I gotta say that I'd love to have that chain independent of the shoulder pads or as a cape brooch option, though.

Here's the picture fom the I22 overview:

There's a kind of mesh/scales texture on the basic suit.

Wait, "Overview"? Are you trying to tell me CoH has a website here beyond the forums?!

This revelation requires more coffee.

Concerning Silver Age, take some inspiration from the master himself, Jack Kirby.

No jungle girl (and boy) outfits? Darn.

Although, I'd rather see those added along with some more woods added to revamped zones for some "pulp" story lines. (and add those maps to AE, too!)

More patterns, please. Seems odd to have just one "magic" pattern, and that one doesn't even have the usual stars and moons.

So I choose A.

I agree with the Gentleman. You've given us lots of options for B. A and C are what I'm most interested in. I think what I really want is more tools in my toolchest for making classic, simple mask/cape/tights style costumes. Those are the kind of parts I use the most, and having more of them would be awesome.

Things I'd like to see in general is more textures(but NOT pre-tinting!) The Defense set is awesome about this.. pretty much NONE of my characters wear spandex or body paint, but many of them will wear tight clothes options.
As for your options? A and C are definitely the way to go. Doing both will more than likely create the sweet spot between A and B as well.

Think tight but not tights
Interestingly enough, I notice this most when making non-Golden Age and Silver-age inspired costumes

Compare these two

with daredevil per usual

One is a guy in a tight outfit, the other is a dude in his underwear with body paint on .
So here are some suggestions of mine
Pattern belts:
One thing I'd really like is the ability to forgo a belt in favor of a pattern or texture over the waist, I have a few characters who wear leather jumpsuit type outfits like daredevil above. Not having a belt irks on an aesthetic level because it creates too singular of a body hape when broken down into it's most simple, but on the other hand having a belt breaks the connection and ruins the "Single piece" aspect.

Further, not having a belt can often betray the seams between two different, but similar textures. Having a "pattern" or "texture" type of belt, with a few thematic variations, would be great.

Examples:

Domino Masks:
A classic type of mask We have patterns for these, but patterns are, in my opinion, inferior to ACTUAL clothes options that have physical dimension. You should definitely kill two birds with one stone let the physical dimension domino masks have the whited-out eyes(though there should be a whited-out eye face option as well)
Either way these should come in multiple options including normal round, Pointed, X, Center symbol(I.e. a domino mask with some kind of shape in the middle)

Cowls: Masks that are integrated into either the rest of the costume, the cape, or the shoulders. Basically any mask that also covers the neck as well as whatever part of the face it is designed to cover. "Whatever part of the face" is important, cowls that only cover the top or bottom part of the head would be too limiting, some that do the top, the bottom, both and things in the middle would be ideal, several options for cowls, basically.

Like everything else I am suggesting, this should be done as an actual piece of clothing of some type of material, and not just painting on the body. This is very likely going to require a new type of head so I'd suggest going with a modified version of "standard" so too many options aren't locked out when selecting this rig. if not a new head rig altogether, I might Suggest "cowl" as a shoulder/neck option that can be combined with several "Full head" mask options.

Making modular costume pieces is always great.

Examples:

take this, cut the face part into sections, eyes, head, mouth, combine them in parts like lego

Face-Plate masks: Why should Statesman have the only mask like this? Some of the best-looking masks I've seen are specifically seperate from the rest of the costume. You've got your outfit THEN you've got your mask. Masks that look like something solid and leave the hair, ears, and head uncovered. Options of several masks like this, with and without straps behind the head, are much appreciated Start with something like this:

Then start going crazy

my personal wish is something tiger-themed and also angular like Casey Jones's mask

I'd love to see better masks, especially and I also throw my hat in the ring for more Kirby inspired costume options - they don't call him "King" for no reason and he is one of the giants of the Gold & Silver age - from the high art costume pieces, to the classic "Kirby-dots" aura.

