Going off the rails (Warning: Spoilers ahoy!)
Reese.
I wouldn't set bombs to kill him in a warehouse while I strolled out the front door. I'd detach his head from his torso and tuck it under one arm while setting the bombs to blow up his headless body ... and stroll out the front door while doing a Vir Cotto hand wave at his lifeless eyes as I walked outside. I wouldn't beat him up at the top of a skyscraper and let his body fade away. I'd beat him up, pick up his unconscious body, and HURL HIM BODILY OFF THE TOP OF THE SKYSCRAPPER AND WATCH HIM SPLATTER ON THE STREET BELOW! Then I'd screenshot the image and sell it to Transmuter. When Reese shows up to give me a send off in the Portal Room on my way to Paragon City to become a Primal ... I wouldn't buy the line of crap that he's somehow "reformed" himself into being a nice person standing up for the little guy in Praetoria. I'd punch his lights out, kick him bodily off the barge, and make sure he was floating face down in the water for 10 minutes (while everyone else present cheers his demise, again...) before moving on to talk to the next NPC sending me off. |

Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

Troy Hickman - So proud to have contributed to and played in this wonderful CoH universe
So for a few of my own...
I know in the newest part of the SSA, I have vigilante that would have just shot malaise in the head (multiple times) ten seconds after the Dirge started playing and he seemed too smug about things.
Actually, on the third part of the SSA, I know one of my heroes wouldn't have even let Malaise have a chance to talk, he would have just beaten the ever-loving snot out of the guy before Manticore got his first sentence out. (Even if it does no good)
While something I can actually handwave in RP terms, I know my new MM is going to ICly NOT give Lord Recluse his helmet. The way he sees it: he just defeated Lord Recluse at the height of his power, and not only that, but he now knows Lord Recluse will betray him and has an approximate when, and even knows some of Arachnos will defect to him. Knowing this, he'll simply take his time to be prepared and when Lord Recluse thinks he can just backstab him spider-man's will be in for a nasty surprise.

I don't know quite how I'd do it, but I'd like to see Ghost Widow as leader of Arachnos.
My Rogue Stalker is an honorable sort. He won't kill unless it's in the heat of combat, execution of a dishonorable opponent, or he's got an assassination contract.
He can't suggest an assassination contract he'd like to take, because that would make him a murderer, instead of a detached professional. So he waits and waits for that day that someone offers to hire him to kill Westin Phipps.
It would cost him all his connections with Arachnos and related allies, of course, and make his life very dangerous from that point on. So he's going to have to charge for the service.
He's thinking a fair price would be about one dollar.
For any of Phipps' actual victims, special discount, one penny.
For a blinded orphan child, he'd accept payment in pocket lint.

Asking the doubles in the Vance/Adair arc if they have a mediporter, and if not, sending them out right that moment to get one.
Westin Phipps would die. Westin Phipps would die a horrible, slow, and agonizing death.

Beat up Malaise in the second SSA since he's just standing there on the balcony of that jewelry shop on the last mish, and I know who he is from the vision when the obelisk exploded. Hero or Villain side I would do this.
Katie would never go back in the box. My main (a hero) might be blamed for a lot of people suffering/dying. Of course she'd do all she can to save them, but she wouldn't sacrifice one for the many.

Scythus would have betrayed Zuhkara and taken charge of the Circle of Thorns ritual to kill all the Mu descendants himself and dramatically progress his ultimate goal of killing everyone on the planet.
I have a Praetorian Brute named Sir Slaughter who even though he's left Praetoria and went on to the Rogue Isles, he is still loyal to Emperor Cole. If he could do it in-game, he would beat down his leaguemates in the Itrials and allow the trials to fail. Basically, his goal is to do everything he can to prevent Primal Earth from gaining the upper hand. (Yeah, I wish we had post-Praetoria Loyalist content.)
to TO THE END!
Villains are those who dedicate their lives to causing mayhem. Villians are people from the planet Villia!
Probably in SSA6 open an ouro portal and push sister psyche into it instead of Manticores idea. Or not let her talk to him earlier in the series to begin with. Too personally involved. Only one off the top of my head. Not directly going off the rails but probably do something to follow up on my double about where they came from. At least return them to their loved ones.
Step 1 Become Incarnate
Step 2 Use Oroborus to travel back in time to before Reichman gave his troops access to the well yet not so far I loose everything
Step 3
Step 4 Profit
My villainous bots/traps mastermind would document what Westin Phipps was really up to, then tie him up and deliver him to Longbow. Even evil has standards, and it would help his image as a villain with good publicity
The biggest derailer of all could be done in Scirocco's second arc (The Hammer of the World.) By simply sitting back and doing nothing to stop Scirocco's ritual you could see the world completely free of villains, effectively ending the game.

Well, as I'm sure is pretty common, my dom wouldn't have completed a lot of the villain story arcs 'as designed'. She's the sort of character who prompts the frequent complaints about villain stories making you a 'lackey', since she doesn't see any particular reason beyond 'you're stronger than me' for obeying someone.... and she has a very high (sometimes unwarrantedly so) opinion of her own power. In-universe, she wouldn't necessarily have been able to successfully take on some of the forces she would have antagonized by going off the rails, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't have tried.
In particular, she never would have obeyed Daos, and at that point she'd be pretty justified in thinking that she could get away with doing basically whatever the hell she wanted. After all, arbiters are only untouchable if, ultimately, Recluse himself can make that stand up - and, as she would prove in only a few levels, in her case he wouldn't be able to. I'm not sure, however, whether she would have listened to Daos politely, promised to do whatever he asked, and then gone straight to Ghost Widow to warn her and plot how to destroy him, or simply run him through with an icicle on the spot - mostly because I think that she would rather have done the first, but would have had a hard time resisting the temptation to do the second.

Wait, Reichsman's troops have access to the Well? Where did this happen? i'm guessing it's in the Reichsman Spanking TF/SF and i somehow missed it, but really it was wasted on his troops since it didn't make them any tougher than normal troops.
