While that was my thought it turned out unfortunate when I finally tried it myself. On the other hand, darkening it the darkest blue I liked results wise. Here is an image of that along with an experiment I conducted on my theory of a more solid helmet.

Gregor Richardson doesn't respect magic, he bends it to his will. I figured playfully juggling magic while observed by his trusty familiar (the little red guy in the bottom right) would best represent that. I liked his purple shirt (I carried the purple over to a runes hand aura and to faint magical tattoos on the forearms), but still went with more professional threads, which I think makes him look sort of like a stage magician practicing between acts.

The baggy-pants versions of Serafina look much more Genie-like to me. I approve. That Gregor Richardson upgrade is stupendous, too.

While this is true, that the Korean Pants look more Genie-like than the Chinese Pants, they do have a clipping issue in the back, which I alluded to earlier. You just couldn't see it in Dragorian's pics because he only showed a front and 3/4 front profile. This is one of those things that needs "a thousand words" (or a couple pics) to explain.

Oh and I tweaked the colors again and chose a different set of gloves this time, which rotated the glove point 90 degrees around the arm (to match the original). These screenshots were also taken around sundown, local PCT (Paragon City Time), which cast the shadows of the AE building over everything where Serafina stands in Brickstown.

Redside generally fares better than blueside due to being newer but there's a few here and there that could stand small updates. Attempted two different updates of Technician Naylor. First pic is more accurate to his current look while the second uses newer pieces. I chose the smiling face since he does seem generally friendly though that could potentially be changed. I apologize for not taking a pic of him out in the field since I'm not a vet and thus lack the Arachnos logo. That said, there's a chance his height may be a little off.

I had a go at Mr Bocor. Kind of messed up the proportions but it's hard to tell when you're in the tailor. I wanted to give him more of a Voodoo priest feel to him whilst retaining his Family connections. I went for the Wisp aura instead of the Ghost aura because there's an eye aura option.



I made him a bit shorter in the code.

Valkyrie has always bothered me because of the hair matching the costume colors. Unlike some posters, the super-yellow hair doesn't bother me, because that's how blonde hair is often rendered in comic books. For me its more about how all of the colors run together.

Here is a shot at breaking the color up some. I'd pulled her hair back so she is more representative in silhouette. I'm unsure about the gloves and some other pieces but here is my basic concept:

That might be because it's actually fairly close to what you see Crey Infiltrators wearing in Brickstown. Colors are changed away from Basic Black, of course, and there aren't any cybernetic implants (visible), and "back in the day" when Brickstown was developed, the Strappy Shoes hadn't been released yet, so you won't see those on Ladies of the Crey.

But I did want a "power suit" business executive look (this *IS* the City Representative, after all!) who would be wearing "heroic blue and white" colors ... hence, what you see.

@Oedipus Tex: I like the look, Tex... but I would be hesitant to use the Resistance Chest due to its strong connection to the Resistance in-game. Of course the colors you chose are wildly different than anything we have in-game for them, it will always make me think of that group, and obviously, Valk has nothing to do with them.

I was up late so took a stab at Swan too. We don't have her back-cape, so I had to improvise with the bolero. IMO what I thought she could use too was a departure from some of the monotone. I couldn't find a lot about her personality, so based on her name, I tried to carry her in a "nursery rhyme" inspired direction for the fun of it.

Thanks.. yep I agree about that armor piece. I like it a lot but its very theme-locked. Here is what the same model looks like with a more generic chest piece and some other modifications (mainly hair color and toned down frills on the accessories).

The natural contact from Atlas, she is rumored to have a lot of contacts and no everything that is going on in the city: So I thought playing up sort of a cop angle via the belt and scanning the PPD channel would help. Unfortunately the upper arm glitches through the holo-display. If they used something like this design I would hope that would be fixed, or maybe there could be a policeband scanner without the holo (just the hand device and arm positions): That would actually be a pretty cool emote.

Er, anyways...

Sara Moore wound up being a bit of a redesign as opposed to just being an increase in resoluion but I hope it fits. I figured that her bio stating that she's considered the leader of the Shadow Shard residents means she should be visually portrayed as combat ready. That doesn't mean she's decked out with rocket launchers but she should have a bit of preparedness to her. However, since this is a rough environment, I opted to partially keep the tattered clothes and opted to give her the scarred face with the intention of making her seem like a survivor.

I find the Statesman shirt on the old version interesting. There's one of two possibilities: Either it's just an Easter egg or it's meant to show her as a fan. As an Easter egg, she's not the only NPC with that shirt. As a fan, there's other ways to portray that. Penny Preston, being a child, seems more like a traditional "fan" than an adult from an alternate universe like Sara Moore. However, she could easily be inspired by the Freedom Phalanx as a symbol of hope. I opted to add the white star to her shirt to reflect that inspiration. In fact, deep into the Shadow Shard it could be argued that she's the one in red, white, and blue inspiring people to press on.