Also we need more "silver age weapons" like the classic 50s ray gun and jet packs

Finally... Hats and Hair need a real rework! The difficulty of fitting a hat to a character without having an inappropriate hairstyle is a big issue

I would love to see a Kirby krackle aura, or a close approximation that wouldn't attract the attention of wild lawyers.

If we're talking strictly about super-hero costumes, as I see it there are 3 possible ways to expand on the category:

A) revamped old school/spandex tights similar to the ones we already have (adding a few details like seams but still mostly plain)

B) modern tights (w/ ribbing, surface texture(s), subdivided surfaces) a la Ultimates 1 or Marvel movies

C) pieces we just haven't made before (e.g. domino mask)

What are you guys most interested in?
I think a large selection of proper spandex and suchnot, rather than 'painted on colours' (which look horrible in white, as you no doubt know) would really help. Stuff like proper masks, too.

And, please please PLEASE can we get the old hair styles done in HD? I like some of the styles there, but they are so low poly at the moment that it's painful and, thus, I barely use them. A lot of the Issue 0-1 hairs has decent styles, but terribad texturing.

Add my vote for A and C, as well, especially C. (Plus the "larger brief pattern for females" I mentioned in my previous post up there. I mention it again it only because I just edited it to change the links into pictures and add more examples of what I mean)

I'm halfway inclined to say put off "Me Tarzan, You Jane" type ripped up loincloth and one-shoulder top pieces for the day that the team gets around to revamping EDEN into being a much larger "Jungle Zone" ... now that we have the inspiration of the first Avatar movie (of Pandora fame) to draw on, thanks to James Cameron. Turning artists like Noble Savage loose on concepting and designing a Flourescent Flora At NIGHT zone that wouldn't be out of place having 3 meter tall blue skinned "people" and Devouring Earth running around in (while under attack from "company man" Crey Industries, to "reclaim" the area) would be spectacular.

It's the end. But the moment has been prepared for ...

Oh lord, a revamped Eden would be WICKED. I can imagine that now. Forget the 'big green carpet' tree effect used in Perez and have individual trees in a giant canopy. Giant, mutated and glowing plat life, boulders unfolding into rock soldiers and the tree DE blending right in.

My own #1 request for spandex-related costumes is fairly simple. I want a "tights with skin" option that can be colored white without blending with lighter skin tones.

For reference, if you take a female character, use any basic tights with skin option and color the skin and all clothes pure white, everything is exactly the same tone. I would like them to be distinguishable, bonus points if this can be worked in to include a "tights sleek" look for all skin options.

As far as the A/B/C poll posted earlier, I guess my request would fit into A or B easily enough.

I'd like to make a concerned plea to please update and enhance the legacy textures as well.

I understand that a lot of the things you now exchange for points look much better than the legacy content, for well, obvious reasons. But some good patterns and textures for spandex look awful nowadays - Blast, Camo Paint, Cellular, and Patterns 1-6, for instance, look blurry and aliased. Unless I make a toon called 'Blurry JPG' I probably won't use them much.

In regards to what I'd want for Golden/Silver age, the less elaborate and bulky, the better. I'm taking Ascension sets as the end of the spectrum in bulkiness, and hoping we can have some new boots/belt/gloves/shoulders/BACKPACKS that don't make us look like techno-juggernauts. (Much as I love Celestial, Imperial, and Resistance, their pieces add like 100 pounds to my character's percieved weight!)

Simple, varied pieces would suit me better. Oh, and some scabbards, holsters, and quivers for all that's good in the world - golden/silver age heroes would be less likely to pull their weapon from Hammerspace!

In terms of your list of options David, I'd join the A with a bit of C crowd. However, this is one place (in both Golden and Silver age costume categories) where again I, and I'm sure many others, would scream for jetpacks. Working, functional jetpacks that animate when flying but do not disappear from the character otherwise.

Also, the option to be able to layer a pattern underneath briefs/shorts would be nice. That way we'd be able to pull off costumes like this:

And make whole concepts like this:
