Edit: Why his helmet? Is that necessarily the most recognizable part of his costume? For Statesman, I'm not sure they can use anything but a cracked face mask. For positron, I'd go with a shoulder pad. Except, they might have to use the should pads for Sister Psyche...

A portion of his chest plate maybe?

Eh. His helmet's not that important anymore, otherwise he wouldn't stand around in Steel Canyon during Rikti bomb runs and Zombie invasions without it on.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

It's going to show a spilled and trampled bottle of scalp wax.

This all looks and sounds awesome. Although a few of my favorite signature chars are Hero 1, Manticore and Statesman(mainly the Troy Hickman comics version) so I hope they stick around. If a leading member of FP was to die off maybe Vanguard could cure Hero 1 from his riktification and he step up.

Manticore is in the midst of teleporting.

Eh. I figured they'd show a wrinkled, dog-eared Xeroxed version of The Course of Superhero Romance.

Positron's helmet, Statesman's faceplate and Synapse's goggles are items they could use - but if they're doing these pictures for the have that could be whole Freedom Phalanx, then I'm not sure what Citadel, Sister Psyche and Numina have in the way of items that could be separated from their outfits.

Well, if you look at the top of the page, Sister Psyche has the semi-circular shoulder pads. You show one of those, with a flap of green fabric attached so people don't think it's Xena's chakram.

Numina is harder because everything about her is a bit ectoplasmic. I don't think she's in much danger here.

Citadel... well, if his head were blown off and missing the face, that could work.

Because it's one of the 'base items' that you get, along with Manti's Bow, Statesman's Face Plate, Psyche's Belt, etc. (I think.)

Not much that Numina could be separated FROM. That whole ethereal thing.

*pause*

On the other hand, a zoomed-in shot on a Soul Catcher (imagine some crystal or gemstone thing), shattered on the ground, and Numina pictured in each of the fragments a la the Phantom Zone...

There may be some connections between "A Storm will rage throughout Paragon City" and The Coming Storm.

Hmm... I wonder if the "Who will DIE?" will be posed to the community in the form of popular vote, akin to the death of Robin (Jason Todd)?

That would be interesting to see the outcome.

OK, I shouldn't tell you this, but I'll let just YOU guys in on a little secret. Keep it to yourselves.

We only see Manticore's quiver there because...he IS the quiver!

That's right. Always at the forefront of the gaming world, CoH will now give players the ability to become...an inanimate object!

A quiver, a garbage can, a fire hydrant, the sky's the limit! Have you always wanted to be a desk chair in Frostfire's base? Now you can live the dream! Would you like to be a sailboat, floating placidly while Lusca comes and goes? It's yours! YOU, my friend, can do more than ride an elevator; you can BE an elevator, saving heroes' butts as their life bar teeters on empty and watching in futility as you give minions a ride for that nerve-shattering sneak attack! A lamp...an ashtray...a windblown piece of trash....it's all YOU YOU YOU!

City of Heroes #27: Still Life

Be there!

Troy Hickman - So proud to have contributed to and played in this wonderful CoH universe

Is it possible he was shopped out to reinforce the message of the email? IE, they were missing you?

And the red beside the logo (manti/synapse's 'foot') is clearly the bottom of states' cape.

Weirdly enough, on looking closer, only the top of the quiver is there. There is clearly some of citidal's arm between the quiver and States' bicep on the left hand side.

Sister Psyche's bathtub?

What?? Hey, the idea is to attract new players, right?

"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"

"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."

Even writing satirically, Troy Hickman smokes the writing in the Incarnate story and lore given in the game.

I thought it might be at first as well, but then I looked again and I think it's a trailing, rippling corner of States's cape. Flowy fabric bends at weird angles sometimes and if that is indeed a foot (which I postulate it isn't) then its drawing style is wildly different from the rest of the art. If the "City of Heroes" text wasn't there, it'd look something like this:
