I don't understand the whole thing honestly. Why bother mentioning your gender in the first place?
This is the internet, such things cannot be proven or disproven-even posting pictures proves nothing, I can easily post a time stamped picture of a someone else in front of a computer and say that is me IRL but you have no way of knowing for sure.
The best way to deal with people looking to hook up... tell them you're a g.i.r.l. (Guy In Real Life) regardless if you are or not it'll send the creeps packing... unless they're into that sort of thing.

Yes I know several guys who have and a few women who have. One guy outed himself out of guilt and had to move servers from the backlash. I once told Con I gave away more stuff than I have ever recieved and he told me I was doing it wrong lol.
You also know a certain guy who has pl'd and io'd several toons for females, but not me!! I so give him **** over that lol.

1.Report it by sending a Petition
2.If you on Ventrlio or Team Speak, report it to an Admin, if the Admin is Causing it leave ventrlio.
3.Global Ignore them and they never will get under your skin again.

I actually wouldn't object to an all female server. They have all female subway cars in Japan for reasons that are not dissimilar to this.
It would have to be a "don't ask, don't tell" kind of all female server, though. Clearly men would go on it sometimes, but if you did or said anything that revealed your gender (such as hitting on women), they could report you and possibly have you banned from it.

It's like if you owned a store and put your merchandise on display in the front window, and then saw a bunch of people walking by and looking at it like they're casing the place to rob you. You'd start to feel threatened. If they're looking at it like maybe they might be considering making a purchase, that's almost always going to be a welcome glance.

And yes, women can sexually harass men.

Honestly though it doesn't have to be sexual in nature I have had both a man and a women harass me enough to report it and it was not sexual by any means.

Odds are the kind of guy who really poses a threat (or even a feeling of threatenedness) would reveal his own gender deliberately. Female to female harassment certainly exists, but not in the same volumes. Nobody is expecting a perfect solution. It's just nice to reduce the frequency of occurrence to a near zero percent. Just because perfect zero is only possible in a perfect world, doesn't mean it isn't a good idea to try and get close.
Some people have tough real world situations to deal with, and go online to escape from it. Not be subjected to it even more.

You're suggesting that I should be able to be banned from a server simply because I happen to be male.
Let's tip this on it's head right quick. Let's have a server that only WHITE people can play on. Yeah, let's see how quick THAT hits discrimination lawsuit critical mass.
Oh, it's not right to only allow white people to do something? It's not right to only allow women to do something either. Especially since there is no way for anyone to possibly know your gender. *I* have been hit on in the game before, just because I was playing a female character at the time.

If there were to be a seperate server for females, purples, under 12's etc. Does that mean the devs should take away the ability to report and petition aberrant behavior? It is not like they don't have a safe place to play. If there is a female harrassed on a co-op server, is it that persons fault for being on the wrong server?

That's when I first realised I have a very "womany" personality when I try to be nice with people. I forget what I was doing in Atlas Park on a character in shorts and a small jacket, but I got chatted up by this guy whose intent I didn't catch until he asked me if I had a boyfriend. Well... I just don't think that A) most of these guys are stalkers worth banning and B) a female-only server will solve that. Especially with City of Heroes: Freedom, when everyone can make multiple accounts and lie about his gender on half of them.

Truthfully...and in my experience woman need a little testosterone in their lives regardless of harassment, and many woman just don't get a long with each other period. So harassment would come from people fighting.
Boys like to fight each other all the time and it would only be a matter of time before complaints came in from the Femminist server. It would prolly take a week, but then it would be...horrid.
Not all of us feel that taking the male element out of the gamer base is smart, and as a lot of ladies have already said in this post, the reality is simple...Buck Up, do your thing. Follow channels if things get out of hand, but you don't have to just sit there with a frilly dress on crying cuz a boy had an impure thought.
Seriously...Mature gamers know this, woman know this, men know this, and if either side of the spectrum of the sexes are pigs, then it's because they're pigs.
