  1. it's a long shot but beter then no shot, sent the email to valve and signed the petition, is there a list somewhere of possible buyers for this seen a few mentioned (not sure what the deal is with EA but never played too many of their games and they were single player if i did)

    a list of any possible avenues and who to contact in them would be nice
  2. most of the time i just slot as i got and work things out in my head with not much emphasis put on set's , but this i'd like to get as good as i can (and cheep as possible but with merits and time i could upgrade)

    still working on getting a few of the last things for this build (and upgrading a few to as high as the set goes) useing mids i saw the sirracos dirvish i had in had most of it's bonuses negated so had to change things around a little

    and noticed the energy and negative energy deffence seem a bit light , but not sure how to buffer that (and how to see the effects with the incarnate agility alpha)

    so any advice would be helpfull more on the cheep end but any considerd
    (the brute is doing better then most of my charactors , but had forsterd ideas of soloing gm's ...and with this build that's just not happening lol)

  3. ok ya the best i could figure was it stacked but just seemed MUCH higher then dropped off to nearly no improvment over the tier 3 and didn't know the recharge was on the powers, good to know, but guess that means the hard time limit on some wont be altered
  4. just a few days ago i upgraded from my tier 3 agility alpha slot to the tier four
    i wasnted to compare the difference so before crafting it i wrote down the affected atributes
    i wrote them all, but for simplicitys sake i'll narrow it down
    Recovery 4.14 / sec
    smashing deffense 42.5%
    recharge 30%

    i made sure i was not being buffed by anyone at the time , not even secondary mutation , or fortune and i was very happy to see the states after i slotted jump to
    Recovery 4.44 / sec
    smasing deffense 44.09%
    (although i didn't see any change in the global recharge)


    after a while and then loging out and back in the atributes were much lower at

    Recovery 4.26 /sec
    smashing deffense 42.79%
    (and again no change on global recharge speed)

    is there some factor i missed? this was on a WP brute , a lot of the deffence comes from sets, but also the WP deffensive abilitys, maneuvers, and combat jump



    up untill now i have always just done things in my head or in a book but tried messing around with mids for the first time and not sure how good the build really works out if i could get some advice (also i don't see the agility slot effect the deffense in mids or did i miss something?)
    this is very close to my current build but more where i was going with it after a respec

    please let this be the one and only time , or at least give us the option yo buy it all in one pack for the points most costume sets go for

    (many of us already paid for things we didn't get like much of the CoT options which seemed like a bait and switch, then carnival of light only working on female charactors)

    if things start coming out having me need to buy 2-3 packs to get the set ...i'll stop buying

    the 2 biggest things i am looking forward to with this issue is the LFG chat so hopefully /hc can go back to being used for people who have real questions (especially since there are a lot of new players and a few have been reluctant to turn to /hc because of the chatter, of never get questions answerd because it is lost in the sea of spam)

    edit , and the vip #@ arc

    and the tier 9 vip rewards (mostly the wings , although like another thread i'd rather have that booster bettween the wings on it's own)

    if we had the options to do TF's or Trials solo (which since we can set ourselves at x8 i don't see why we can't) then i would look forward to them as well but untill that time it is VERY unlikly i will ever do them

    while i don't know if i agree that it's the best looking (i liked the old style but the atlas revamp puts it on par i think) but i think that would have been good for 2 reasons , 1 no DFB in preatoria so no free noobs getting PL'd to 20-30 before they even know what they are doing

    and 2 with the influx of so many new players i think it could fit nicely with the storyline with the "new" people coming from the other dimention now that it is opend up

    except with GR being 'special' i guess that would never happen and so instead it sit's relativly dead but still new and shinny
    (and i would like to see it expand to 50 and even incarnate zones on it's own)

    and for people debating what will happen after tyrant is gone ...well statsman is dead but still standing around in IP giving out TF's , while that may change keep in mind not everyone has done the high lv stuff to be aware of what 'happend'

    if anything i think this would be perfect for the phase tech have basic missions but if you take part in the overthrow then tyrant is gone blocking some missions but opening up new contacts and missions in the power vacum that follows
  8. only made it to about page 8 so you may have mentioned this or had it mentioned
    but in one of the earlier posts you mentioned how the old perez park (and similar) missions could get stuck in your list since you couldn't drop them , but it might be worthwhile to note you can now hold more then 3 missions at a time

    and with the ability to teliport to a contact you have not been introduced to yet can make getting to a new zone even easier , warp to a contact in that zone and while there talk to whatever person your mission was to speak to

    i'm a canadian so don't get the holiday for the celibration (it would be nice if some non american holidays got a nod at least)

    but since i have all that already i'd have much prefferd something like a /e beer emote (although T for teen i guess we can't get that)
    or a chef's hat , apron or other BBQ related costume options

    from whats been said it was adressed as a bug but that is a change since i ran the first part of the arc several times and then when part 2 came out ran them both and was still getting astral merit and hero merit for each

    the change syncing the timers for them all wouldnt bother me if it was a 24 hr timer then when the 7 part arc is done you could run 1 a day but 7 missions with a maximum of 4 rewards per week? seems like we get short changed a little
  11. this caught my eye , it makes no difference to me it it shows what i own or do not own in the store list since i ascually do have it all memerized (not really that hard to know what came in what booster pack)

    but if nothing else it does take up room i need to scroll past looking for anything i might want to buy

    however (this may be adressed somewhere else i dont know) i'd like an option to buy someone else something on thier wishlist , which would mean i need the item to show up in my store to "buy as a gift"

    well the recharge on Qflight still helps since while your not phased you can still fly with it

    i had to respec my ice tank because i added a second slot to hibernate before i realized 2 recharge was useless since i still couldnt use it anyway (was a pain to respec for the sake of salvageing one slot i almost left it there) with 1 recharge its still up in times i need it

