The truth of the image is actualy obscured behind the City of Heroes logo.
See, this is an action shot. They were all posing for a picture, when Synapse made a disparaging remark about Manticore's stature. BaB and Numina were trying to flee the impending conflict, Positron and Citadel didn't notice it, and Synapse was attempting to run away when he was tripped by Manticore grabbing his feet.
The momentum yanked Manticore perfectly horizontal, leaving his quiver spinning in the air. At the exact moment when this painting was snapped, Synapse was in the process of falling over. Manticore is obscured by the CoH logo.
I think that the original picture was too bunched up, especially once the logo was added, so they've tried to remove Manticore, and probably Sister Psyche too.

I like the art itself. Sure I would have included Sister and Manti. To not put them there is fine *if* they chose not to.
But to make a rookie mistake like that on a "Promotional" picture....
Hey guys.. let all put something together to promote the game, to promote the company and show everyone how good we are.
They will just have to ignore that we don't have anyone employed here that will actually proof something.
I think Black Pebble needs to play less with a stupid toy off camera and maybe have his people actually concentrate on their jobs in marketing!
Yes.. you can blame the artist for this flaw, but moreso Marketing as they should have caught it.

Statesman pose is bad. It looks like he ate too much rice or cheese and is having trouble...um...going.
K, I'm now siding that the 'foot' is really 'cape'... but it does mean Statesman's cape makes a drastic turn near the bottom... maybe it's from Synapse fanning the air with his feet off the ground.
Also, there's a triangular indent in Citadel's back. Probably from were one of the pointy ends of Manticore's cowl's rubber hair overlapped it.

It does look like someone missed some details when modifying the original art for the purposes of this mailer. We've notified the appropriate people and will make every effort to ensure this doesn't happen in the future.

Wonder if David did that piece or not. He mentioned in a new bit on DA that he was doing CoHF stuff in a new style. Looks like Marketing did some hacking to it for sure...

Of course it will happen again in the future. Otherwise, what else will we have to pick on??
I have a good idea for you to seriously consider.
Have your mock up(s) kind of 'preapproved' by marketing.
Then submit them all to the boards and we will go over them checking for things out of place etc.
That will give you at least a dozen or so 'checkers' that you don't even have to pay for. We will help give you the most polished version and then you can submit that to the world at large!
If legal gets in the way, tell them any and all forms of possible payment we would receive were in the form of allowing feedback to the company.

In the City of Heroes Freedom advertisement, we see Statesman with Citadel standing behind him, but while Manticore was Photoshopped out of the picture, his quiver is still visible. I mean, what are we to believe, that this is some sort of a magic quiver or something? Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder.

I think Statesman is carrying Manticore's Quiver and the jagged red piece near the Freedom logo could be a piece of Manticore's Bow.
(And yes, Synapse's feet are missing under the logo.)
