read the note again, it says 4x, not 4

I agree the single Astral Merit is a bit wimpy...if it's just one per week and not per arc, I'd settle for no less than one Empryean Merit.

Most of the people you're referring to, I assume, don't enjoy the honour of having been called "perverts" by her, or having received a collection of other insults as I have.

I should have posted it here, but when I think Barbarian clothes for women, I think something like this:

I'm not sure what people think of when they think "barbarian," but to me this is nothing more than a rugged individual whose character is based around survival off the land, yet is also restricted to pre-iron-age technology.

What this means for my expectations for what women should get is, essentially, animal hide clothes, war paint... Would this not be the best place to put in a muscular female skin, I ask you? But my personal pet peeves aside, I was expecting something rugged which looked like the clothes of a survivalist and warrior. What I'm seeing in those pics looks... Not like that. Maybe there's more we haven't seen.

Also, while that's not a bad picture, I always kind of imagined Barbarians being a bit closer to standard popular convention... possibly less so... Like the Celtics or Norse Berserkers, see also: naked except for maybe a cloak and a piece of jewelry.

The picture you posted shows 2 different outfits for Abomination - unless there's more than one of them.

Even though they're extra rewards on top of the current Incanrate rewards?

First off it's ONE ASTRAL (4 threads), not 4 astrals. (correcting the poster you quoted). And yes very much so pathethic.

Especially when you can get 40 threads from the WST. Which depending on the tf of the week may or may not be easier than these signature storyarcs. Which is on top of current incarnate rewards.

Some of those WST will probably faster (with folks having perfected speed runs for nearly every tf in game) than running these signature story arcs.

In addition there is a 4x Reward Merits reward.

So again, yes very much so pathethic.

If I'd called it "restricted to iron age technology" I'd have to go on a tangent explaining why I don't mean full medieval plate armour or flintlock weapons. I'm not that well-versed in the history of technology, however, so I could have gotten my tech wrong

All rewards are ofcourse still subject to change as nothing from PAX is even in BETA yet.

Getting 50 Threads a week instead of 40 seems like a nice little boost - raging over a 20% weekly Thread increase is just silly

My current incarnate rewards amount to about 1 shard an hour. I do not raid. Period. Never have and never will.

Remember, we're talking about solo (or small group) incarnate progress, which, for practical purposes, doesn't exist right now.

As shown in previous posts, if this is 1 per week total, it still won't exist for practical purposes.

I really hope they aren't thinking those will be the top sellers when people will have to pay real money to get. I don't think there is enough face palm in the world to express my thoughts if the marketing team did think these will continue to be bought when this goes live.

This.

I bought some things on beta just to see if they could be bought. and would transact correctly or I wanted to see them in my inventory so I could get better descriptions and images and such.

Also good to see barbarian pieces, must have been inspired by the new Conan. At least there was one good thing resulting from that movie! lol.

Can't wait to see more about the sig story arcs!

Unless they need to be reminded with one word:

"Boresight."

I seem to recall people saying in beta that that would be in *incredible* demand on the market... and it pretty well never has been, as far as I recall.

Not "all", some. I bloody well hate it. It's stupid. They look more like technomages now. I want the robes back.

To people who've been asking for a viable solo tract since the day the system was announced? Yes.

Actually they were at first; I even recall someone commenting after an early market fluctuation that "even the mighty Boresight" had fallen in price. Of course, this was the era when 100,000 or so was a common price for Clockwork Winders....

They said the DEVELOPMENT TEAM all fell in love with it. Not the players. The players roundhouse kicked it.

you misunderstand. his point was that the positron, upon our original reaction to the first look were surprised and said that when david originally showed them the tights and spikes look of the initial revamp, they all liked it. that was part of why they were soemwat surprised with the almost uniform dislike that they got on the forums(cavaets, a few people liked them, and there probably was some snowballing mob mentality eventually, but they did look silly to me.) the initial revamp, with tights was mostly disliked on the forums. the new look is kind of a mixed bag for me. they do look a little bright and detailed for low level mobs, but its got some charms to me and i have at least 4 costume revamps waiting for those forecloth/armored sides combos that david said we are getting a form of in the all things art thread. so ill adapt to the look if it means i get it for myself.

Meh.. I still hate it. IMO, they ruined them. If they REALLY had to change them, just improving the models and textures a bit would have been fine. I'd rather see improvement to player meshes, to be honest. They suck, especially at the joints...
