Please make the market usable if you want more money!
So you are irritated with the store because you can't remember what you've bought.
You can see what costume pieces you've unlocked by looking at them in the costume creator.
You can see what power sets you've bought by looking at them under the list of power sets when creating a character.
You can see how many costume slots you've unlocked by looking at the number of costumes you have while in the game.
You can see how many character slots you have unlocked by looking at the character selection screen.
You can see how many storage unlocks you've bought by simply logging in and looking at how much storage any given character has.
And I'm pretty sure that there's a command you can type in (someone will have to confirm this) that will allow you to pull up a list of all your purchases from the chat logs.

the rest isn't.
I know you are obviously a fanboy and willing to defend all criticisms of this game with your last dying breath but you want to defend the market? Really?
You list a whole bunch of workarounds that the average person can spend a couple of hours doing but why should we?
Why should we spend a few hours to find a way to send the Dev's some money? If they want our money, they should make giving it to them as easy as possible.
Don't argue against a user interface fix which has no negative impact on anyone in this game, it just shows you are willing to argue against anything in defense of the developers regardless of justification. As such, it pretty much invalidates your opinion in it's entirety.
Heh, after seeing this response I don't even know why I bothered to respond to Forbin on another thread. He seems to think everything is perfect in the game.
For like 50 bucks I can have an online store made for me in one of those hosting sites with a better interface than the Paragon Market.
This could be useful.

The devs did make it easy. In each of my examples you can see exactly what you bought without ever opening the store interface. If pointing that out to you makes me a fanboy so be it. You can believe what you want.

It should all be included in one, easy to use Market Interface.

@Giant2005: I think the Devs have recognised this is an issue and have "plans". Might have been in one of the UStream thingies.

I agree that the market interface needs some changes to make it more usable. If I've already bought something, it shouldn't even appear in the store anymore. Or there should be a page of bought items that I can scroll through.

this caught my eye , it makes no difference to me it it shows what i own or do not own in the store list since i ascually do have it all memerized (not really that hard to know what came in what booster pack)
but if nothing else it does take up room i need to scroll past looking for anything i might want to buy
however (this may be adressed somewhere else i dont know) i'd like an option to buy someone else something on thier wishlist , which would mean i need the item to show up in my store to "buy as a gift"

Telling people that jumping through numerous hoops in order to do something which the market interface should do in one set place (and then backing it up with things like "The devs made it easy to do" when they did anything but) is just terribad advice.
I mean did you not look at the 5 different proceedures you'd listed and think to yourself "You know, that's not that easy or convinient at all now I look at it"
If not then I sincerly hope you're not a designer of any sort.
The system should have a list or report telling you what exactly what you own/bought, as well as clear labels on each item as you browse telling you "Hey, you already own this".
Edit : The added advantage from a Marketing point of view is that you can use lists like that to do multiple things such as "You might be interested in this thing" based on what they do and don't own (for example if they've got nearly all the cossie parts show them the ones they're missing, because they seem to love cossie bits)
There's no denying that the store interface needs to be updated to make it easy at a glance to know what you've bought already. That's pretty much a no-brainer and I'm pretty sure the Devs are already working on that.
Until that happens it's not really that hard to keep a separate list of things you know you've already bought. It only took me a few minutes to summarize what I bought over the years and keep track of the new things in the market. Sure it's far from an ideal solution, but it's much better than bickering about it here in the forums.

I have no problem remembering what i have...i have no problem using the market...and i have no problems to the point i'm going bk in game..bye.

tbh, I "own" a lot of stuff i have no idea that I "own" because I bought packs for one or two items in them.
I can't tell you what all costume parts or auras or emotes that I already have.
I have held off spending some money on the PM because it seems I need to engage in a multi-step process to keep myself from making purchasing mistakes in a system that doesn't offer easy access to refunds.
Sure there're work-a-rounds and other stuff. But, I will not be bothered to go through that.
So that leaves us where I can be content with what I have, or the PM can be adjusted to make it more likely that I spend more money.
I wonder why Forbin is opposed to customer-friendly solutions to problems?
I can remember what I buy, thankfully. For me.
That doesn't mean the market UI isn't an Omnissiah forsaken abortion of terribad-tastic Fail proportions.
I mean, seriously, who does the UI designs around here? They've been doing a pretty low quality job for some time now. And no, I couldn't do any better, before anyone pulls that one out. BUT, if I was being paid for a job, I'd want to be sure I was producing something that worked as intended and wasn't basically a walking QoL disaster.
That clearly doesn't apply for the UI design.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

I believe a redname said they're looking into this problem, and intend to fix it. Until then, my solution was to put everything I know I don't have on my Wishlist, and then only add things to my cart from the wishlist. (When you add something to your cart from the wishlist, it's removed from the wishlist.)

Thanks for the info guys - with the knowledge that the issue is being actively worked on, I'll just let my points sit there unspent until the issue is resolved. Probably a good way to force me into not wasting my points anyway.
I could probably remember what I have on my account if my household had only one account. With multiple accounts it can become tricky remembering which one has what items purchased if you don't buy everything for every account at the same time.
Devs would post more if they could say "hi!" without people whining because they wanted them to say "hello".

I apologize on behalf of some of our more uncouth forum residents who are somewhat overbearing in their opinions and judgements. Also, while I agree that the usage of Fanboy deserves a slap and a return to reality and logic vs negative remarks, at the same time using that comment does not invalidate your opinions or make you suddenly deserve everything your frustrated it.
Respect others even if they don't respect you otherwise you just add to the problem. Stick to points and agree or disagree as much as possible with logic and solid things/opinions you can stand behind. Believe me I know it can be hard with some of the more opinionated and slightly arrogant posters.
That being said, this is a pretty universally agreed upon issue and the devs are looking into it. Had that been said initially instead of certain posters trolling this would have been an easy answer. The rest could have been respectfully presented as workarounds till things got fixed.
I'd imagine the best solutions would be to remove the 'buy' button from anything you can't purchase twice (costume/character slots, +storage, costume pieces or simply move them to a new page of 'Stuff you own' so you can view them all in their short-descriptioned glory.

I have 6200 points I can't seem to spend.
I am exactly the type of customer you want to be keeping happy, so far in addition to my sub, I have already dropped $200 into the marketplace.
Until the market is fixed, there will be no more and let's face it, when it is fixed I will be dropping an extra few hundred a month.
The problem is, every time I try to buy something, the store won't let me do it because I already own it. Considering how slow and laggy the store is, trial and error is not a good way to make purchases.
I just spent an hour trying to spend my remaining points and ended up with nothing. I won't do that again until this issue is fixed.
I am happy to give you money as long as you are willing to let me spend that money.
