When I chose the Weapon Pack, it put Titan Weapons in my cart at the same time. I thought they were all like "oooh, no FREE soup for YOU!"
'Course, I was going to buy the TW at the same time, so it saved me the effort. And made me smile, thinking of the store being clerked by Soup Nazi's.
Hey, wasn't someone just asking about new alien threats??
is the store accessible outside of the game client? Im at work and cant get it!

The free 'sale' is good for two weeks.

Wait...
...they're charging 800 pts for a powerset. And selling the weapon skins SEPARATELY?
Lmao. Money grabbing.

Oh and selling additional weapon skins is no more money grabbing than selling regular costume pieces which is a long established practice in MMO stores.
Edit: Another thing, Players have been suggesting the devs sell weapon skins booster for years in this game (another I recall is a base decorative item booster). So this is more along the lines of the devs giving us what we asked for than being greedy.
It is money grabbing. The fact it's free for 2 weeks is just a marketing ploy to legitimise a precedent of them doing this in the future.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Yes, I think the TW set should of come with a few more skin models, but the pack is still free for 2 weeks, and everyone should beable to obtain them for free, and this really only effects new accounts who start after the two week mark
BrandX Future Staff Fighter
The BrandX Collection
It will cost current users when staff melee is released and we have to pay extra for the most popular weapon skins.

This time however, they are a free bundle for two weeks, so anyone who wants the skin desperately (honestly none of them impress me enough to want any of them free or otherwise) can get it while it's hot.
Blazara Aura LVL 50 Fire/Psi Dom (with 125% recharge)
Flameboxer Aura LVL 50 SS/Fire Brute
Ice 'Em Aura LVL 50 Ice Tank
Darq Widow Fortune LVL 50 Fortunata (200% rech/Night Widow 192.5% rech)--thanks issue 19!
What;s weird is they're charging for things people kept saying "Id pay extra for" and then they get people saying "money grubby"

Yeah, there will be rioting over that if they try it. The only reason there wasn't rioting over this pack is due to the launch bundle.

I'm okay with these types of packs, even if it wouldn't be for free at the start. As long as there's a decent variety of weapon models coming with the set itself, as is the case here.

There actually was rioting on the beta boards before they said the pack would be free at the start.

The other issue I just mentioned is some of the older sets having more options than the newer sets. Also folks made tons of suggestions of things that could be taken from in-game (and some that don't exist in-game yet) that could be added to give TW more options. And it's not like TW was in beta for just a week or two, but it's been up and out there for a while now.
Yet the first time they see more options is in a PAID for pack that's announced on beta BEFORE the actual powerset comes out.
I don't think selling this is that bad an idea (I'm down for whatever they want to try to sell even if I would never buy it personally) but I can see why "a few" folks might be upset.
Just saying.

The only problem I have with the idea is theese are 4 skins for ONE powerset that was already lacking in options- that's why it smacks of a cheap money grab. If this "pack" is more than 80 points (and thats pushing it) when they start charging.. then yes.. I call BS and money grab.

Maybe if they busted out these skins a month later it wouldn't be so bad. But as soon as TW comes out, you have to expect some backlash. At least they saved face by making them free for a bit.

I would pay extra for a weapons pack sure. That would be a weapons pack with waaaay more options than 4 models for titan weapons which actually were there, most people assumed they would unlockable in game (like every other set...), not that they would be unlockable with money. Sure they free now, but after these two weeks, it won't be free anymore. And just because i can get it for free now, doesn't make it any less of a bad idea.
Theres still no model for Vanguard or Rularuu titan weapons, like there are for most other weapon sets.
Look at the newer weapon sets, Dual Blades and Dual Pistols. They came with waaay more then 6 options and no pack to buy with more models.
Ever since the market came it just seems more and more than they just add stuff and wanna charge for everything and everyone at paragon are walking around with dollar signs in their eyes. Some of the pricing in the market is just mindboggling, its as if they're trying to rip off the customers, just look at the Magic Bolero for the females, 440 points. But buy the whole magic pack its only 400, its like they're baiting people, and the pricing when report was apparently intentional.
I still havn't spent a single euro in the shop aside the free 550 points each month.
I think the other issue is that this weapons set has LESS options than the older set like Dual Blades.

And of course, Issue 11 was the big Weapon Customization launch, so they wanted a ton of options to show it off.
I think, given that, 10 large models to start with compared to 15 smaller models is reasonable.
None of that comments on the reasonability of paying more for 4 of the 10 pieces, but I'm not sure I can speculate on that accurately.

ehhhh, I think the bolded was part of the main issue on the beta boards. In fact many folks were asking if more variety would be released with beta.

Chances are that if those weapons hadn't been made for the pack, they wouldn't have been made at all. At the speed they're churning out costume pieces now I'm guessing character artist time is very valuable. So they need to budget that time as cost effective as possible. Time spent on extras like this needs to be justified from a commercial point of view.
If the pack hadn't been free, I'd just gotten the Atomic Smasher for a concept I have in mind, maybe, and ignored the others.

it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

I think it's a reasonable guess (but only a guess) that the individual Titan Weapons, being significantly larger than other weapons and thus have room for a great deal more detail, take extra time per model to actually create. We got 10 Titan Weapons at launch, Dual Blades got 15 basic weapons, several of which are shared with Broadsword and Katana thus justifying the extra time, plus 2 unlockables. The rest of the Dual Blade models to date were either added in boosters or in later issues.

Yea, I can see why people are upset. I'm just not with them on the barricades this time, like with the last few riots we had these weeks.

Yes, you can buy the Titan Weapon pack now for free. Even before you buy the Titan Weapons.
This way, even if you don't buy the Titan Weapons now, but do so some time in the future when you have the Points or can afford to, you won't have to pay extra for the pack.
