I believe something in the description for Penny Preston mentioned that she was a teenager (anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong), so I added a bit of height to this one intentionally. I wanted to try and mimic a graphic tee with the chest emblems, but the size an placement for the shirts option was different so that didn't really work out D:

I liked that JSJS looks a bit older, so I kept a wrinkled look for him. I could not see him in either the newer mad scientist lab coats or the older lab coat (which is so disheveled I regular use it as a scavenged overcoat rather then anything professional) so he ended up with a white blazer.
As a random side note if the Galaxy contacts move and start sharing offices with the Atlas gang, I'd expect Jonathan to be using the coffee drinking emote or reading a book so he and Rebecca don't end up playing "dueling clipboards".

Amazingly that is the smallest waist setting. What happened is the armored top was causing an odd distortion in the belt sides without the build being scaled pretty beefy, leading to the size you see. I separately tried dropping the armored top entirely and just going for tight, which looks cool and very classicly heroic, but I started realizing that I really liked him with the bulk: He looks less sculpted then a lot of the signature characters and especially with the solid helmet he makes me think of a football player turned hero.

Serpine's Ghost Falcon: I really do like the design, but not the choice of sliders and I believe base model. Ghost Falcon is supposed to be a normal-looking guy in power armour, and the one in the pic is just... Fat, honestly. I'd say drop him down to the Male model and don't make him too muscular. Instead, rely on the bulk of the Armoured torso and legs to provide weight.
I'm also not sure if Ghost Falcon really needs a redesign. He looks pretty good to me, goofy Golden Age cowl aside.
Serpine's Jonathan St. John-Smythe: That's a pretty good design right there, just, ah... Try to make him look a little less evil I know the old man faces are kind of all evil-ish, but you picked the most menacing-looking of the lot and made it even more threatening with the sliders. Give him a rounder head and a gentler chin so he looks less like an anime villain
[b]TsumijuZero's Valkyrie:[b] I love this design. Sure, it doesn't scream "valkyrie," but then neither does Mynx scream a minx to me, nor Bastion either a citadel or bastion. Nor, for that manner, does the Statesman look like a statesman. At first the design looked a bit hodgepodge with the mismatched pieces, but I found reason to the distribution. About the only thing I'd swap out is the gloves and possibly boots. Either go with Justice gloves or outright swap to Alpha boots and gloves. These look pretty when used as tech.
Terra Green's Penny Peterson: That's a pretty solid attempt, but "teenager" can be something from 13 and up, and 13 is still a little kid. I'd still like to see her drawn up as a child, so I don't agree with the extra height. Or the breasts, but there really isn't anything you can do about it in the costume editor. One assumes the art team should be able to, though. Beyond that, the costume is solid - simple pants and shirt design, just like it should be. I'm not sure if we don't want to get rid of the pigtails, though. They're a bit caricature, and have been even on the old model. Yes, a little girl with pigtails is classic, but... Not THESE pigtails
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

That is the Male model (not the Huge) at about 75% Physique, very low chest, and no waist. My theory is that the in game GF is at about 25% Physique with a near maximum Chest. I may drop down a picture of the lighter build I had tried but I'd have to reconstruct it first; I didn't bother saving it at the time because I frankly liked him better "fat".

I'd honestly go with a much smaller frame - mid-slider if not less, and instead go with larger armoured pieces. The Armoured chest and legs along with Big or Banded gloves and boots tend to look best on low-to-mid sized muscle sliders. If you want to make him bigger, though, you can always go with a skinny Huge model. The heads on these are... Square, no matter what you do, but the Huge model comes with big shoulders an large feet, which may serve to give the armoured look a heavier feel without making it feel fat.
That being said, any suggestions on some better targets (I'm kind of running low on the Atlas/Galaxy Basement crowd)?

Yeah I have a lot of issues with those three faces. I think Older Face 2 looks the scariest, more like a stretched flesh mask rather then a real face. Older Face 1 has very deep lines so it comes off as really old. And Older Face 3 heavily shades the cheek bones and chin tip so its harder to get a soft shape. If you could give me some slider recommendations I'd happily try them out, or do you think just going with Older Face 1 would be better?

OK, I found an "old guy" I made to serve as a an evil butler to one of my signature villains (and then swapped him to another...), who I think has a decent old man face that doesn't come off as too evil, even if it's a bit... Unsettling. That's the one:
I used Old Face 3 on him, but I sort of hid the most unsightly parts behind glasses and a moustache, which I think just add to his characters, rather than looking like bandaids. The sliders are difficult to explain over text, so here's a costume file if you're interested:

I believe something in the description for Penny Preston mentioned that she was a teenager (anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong), so I added a bit of height to this one intentionally. I wanted to try and mimic a graphic tee with the chest emblems, but the size an placement for the shirts option was different so that didn't really work out D:

I've been aiming at contacts that are specifically using low resolution models. Thus the fact that I did one for Sara Moore yet I didn't do one for Sarafina though I did think about it. Since we don't know who they will or won't pick, almost everything is fair game. Also, some of these need revamps not just because of resolution but rather because it better fits their backstory.
I dislike it but the reasoning mirrors what someone else (Techbot?) said when you showed it off the last time: The face looks too much like a male model/movie star than a gang leader. Though I guess the comment on the fact that he looks like he could have been a former superhero can apply.

He is just big-boned.
Amazingly that is the smallest waist setting. What happened is the armored top was causing an odd distortion in the belt sides without the build being scaled pretty beefy, leading to the size you see. I separately tried dropping the armored top entirely and just going for tight, which looks cool and very classicly heroic, but I started realizing that I really liked him with the bulk: He looks less sculpted then a lot of the signature characters and especially with the solid helmet he makes me think of a football player turned hero. |