    I saw a few of the costume codes on ebay before (i live in toronto and they never have any conventions here or even close with any coh stuff lol) and i damn near paid $150 US (would have been about $175 for me then) and was willing to go as high as $200 US for the PPD Shell code untill i found out it was a toggle like the halloween outfits and all i REALLY wanted was the legs and arms

    i think i have all the other codes (or equal to) except for the helmitshad the base coh , then got the collectors dvd of cov (arachnos cape) found the coh vs cov edition on ebay for $5 (someone bought multiple copies but found out the free month from the same edition wouldnt stack so was selling them off cheep) also found the DVD of coh with the sheer cape on ebay (would have cost me $40 including shipping but had him take out the code and comic and send it to me came out to $25 CDN or so) and got the vet reward to get all the sprint options

    i THINK the only thing left is the helmits if i have missed anything else i'd like to know

    (also on xmas STEAM had a 50% off sale for the architect edition since i had the magic and cyborg packs already got it for someone else though equal to $15 free)

    if the time i paid for gave me vet badges early i'd probably buy 2-3 months at a time untill i was caught up (it is may 31st and my account info shows my 30 month vet is waiting for me on april 4th then it's 3 long months till i get my first staff lol)

  18. my bots/traps was my first redside 50
    i liked trip mines on my /device blaster and took it but respec'd it out since everything dies so fast there was never a need to set it up and lure enemys to it when in the same time i could wipe out the room

    i tend to tell my bots to attack the closest thing to me , run into the group toss caltraps slightly behind the group, drop the poison trap , get in front of the group and drop acid mortar (and since the bots have knock back and i take the second pulse rifle shot with KB and they sometimes run from the acid mortar they get caught up in the caltraps) by this time if everything isnt dead yeti drop a second layer of caltraps in front but partialy overlapping the one behind (anything caught in the middle is slowed to a crawl and more often worryed about running then attacking)

    web grenade anytime and i tend to jump in the fray with sands of mu (if you have that option) if everything fails (and it rarely does) set any remaining bots at the enemy target one with moderate health and hit detonate , drop caltraps in the path and make my escape to resumon
    i do not have haste or stamina and have never really had any issues with it or getting bored

    (the only mm i think i will ever take stamina on is my merc/poison since i need to debuff more often then i need to drop traps , that mm is also my only one withought a personal attack)

    but then i solo almost exclusivly with my MM's and tend to talk to people i know via PM's so maybe thats why i dont get bored as much
    i solod this way on the old "invincable" setting (well whatever that was redside)

    oh nothing anyone else would have a problem understanding im sure its just that my computer skills pretty much max out at the ability to install games lol one of my chars has binds to use a few sayings and had to have a bud do them for me lol

    (so nothing to do with your explaination as much as my ineptitude)

    as for making rest not have a recharge though i think that whould be a bit overkill especially in teams where 7 members could cover for you drawing agro from the GM or AV while you rotated so eveyone had full end all the time.
    if you want rest to come up faster sacrafice slots to it (hell even slot interupt reduction in it to rest 'n' run without waiting as long for rest to take effect

    well since i dont have 3-10000 posts im not sure if you care about my enjoyment of the game (i have played on one account or another since 3rd day after release just never bothered with the forums)

    what bothers me is that when i load old chars of mine into the tailor half my clothes and/or face is changed and it tries to charge me for changes i never made
    (the cost is not of any real concern but getting a new face with new outfit colours ,patterns and scale IS a concern especialy when all i want to do is change the hair colour)

    i realize most times the outfit is still availible but now moved to a new location (im resonable sure the face 3 is now face 15 although its hard to tell for sure) i dont know why im forced to change my outfit and scales back (as close as i can get them) to the way i want when something new coming into place should be givin its own space and not move everything else around?

    this hasnt just happend to me but to anyone with an older char that loads to the tailor

    also where are shorts 1-4 for male chars? i dont have the boxing shorts yet and even if i did i dont like the look of them for what i want , i dont see why it was removed (takeing something AWAY and telling us we can have ONE option similar at the 30+ month option isnt much of a reward to me)

    so if the costume change at the tailor is a bug please fix it if that or the male shorts 1-4 is not a "bug" please return them to us
  23. it depends on the AT im useing (really only have end issues with tanks and brutes at low lvs and to a much lesser degree trollers and doms) if a willpower or fire tank this is solved pretty early by quick recovery or consume

    always turn of sprint of course (and not just for the fight and turn it back on to sprint to the next on 1/2 a blue bar but when you enter the mission turn sprint off unless your ends nearly gone and you have to excape)

    if you dont mind either "wasting" your second build by making some odd choices for slots early on or if you have a vet respec try putting 2 or even 3 recharges in rest maybe one or more in haste also sure that means less slots for things you want but its really not that much and you can have a slot in it and one in a power youd normally slot
    (once you get higher just /respec and sell all the enh you got pick your powers the way you want and go slot them as you would with only 1 slot in rest etc

    (for tanks eraly on i also do nothing but slot my toggles for end red since if the toggles drop i have0 dmg resist or defence so better to have .17/s drain with lower def then .26/s with only slightly higher def or dmg resist
    and just because you have a toggle doesnt mean it needs to be on ALL the time you dont need to have energy shields on for fighting snakes and if your surounded by 4 hellion slammers and one buckshot kill the damed and drop your energy defence and keep your smashing active)

    you may be willing to let things go if someone hits you once and says sorry (placate) but if they are still burning you i dont think they will buy the apology lol
