I don't feel extinct.
No one pays attention to me, cause I listen to the voices in my head.

Farmers are still out there. (Although i have to admit to being a piss-poor farmer for the most part. i'm usually too busy enjoying regular missions.)

I PL'd my new StJ brute from 26 to 31 tonight. I broadcast (in a private channel) to see if any of my friends wanted to join, but no one responded. It was a quiet night.
Generally I only PL for myself or friends though.
Then I managed to find a toon of mine who still had the "Defeat Snaptooth already" mission, and I got my new brute a toga. I asked if anyone wanted to join for that too. No response.
Then I ran five tip missions. I also took the time to partially IO my toon with level 30-34 set IOs.
Then I opened up my LFG window and queue for a Death From Below sewer trial. And that got me within a bubble of level 32. 
I'm guessing some of those farmers you're looking for are playing their own StJ toons or PLing them.
And I should also point out that I would have done TFs instead if any of my friends had been around. Part of the reason I was 26 in two days was from a number of sewer trials followed by Sister Psyche (Tuesday) and last night we ran Citadel.

Edit: almost forgot THAT farmer kicked said loud mouthed ungrateful low level off his farm and from what I heard never let the guy near his farm missions again. The morale of the story boys and girls is don't bite the hand that offers you easy xp and Inf.. You may get your neck snapped in return!

So, yeah, my response was still justified it seems.
Me and some friends sometimes farm RWZ when bored or we have chars that need levels (I hate level 1-22. Pre-SOs is a drag for me now)
There's a huge difference between farming, and being a leeching door sponge on some random strangers mission. Even when with friends, I still contribute what I can (even if it IS just a meatshield/alphamagnet until level 10)
So, yeah....you have more important thins to do than play the game? Good luck with that.

I miss Lighthouse tons. We've never had a mod/community support as good as him.

Whenever changes are made to the game, every single player always has the option to stop paying their sub if they find the changes have seriously affected their way of using the game.

I was wrong. This thread is the worst example. The OP seems to feel that he is entitled to afk in a farm mission while someone else does all the work, and he's pissed that he can't find anyone to play the game for him.
You want to farm? Fine, go for it. But do it your damn self.

Or the Stj/something toon I saw which was 50+2 and had ultimate IO bonuses on everything 24 hours after the set was released? That guy certainly was faster than me, Stj doesn't seem like a set that self-PLs well and I think he was one of these 'natural' types (/Sr, /WP, you know, no damage aura), so probably someone else PLed him.
Anyway, OP, go to the Brute forums, that's where you'll find about it. Or hell, just go to AE on Atlas or Virtue, everyone's farming there. On Freedom you don't even need to enter the AE because it's the broadcast server, on Virtue people farm a lot too but they don't b/c they are looking for/selling runs but when my brute there reached 50 I got lots of tells asking 'my prices for runs' in the Cap Au Diablo AE - since I don't do that and I got annoyed I ended up in the AE in Sharkhead to farm alone.
So if you want to get PL'ed by someone else there are plenty of people announcing 'farmer 5 mil per run' or something like that, especially on Freedom, anytime of the day/night. Hell I played there most of my time and I still don't know what all those people broadcasting 'lf private AE farm' mean (I'm guessing offering money to get PLed).
