them. Doesn't matter much anyway, as almost everything happens in missions anyway.

I play men for several reasons. First, getting hit on is annoying, and I have sympathy for any woman that puts up with it. Secondly, because I can relate to male characters better. Thirdly, it is easier to explain me playing a random male superhero than a half-naked woman to outsiders.

Views on Role Playing?
I view my characters as individuals with wants, needs, and goals. The longer I play them, the more their personality grows. However, my RPing is almost always personal as I find RPing in a group situation to be embarrassing.

Servers?
All of the them are filled, but I spend most of my time on Infinity (home), Exalted (new home), and Freedom (lots of people, but the same cumulative IQ as any other server).

An interesting topic. I haven't read everyone's responses yet, but I suppose I don't really need to in order to answer the questions, so here we go:

What side do you pick more than others?
Hero. I use to play almost exclusively Villains, but I've realized that was more for the ATs available than anything else. I prefer their ATs and the zone/mission structure (no running to a different zone from your contact for a mission door), but prefer playing a hero. Now that we can play all ATs on any faction the choice became a lot easier.

What play style do you prefer?
I prefer to solo and I prefer ranged characters. Though my current favorite (who is locked out to me until I can re-sub) is a Fire/Fire Brute. So, really it's whatever catches my interest.

What power set(s) do you favor?
My absolute favorite character is a Bots/Traps MM and I find myself constantly searching for a good Energy/Energy Blaster concept. I've never managed to nail one down.

What zones do you like the most?
Tough to say. The vast majority of my characters never make it out of their twenties. So, i guess I'd have to say Steel Canyon and Faultline are probably the "favorites".

I play about 90% female characters. I prefer to choose gender based on concept. I have several male character that I absolutely love and could never imagine them as a female. When I develop a concept it usually suggests a gender. I don't feel like I actively choose one.

Views on Role Playing?
My role playing in CoH doesn't extend past whatever concept I have in mind for my character and the biography I've written for them. All my characters have a back story even if I haven't included it in game.

Now that I'm stuck down in the trenches with the rest of you Freemiums I'll be headed back to Liberty.

Maybe that just means that boys are weaker and less skillful in battle?

What play style do you prefer? Team. Often melee, sometimes supportive, rarely ranged.

What power set(s) do you favor? Electrical Melee, Energy Aura, Street Justice, Willpower, Soldiers, Pain domination.

Views on Role Playing? All my toons are more or less RP, have a bio and all are connected in some way to a shared lore. Not all my toons are friends with each other, but thanks to the iron fist rule by Lenina, they rarely kill each other.
I've changed the view of costumes recently, to take environment into account. For instance, I switch to a protective suite when doing Keyes, summer clothing in warm areas, winter clothing in cold ones etc. Thanks to the expansion of the costume slots, I expect to it running on my key toons within the next few days.

I prefer the hero side; however, I do play the villain side for a more rounded experience and knowledge of the game.

What play style do you prefer?

I prefer both team and soloing. When working on a new or newer character, I like to solo them for a while to learn their abilities and best way to use them as I develop their character.

What power set(s) do you favor?

Wow...let's see, currently I'm having fun with Energy Melee, Martial Arts, Dual Pistols, Kinetics, Earth Assault, and a few others.

What zones do you like the most?

I don't have a preference, I enjoy all of them as I'm leveling

I started RPing back when AD&D 1.0 was going strong and Traveller was the premire SciFi RP game. I love RPing when I get the chance. (BTW, I know I just dated myself. )

Mostly on Freedom. However, I've started on the other servers to participate in Tanker Tuesday when I can.

What side do you pick more than others?
Villain, without a doubt.

What play style do you prefer?
All of them... mostly. I have Stalkers, Defenders, Controllers, Scrappers, Peacebringers and a Brute at 50. So, not sure where that puts me. I play my controller most of all if that helps?
Edit: I think I misunderstood this a bit... I like to do small teams and occasional soloing. I have grown to like Incarnate Content, but it took awhile.

What power set(s) do you favor?
The only powersets I don't like playing are Pain Domination and Empathy. I hate having all those ally-targeted powers that mainly focus on the green-bar. Now that the ally-buffs like FF and Thermal are AoE... pretty much any set I like. My main is Gravity, and I love Electric Melee.

What zones do you like the most?
When Ouroboros first hit the game... that was easily my favorite zone. Now, in terms of looks, it has to be the Shadow Shard. In terms of playability and getting around, I like Sharkhead and the new DA.

All of my characters are male. I have never kept a female character for more than a day or two. Now, I have just given up on them for good.

Views on Role Playing?
Okay sometimes, but I can't get as involved as some folks, typing (( )) drives me nuts, and I need to be RPing with other folks I know so I can understand what is actually happening behind their keyboard... to the real person during the process.

Servers?
I play mostly on Justice. A little on Infinity and even less on Guardian.

What side do you pick more than others?
I pick the hero side to start off in more since it has more people but then I switch sides once I get to 20. I play both sides the same amount.

What play style do you prefer?
I prefer melee (Scrappers and Brutes) and Masterminds. I have more scrappers and brutes that anything else.

Willpower. Energy Armor. Invulnerability, Stone Melee. Shield. Thugs, Dark Miasma

What zones do you like the most?
I like quite a few zones. I can’t really say which my favorite is.
