Nice cover up for sure. Though it doesn't help your cause any, but then again I understand why being wrong on the internet may hinder your e-cred or e-rep. I'm sorry for pointing out those flaws, and to make up for it here's a picture to help calm your e-rage.
But you don't write with a British accent...

total kick to the gut

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.

Quite right, too true. I should start adding in strange aneurisms with every sort from now on.

I didn't say they were wrong. I'm saying you're wrong in your usage as far as I can find. There is in fact only 1 reference to anything like what you said and I've never heard any of the people I know, who are british, use such a phrase.

Regardless, the point still remains that it is rather vapid to try to explain yourself knowing that the phrase you are explaining with is even less known and used, even if it is right, which it likely is not.

I'm rather stubborn, I like to give the other forum readers an off topic slam. They need a dollop of butter for their popcorn, and you happen to be the right amount of salt. Laughter shared abound, so why not continue?

If you know you're right, and I know I'm right which makes you wrong, yet wrong of me in your eyes then we're in a stalemate. Neither of us will concede to defeat until this forum, which in and of itself is a wonderful tool made by OP to spread awareness, is shut down.

Shall we continue why you're wrong in another thread, or call it even grounds without either side willing to retreat?

This kind of negative legislation will only persist as long as lobbyists have cash to spend. If we don't have positive legal definitions of our online rights, we're going to be on the defensive forever.

You're just proving my point further so I don't care.

Anyways... Technobot... you think people are going to care about those? They barely had enough willpower to say something this time.

ACTA is already drawing the same kind of online protest SOPA/PIPA did. Polish websites are planning a Blackout Day over their country's support of the agreement.

You are quite deft if that is what you believe. People, be it against it in physical manner or hacktivists preparing DdOS, to websites blacking out; all of it combined puts down '' barely had enough '' attitude. United peoples across the world voiced their outrage, and this will be no different if not with even more supporters against it. It will be an uphill battle to have it passed without eyebrows raising due to the awareness spread.

What you guys miss is that what we saw is from a relative minority and people will eventually stop caring about these "blackouts" especially with ones such as google where they didn't actually black out, but rather just put a blackout bar over google.

On a similar note...
Another TEDtalk

About 3D printing. Just imagine the problems that will be for these people... and more. Think about all the companies that will go under and people fired due to not needing them any more because of this. Once this really starts to kick off we'll see even more legislation if it's not firmly in place and when that happens I'd be willing to bet that it will have much more mass support since it really will be taking jobs.

By the way, Senator Leahy (D-VT) is still trying to push PIPA. Yesterday he made a lengthy speech on the Senate floor about how "foreign rogue websites" were "hurting the American economic recovery and costing us American jobs" (and complained criticisms of it were "misleading and one-sided"). Leahy's repeated claims that sites like YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook* wouldn't be affected by the legislation have already been thoroughly rebutted by legal scholars Lawrence Tribe and Marvin Ammori. Sounds like Leahy needs to hear from the public again.

* And, it should be stressed, the City of Heroes forums.

I wish he'd hear it from the people in Vermont when he is up for re-elecion.

If by "foreign rogue websites" he means "American corporations outsourcing jobs to other countries so they can make a higher profit." He's absolutely correct.

Meanwhile, back at the Sundance Film Festival, MPAA chairman Chris Dodd conceded that the "unintended consequences" of SOPA/PIPA could be discussed, but he nevertheless described the opposition as "hysteria". Maybe his slightly softened tone has something to do with the news of an online petition to the White House about what it described as Dodd's recent "threat designed to provoke a specific policy goal (mentioned earlier in this thread). A pretty sad state of affairs for an erstwhile supporter of Net Neutrality back in his Senate days.

Yeah, that is a low down dirty shame. I used to like Chris Dodd a lot. I know a lot of Congresscritters sell out in the end, but this one is kind of depressing.

Going to have to screencap this.
