Woot!
New job, so this will be the first 2XP weekend I will be able to join in since I started playing, almost 4 years ago.
Add me to the list of happy people... Amidst one of the most grueling school schedules I've ever experienced this year, I haven't been able to play much CoH as of late... However, I just HAPPEN to have the 2nd week of August off, so I finally get to participate in another double xp weekend, which I haven't been able to do for like 2 years!

To the people who took time off work just for the DXP weekend: get a life. 
Levelling in CoH is already ridiculously easy and the end-game consists of grinding the same missions for iXP. Use your unexpected free time to go outside, take your significant other out for dinner, etc.
For those of us, including myself, who can now attend the DXP weekend. WOOOHOOO!!!!

It's not that they need to get a life its that they have one, a busy one.
There's alot of people that have to fight, argue, negotiate, manipulate and in my case before my home business took off, BLACKMAIL...just to get a few -certain- days off. These people work hard and they want to play hard. they don't get or have much time off and that means they are going to make the most of what time they do have. To them, Double XP is a near Epoch event.

Now I am going to bring up another thought. Think of the CSR, OCR and Dev's who are all going to be working the Double XP weekend. Do you all not think that having to change it last minute affects them also?

Ugh...Ard Boyz weekend for those that play Warhammer. That's going to take a large chunk out of Saturday for me. This weekend was perfect too. 
I don't work on weekends anyway. Doesn't affect me in the least. Winning.
Oh and lets not forget that this is the second player event in a row that has been postponed (at the last minute). The first being the "free activation week" a couple months back!
I hope this is not some kinda of trend.......
I'm just hoping that since the 2XP weekend is postponed the dev team will use this to their advantage and make the WST for that week something like Posi (and it's red side equivalent) so more players can benefit from teaming or Manticore (For selfish reasons).

Well first....ewww at all the folks attacking people b/c they are inconvenienced by the change. There is a vast difference between someone responding to an announcement and how it's impacted them vs responding to someone else who commented on the original topic, just for the sake of berating them or minimizing their frustrations. Sometimes these forums should give credit for Troll Class 101.
All that said, my biggest issue with this...and it may help save face here, is what exactly was the issue? If too much iXP was being granted, big deal? It's only a few days long and let's not forget that iXP has been screwed up the past few weeks giving very poor returns b/c of a glitch. Or the fact that we've been having to wait an inordinate amount of time to even start a trial until the most recent fix. If that's the reason this was postponed, super duper thumbs down.
I'm fortunate enough to be able to shift the time as needed and make my own schedule to an extent, but I could certainly understand the frustrations of those who have had to maneuver schedules and will now lose out on the new event due to the inability to shift hours again so quickly.
Could we have free server transfers this weekend instead? That shouldn't require any massive adjustments and would seemingly be an easily implemented compensation?
A game may just be a game, but the time and effort you put into planning for it and playing it is valuable....can't minimize that.

What also makes me wonder is if the NCsoft crew and the Paragon studios crew weren't "communicating" when they handed out 15 day free activation game codes to unsubscribed accounts on the 15th. Perhaps the influx of activations scared them enough to postpone it.

Its fun reading through the comments on here about dxp being moved..... I find it interesting that people are so "dedicated" to a game that they are willing to take vacation time and/or exchange a work day.....
The reason that I say its fun, is simply this.... Folks are lashing out like this is going to be the last dxp weekend ever and how dare the Devs/Paragon Studios reschedule this.... To those that work and are complaining about this.... Grow up!

To those that arranged time off and it got changed on them, I feel your sorrow. I understand how hard it can be to get time off. My guess the biggest reason this got delayed when the issue was found is SDCC - It's Wednesday and the devs might not all be back yet, even.
